great explanation by Cris Collinsworth that this call favors the offense bc the qb is in a position to make a play as he is leaping out of bounds and how do you expect the defender not to make a play on the qb when he is positioned in a throwing motion trying to beat you!!!!!! I don't like this call he said.

I know, it is absolutely ridiculous - such a freebie play for the QB. The refs did call the penalty as they are being directed to though.
