They have a chance to soften the fall with their arms but with a hip drop tackle once your legs are in the wrong position you have no chance whatsoever. And they fall forward, banging their heads against the turf? Will concussions increase? Will there be unintended consequences?

Does anyone still consider Josh McDaniel an offensive genius or even a good HC candidate? This guy drafted Tim Tebow in the 1st round. He gets another HC shot with the Raiders, gets rid of Carr but brings in injury prone Jimmy Garoppolo and Brian Hoyer is his backup. As many could have predicted. Garoppolo is injured and Hoyer will start tomorrow.
I'm surprised he didn't try to sign Brady.
Raiders QB Jimmy Garoppolo ruled out against Bears, Brian Hoyer to start for Las Vegas (nfl.com)
Looking at all those names it appears Mark Davis got Tommy Boy'd by the patriot way method..
Could be the Dumb and Dumber version..

I guess Davis didn't get the memo that the Patriots way without Brady and Belichick is a fool's errand.Looking at all those names it appears Mark Davis got Tommy Boy'd by the patriot way method..
What's wrong with him.........a screw loose?..............a slow learner?.............a stupid SOB?NFL fines Kareem Jackson $43,709 for unnecessary roughness

Stefanski: Watson remains 'the leader' of Browns
Browns coach Kevin Stefanski said Monday that Deshaun Watson remains "the leader" of the team even after the quarterback was removed from Sunday's game against the Colts.www.espn.com
Stefanski would not say whether the Browns are considering putting Watson on injured reserve, which would open up a roster spot but force Watson to miss at least the next four games.
"He's getting better," Stefanski said, "he's a competitive kid, he's working hard."

Eagles, in need of secondary help, acquire Byard
The Eagles on Monday acquired safety Kevin Byard from the Titans for safety Terrell Edmunds plus two draft picks -- 2024 fifth- and sixth-round selections.www.espn.com
Depends. If you're one of those that loves the draft & what-ifs more than the game itself, Titans just got a whole lot better. The rich get richer. And a division rival gets weaker.

But if you've paid attention to their recent drafts... your rofl
Why is it called a "dirty" hit?
I think you need to see at least one of the hits [watch Video] in question..........they are all similar. He's been in the league quite a while and the way he hits "may" have been more acceptable 10 years ago. The game isn't the same one he learned and he isn't changing. Why is it called a "dirty" hit?
If an OLman moves before the snap do we call that a dirty get off? If he holds do we call it a dirty block? If a DE doesn't get off the field in time, is that a dirty substitution?
Illegal block in the back... yeah, that's dirty. Cut block while a player is already engaged, yeah... that's dirty. Tripping, yeah that's dirty.
But these "defenseless receiver" hits... I agree with the call, I respect the safety of the players, but it's still a tough thing to do with the speed of the game & all the moving parts.
Im not going to say KJax intended this or that. Maybe he's wreckless & careless, but I don't think he's trying to injure anyone.
No offense taken. I did see at least one of the hits before my last post. I'm not arguing the call or the punishment, only people calling it a "dirty" hit.I think you need to see at least one of the hits [watch Video] in question..........they are all similar. If that were Jackson's first time to lead with his head and knock a player out it wouldn't either... it's getting to be a weekly thing with himIf that were Pitre he wouldn't have been ejected & nobody would be calling it "dirty."
I understand that. It's part of my argument. If that were Jackson's first time to lead with his head and knock a player out it wouldn't either... it's getting to be a weekly thing with him
Why did he just start with the hits like that?I understand that. It's part of my argument.
It's an illegal hit. It's a good call by the refs. But it's just a penalty. He's not like Ndamukong...
The intent, I don't believe, is malevolent. He's just stupid.
Yeess!!! This is a record I didn't think would be broken.. (76). I hope it does, just like the comeback. Still have to remember though.. Howell still has to survive another 37 sacks.. another part of the reason why I never thought the record would be broken.Sam Howell has 40 sacks through seven games, on pace to shatter NFL record

Be aware that NFL players never wear "protective" cups.
Chiefs WR Justyn Ross has been arrested in Shawnee, Kansas, and he is facing a felony charge of criminal damage of more than $25,000.

Titans may play both Levis, Willis if Tannehill out
Both Will Levis and Malik Willis may play quarterback for the Titans on Sunday against the Falcons if Ryan Tannehill isn't able to play.www.espn.com

NFL lessens ban for Broncos' Jackson on appeal
Broncos safety Kareem Jackson had his suspension for illegal hits reduced from four games to two games by the NFL following his appeal.www.espn.com
The original report was for a felony damage of $25000. Speaking to a KC friend, his girlfriend, who he dragged through the home, did not want to testify against him and minimized the damage he did to the home. Maybe they kiss and make up now...........![]()
Chiefs' Ross also charged with domestic battery
Chiefs receiver Justyn Ross has been charged with domestic battery and property damage of less than $1,000, court records show. Both are misdemeanors.www.espn.com
Yep, God'ells NFL is becoming more like like Arena League football everyday.I think you need to see at least one of the hits [watch Video] in question..........they are all similar. He's been in the league quite a while and the way he hits "may" have been more acceptable 10 years ago. The game isn't the same one he learned and he isn't changing.
What game are they playing in the NFL these days? Because it sure isn't football. If that were Jackson's first time to lead with his head and knock a player out it wouldn't either... it's getting to be a weekly thing with him

Irsay: NFL 'admits' 2 incorrect calls in Colts' loss
Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay says the NFL "admits and understands" that two pivotal calls at the end of his team's loss to the Cleveland Browns on Sunday were incorrect, as coach Shane Steichen's club fell to 3-4 after the home defeat.www.espn.com
Those 2 egregious last minute calls certainly make an argument greater for rigging than for honest "mistake."Doesn't matter
