The funny thing is, even those who are commenting on all of the other players they wanted instead of Clowney. Had we taken any of those players and they played like they have on the teams they are on, and Clowney went to another team and lit it up you all would be crying and asking why we didn't take Clowney. That is was a no brainer and our FO are imbeciles. You know it's true.
I don't know about that. Greg Robinson is the starting LT for the Rams. They've beaten the Broncos, 49ers, & Seahawks since he's started with a QB carousel & Tre Mason is "blowing up"
Maybe we'd have started him at LG & even though I'm a fan of Ben Jones, I don't think he's dominating that position like I believe Greg Robinson could. Or maybe he plays RT & the games Derek Newton took off..... maybe Robinson comes nto his own.
Or Sammy Watkins... Fitz would have looked like a god from day 1.
Still, I don't associate Clowney's injury with his past medical history. It was a freak accident that can't be explained. His recovery was doomed from the get go, not because he doesn't have Jj's motor, but because he's got the Texans' medical staff overseeing the process.
Far as I can tell, he's still the most talented mofo in that draft, he's got the want to to play this game, & he seems highly coachable. Nowhere near the diva he was painted to be. If the Texans clean house in their medical department, Jd Clowney could have a very productive career as a Houston Texans as long as RAC & Vrabel stick around.
