NFL Random Thought of the Day

Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter
And Odell Beckham Jr. was the THIRD wide receiver drafted last May...

Usually right.

Wouldn't mind teaching Evans how to run a route and chucking it up there for him to snag, either. So many good WRs in that class.

Fantastic WR class. Evans and Benjamin have caught on faster than I thought they would. Watkins is a one trick pony but he's pretty good at that one trick.

Beckham was my favorite WR and his teammate at LSU, Landry, is starting to look pretty good as well.

Landry I liked more than most everybody, it seemed. Every time I went to watch ODBJr my eyes went to Jarvis.

I think he's similar to Anquan Boldin, and I think it's very possible that he could eventually create similar consistent production for his team.

He's fantastic. I just think Beckham is special. I couldn't find one play on his tape at LSU where he didn't get open. He just knows how.

LSU is not known for putting out offensive talent but in just this past draft they put out:
QB - Mett
RB - Blue, Jeremy Hill
WR - Beckham, Landry

Eric Berry's statement regarding his diagnosis
"I am truly thankful for all of the support from family, friends,... http://fb.me/1NsYu7p5H

Chiefs announced S Eric Berry will visit a lymphoma specialist in Atlanta to see if doctor can figure out what the mass in his chest is.

Quessenberry was diagnosed with lymphoma, too.

Praying for both.

But this one didnt count

bias or not, i have to give the nod to hopkins. the distance and velocity of the pass he caught at that angle is the trump in my opinion. twisting versus falling is also in hopkins' favor. a rookie in new york is obviously more fun than a #2 receiver in houston for the media though.

as a completely random aside, i'm having an epic case of deja vu ... as in a 3rd or further recurrence.

OBJ was physically accosted on his catch. The DB did everything he could to physically take him out of the play. That's what made that catch so awesome to me. Dude tried to tackle him.

It pains me to admit it, but the Patriots are straight up mauling people right now. Don't know how they do it, Brady and Gronk is pretty much it on offense....but they are laying the wood to everyone they play.

that i didn't know, i was just going off of the still images.

He said he was upset that the Patriots scored on their last possession... he felt they should have kneeled & ran out the clock.

Notice, it's the losing team taking the knee.... usually don't see that.

He's not just an asshole then, he's an idiot as well.

NE got the ball with over six minutes left. They ran the ball four times in a row and then DET called a timeout before a 4th and 2. That shows me that they still want to play. So NE throws a pass to convert.

They then run the ball again. And DET calls another timeout. Hard to kneel the ball when the other team is slowing down the game. They run two more times to end up 4th and goal from the 2. They kick a FG, but DET gets called for a personal foul. Now it's 1st and goal from the 1 right after the two minute warning. They run a dive and score.

Big deal. Yes, they could have kneeled three times and ended it but DET was giving every indication that they were trying to keep as much time on the clock as possible.

And when DET got the ball they threw it five times before they kneeled to end it.

Funny. Today I think the last slivers of the old Cowboy guard were cut away.

Virtually their entire existence, the Cowboys have always worn white at home. The story as I know it goes that early on they decided that wearing home blue jerseys was bad luck in a major way.

Since the rest of the league wore their home dark jerseys, the Cowboys got the bright idea to wear white at home and that way they would never, ever have to wear the dreaded blue jerseys again. Of course, beginning with the NFC East teams and not by accident, others began to wear home whites to force Dallas to wear their blue jerseys.

Alternative uni's aside, and since they aren't all blue or white they wouldn't count anyway. I can't remember a time when they wore blue tops at home, and that goes back quite a few decades.

So today they wear blue jerseys. Must be they were right.

(In my best old school Astrodome PA announcer voice)...Ladies and Gentlemen, your attention, please. From AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.........Philadelphia 33,.......Dallas...... 10. (crowd laughs)

I noticed that too.. I was thinking WTF?

Anyways, they got their ass whooped!

AT&T Stadium is the most neutral stadium ever. Every game I have watched that is played there, there is just as much cheering and crowd noise for their opponents as there is for the Girls.

I LOVE it!

This guy from Dallas radio agrees with you on the unis

Craig Miller @junior_miller
There are three reasons for this awful Cowboys loss: 1) Pitbull 2) Wearing blue at home 3) Pitbull

Just hearsay, but I was told that it was the 1st time they've worn the blue shirts at home since 1971.

Refs just hand the game to San Diego

I thought it should have been offsetting, but if you're right, I think I'll buy those refs a drink for it...lol.

Btw, I see what it is now with Jacoby. It isn't inability to catch punts and kickoffs, but his inability to catch them when it matters.

Yep, he can't concentrate when it's needed the most

Coming to a television near you. On December 18th, let's get ready to rumble.

Thursday Night Football.....

Tennessee Titans vs Jacksonville Jaguars. :overreact:

Two good looking young QBs firing up the first of what could be a long head-to-head rivalry.

Wow. Miami must be missing some players on the defensive side of the ball? They face Geno Smith and one would think they would be obsessed with stopping the run in order for Geno to crash and burn with the pass.

The Jets got 116 rushing yards in the 1st quarter alone. Yeah, that's daring them to pass alright, but entirely the wrong way of going about it.

:mariopalm:

If ya can't block 'em, hold them and then clip 'em and knock them out of the game

Rex Ryans new mantra

Have you seen the Jets cheerleaders uniforms tonight? I sure am glad we live in a warm weather city

does anybody have worse luck with interceptions this year than tannehill? it seems every time i turn around he's thrown another that a receiver popped up into the air.
