NFL Day 3: Rounds 4-7

Point taken but I don't want to carry 4 quarterbacks on the roster heading into the season. Why not try to get something instead of cutting one?

Again, I dont think either has much value. But yes, you're right in that you take the pick(even if late round 6th or 7th) instead of cutting. Have to wait and see what happens.

We'll more than likely cut Leinhart so he can "pursue a starting position" (once the lockout ends again) and go 3 QB's, I don't think Yates would last too long on the PS

Draft grades thus far-

JJ Watt- A+
Brooks Reed- A
Brandon Harris- A
Rashad Carmichael- C
Shiloh Keo- B-
TJ Yates- B-

Assigning grades like in college (A worth 4, B+ 3.3, B- 2.7, etc) and we get- 3.23333 = B

I am bumping it up to a B+ due to hitting on the early picks
I don't think it's fair to weigh day 3 picks the same as day 1&2 picks.

Really? Your worried about our trade grade.

Who cares what the talking heads say.

Yates is the kind of guy who as a back up can manage the team and the offense when needed. Would not be surprised if he beats Dan O out before the end of the year.

Kiwi- I hope your right my friend!:texflag:

I´d say:

JJ Watt- B+
Brooks Reed- A
Brandon Harris- A-
Rashad Carmichael- B
Shiloh Keo- B+
TJ Yates- B

Overall: B+

Moved around a bit for targeted player <--- new.

Thats fair, which is why I bumped it up a bit. B+ instead of the B. But in my final grades I post after the draft I will change up the weights- rounds 1 and 2 worth 5, 3 worth 4, 4 and 5 worth 3, and 6/7 worth 2

If you're behind him, then I feel better. But to me, this was looking like Brink revisited.

I am. To me this is the kind of pick the Patriots would make. Take a low round flier on an important position. Let Kubes work with him and develop him either into our own backup or spin him off for picks in a couple of years.

Leinart signed a one year deal with us and is a free agent is he not? If teams believe he learned anything under Kubiak someone will sign him to compete.

So, was TJ Yates the guy that was throwing to Britt, Nicks, and Little?

If so, then why the hell wouldn't we draft this guy? Obviously, he has helped some WR's out when it comes to the draft.

Depends on the RFA rules in the new CBA. If it goes to the same rules we were under last year, then Leinart is a restricted FA and he'll be tendered as a first round value.

But that doesn't mean we can't trade him to someone if they want him.

yeah, but we're not the Patriots still have too many needs to address first.

I just have pictures of Brink in my head.

Haha Pats & Eagles trade one spot with each other to keep the trade streak alive.

Vikings select DeMarcus Love, OT, Arkansas
