They shouldn't but they will.
Have you heard anything on the nature/severity of Rankins and Woods injuries? I don’t recall them being brought up after the Saints game.Tried to post this yesterday, but it wouldn't go through.

Re. Rankins.............He suffered an MCL in the last game. Keep in mind that Rankins missed ~ a month in 2020 due to an MCL.Have you heard anything on the nature/severity of Rankins and Woods injuries? I don’t recall them being brought up after the Saints game.
Also, do you think Brian Burns was injured in practice this week? Or could this be a case of saving him for the trade deadline?
Looks like a broken ankle. I wish him a speedy recovery. He's been great for us this season. From what I'm hearing, our rookie Center sustained a lower leg fracture and will undergo an MRI today. If it is a fibula fracture, he could be back the end of Dec. If it is a tibia fracture, he is out for the season. Neither situation will allow him any significant contribution in 2023. Our centers seem to have carried an injury target on their backs.

Texans relatively healthy for road gamewww.click2houston.com
The bone broken in his ankle is the the distal lateral maleolus of the fibula bone (the most commonly fractured ankle bone). From what I'm hearing, our rookie Center sustained a lower leg fracture and will undergo an MRI today. I think it's the right call. The chances of making a playoff run is slim, so let the kid heal and get ready for next season. Hopefully Juice returns this week or Deiter can hold down the fort. The bone broken in his ankle is the the distal lateral maleolus of the fibula bone (the most commonly fractured ankle bone).

The team evidently does not feel that there is any merit in bringing him back by the end of the season, because as I mentioned, he is unlikely to be effective by then.
From the way he is progressing, I'd be surprised if we see him before week 11.I think it's the right call. The chances of making a playoff run is slim, so let the kid heal and get ready for next season. Hopefully Juice returns this week or Deiter can hold down the fort.
Would this be before being released from IR, or before being ready to play/activated to the 53.From the way he is progressing, I'd be surprised if we see him before week 11.

Terrible crosswind got ahold of that fragile leg after the kick. What’s going on with Fairbairn. What happened to him anyway?
No way he just misses 1 game. If lucky, he will only miss 3 or 4 weeks.........then increased risk for re-injury the rest of the season.![]()
Texans To Sign K Matt Ammendola
In need of a fill-in at the kicker spot, the Texans are set to make an addition. Houston has agreed …www.profootballrumors.com
Plantar faciitis is not a day-to-day or a week-to-week injury, but sometimes month-to-month or longer. The other thing that complicates this injury is that many times this condition is caused by/associated with hamstring as well as a tight calf and Achilles tightness. Studies have demonstrated that hamstring injuries play a significant role in the presence of plantar fasciitis. Jordan suffered a Grade II hamstring tear on the 4th day of TC this year and essentially missed the entire preseason rehabbbing.Any update on Brevin? I wonder how many regular season games he’s missed so far..
Is that the worst kind or the lesser kind? What I have been able to determine regarding Anderson is that he has suffered a Grade I MCL.
The higher the grade, the worse the injury. Is that the worst kind or the lesser kind?
Any word on Fairbairn?Don't expect to see Collins Sunday. Calf injuries in a WR is usually at least 2-3 weeks and not uncommonly a season long issue.
No change since my Fairbairn post above.Any word on Fairbairn?
