interesting take, I prefer the traditional leadership style too but modern leaders such as Cj connects with their teammates on a human level. When a leader openly expresses genuine emotion, it builds trust and shows that they care deeply about the people around them. It's not about being a robot lol it's about being a human being who inspires others through authentic connection. The fact that Brady, Manning or others may have reacted differently doesn't make their way the right way. It just makes it their way. Different eras, different leadership styles. Ofc I think Cj will grow as he ages and stop crying, he’s still a young manThat doesn't represent the characteristics of a leader.
Would Brady/Manning/Staubach/Elway/Montana react this way?
Not actually true. CJ is just hyper fixated on.One guy acted differently than the 50 other players on the field that day.
Dang people already trying to get their pseudo CJ is a bust takes in earlier than I expected. Some guys cry & keep getting their butts whooped. That's Cj.
Other guys cry, then go out & whup ass. That's not Cj.
Sht happens & people change. Some change for the better, get stronger. Others stop fighting. I'm waiting to see which way Cj goes. Imo, it's not looking good for Cj.
Just keeping it real. He's the leader of the team, the face of the franchise & the breaking down crying needing to be consoled on national TV thing just doesn't sit right with me.Et tu, TK?
Nobody is saying CJ is a bustDang people already trying to get their pseudo CJ is a bust takes in earlier than I expected.
I for one think CJ is fantastic and he’s exactly what I want in a QB.
Bookmarked the comment for later though. I’ve seen some dudes cry and whoop some asses - like CJ did to finish off that practice.
Quoted for truthIn the grand scheme of things it doesn’t much matter what a bunch of old farts on a message board think of CJ. Do his teammates and opponents respect him? Not sure how anyone here can claim to know one way or another.
Because you're saying this, their will be posters saying you're calling CJ a bustJust keeping it real. He's the leader of the team, the face of the franchise & the breaking down crying needing to be consoled on national TV thing just doesn't sit right with me.
Doesn't feel "swarm," feels more "good riddance we got rid of a top 5 LT because he's soft in the run game."
I see the situation much like you do. Though I have found out from someone in attendance that there was something that could be considered somewhat of a mitigating circumstance.Just keeping it real. I feel for Jordan. Injuries have derailed the goals he obviously set for himself, and his emotions signify more than just the physical pain her was feeling in the moment. Being an empath, I too would have had trouble listening to him in that moment.I see the situation much like you do. Though I have found out from someone in attendance that there was something that could be considered somewhat of a mitigating circumstance.
Immediately following his injury, Jordan did not simply sob or cry..............he was wailing at the top of his lungs for almost 10 minutes.............something that could be unnerving to someone not used to dealing with severe trauma.
I think that a leader should be able to manage his own emotional responses in a time of "crisis." At the same time,
I want to be fair by recognizing that this particular situation could be quite traumatizing to anyone present.
Hey, I may be old, but I'm not a fart.In the grand scheme of things it doesn’t much matter what a bunch of old farts on a message board think of CJ. Do his teammates and opponents respect him? Not sure how anyone here can claim to know one way or another.
There are more ways to show emotions.Boy are twught from an early age that we arent allowed to show emotion.
I did some more thinking about Mixon's situation. Once. you have plantar fasciitis, there is a commonly associated condition that develops......................Achilles tendinopathy. Since I know that the 2nd most common use of shock wave therapy of the foot is for Achilles tendinopathy, I dug a little deeper and found that Mixon's therapy was targeting both the Achilles tendon and the plantar fascia. This is not a very promising start for 2025.Thanks for posting. Even before you posted this, as I've previously commented, I have been very skeptical regarding his long recovery. In my research, I have now discovered what is really going on besides a mild second high ankle [remember, his injury was reported early on this offseason as an "ankle/foot."]. Well, he has been seeing a well-known sports medicine podiatrist in Florida for extracorporeal shock wave therapy (ESWT) which in the foot is almost exclusively used for treating plantar fasciitis. This technique is not typically employed until 3-6 months of other conservative therapies that have not resolved the problem. I am now not surprised at all by his inability to return to the field in the initially proposed timeline.. When he can return and for how long is an open question, especially at his age and history of multiple notoriously chronic lower limb injuries.
