Last night I dreamed of going back to high school. Bill O'Brien came in as our new math teacher.
But Romeo Crennel is the one who's responsible for the improved record this year.
:mariopalm: That story went way off track.

Yesterday my snorkel took a desk for my wallet. I then told him he was under arrest, but my mom was never around to play legos.
wait, I know that song and that is not the way 5th Dimension sang it.But when Jupiter sits in the dove's apple, the top hat will always grow out the East.

Detroits Jim Caldwell, Houstons Bill OBrien, Minnesotas Mike Zimmer, Clevelands Mike Pettine, Washingtons Jay Gruden, Tennessees Ken Whisenhunt and Tampa Bays Lovie Smith led their teams to a collective record of 42-70. Only the Lions and Texans had winning records.

#Texans' O'Brien on staying as team's OC: "Godsey did a good job this year. ... It's a collaborative effort." Said OC role will be evaluated
Prediction- Doug Marrone will be named Texans Asst Head Coach/OC within next two weeks. He just opted out of his contract with Bills.

So you're giving him no chance of getting another HC position?
"Prediction", by definition, acknowledges other possibilities... I am reading into OBriens relationship with Marrone and the fact that OBrien is still protecting the OC position.

Why would Marrone leave Buffalo to be our OC?
My first thoughts were that there was another HC job open that he likes. He's already been tied to the Jets, but San Francisco looks like a pretty sweet job.
Jets and Marrone are now talking seriously.
Why would you leave any job to go to the J E T S.
Texans have fired OL Coach Paul Dunn, according to Johnny McClain
Dunn was at best O'Brien's third choice.Paul Dunn came to the Texans from Atlanta. They decided 2 go in a different direction. O'Brien will be interviewing prospects 2 replace Dunn
The Texans have fired offensive line coach Paul Dunn. He coached the line for one season under Bill O'Brien.
The TEs (Perry) and ST (Ligs) coaches are ones I would be paying attention to next if they continue shake ups.
Billy really wanted Munch didn't he but lost out to Pittsburgh, now wonder if they could get another shot a Munch ?

Just curious - last year, Munch chose the Steelers over the Texans based at least in part on his Pennsylvania roots. By most accounts, he had a very successful first season with the Steelers. What makes you think he would make a different decision today given the fact that he had basically the exact same decision a year ago and went with Pittsburgh?
More money, more responsibilities, to name a couple of incentives.

Hypotheticals aside, he's under contract. This is a non-issue.
Hypothetically speaking, they could get around that with the old asst. HC title...
it'll never happen tho
And what makes you think the Texans would offer something significantly different than last year? They knew a year ago they were competing with the Steelers (and maybe another team or two, but primarily the Steelers)

Does it make sense to you that they would fire Dunn without an inside line on someone already?

I'm sure they have 2-3 targets in mind. One they could take another run at is Ferentz.
Not sure what this was all about. Not saying they are the ultimate judge, but PFF rated the Texans o-line 5th in the NFL. 3rd in run blocking, 12th in pass blocking. Not sure they were that good, but they weren't obscenely bad (like in 2013). Seems like something other than just results are involved.
