Given the situation they put themselves inBest case scenario given what the team is left with…
Oh, man. What a clown show over there. Glad I dumped my season tickets a year ago.
Goodness gracious!!
So basically hire Lovie now. Then bring in Josh so they can groom him to be the HC 2-3 years down the line. Lol
Goodness gracious!!
They just don't have one ******* clue what they're doing over there.
Looks like this is the case. It's what they wanted from Culley.
Why the sudden change? What has changed in the past few days?
Thinking…
He’s not playing. Not for the Texans. Not for anybody else. That scenario is not happening and I will keep saying it.This giant ass circus just to hire Lovie lol. Whatever I guess.
I still want to hire Flores and have some crazy scenario where Watson suits up and plays week 1, just to see this place implode.
You could do alot worse than hiring a HC that took his team to a SB and a NFCCG.
Read this carefully. He’s not playing. Not for the Texans. Not for anybody else. That scenario is not happening and I will keep saying it.
Who is they?Race shouldn’t matter, but it does to them. The only way the NFL can prove they’re not racist, in a certain group of people’s eyes, is if 100% of the players and coaches are of the same color as them. And that still wouldn’t be the end of it. Next they’ll want all GMs and agents to only be of the same color as them. Then, they’ll only play for franchises whose owners are of the same color as them.
The only way this madness will ever end is if people finally get fed up with theit bullsh*t And stop watching. Then, they’ll have to go out in the real work and get a real f****** job where “racist owners” won’t be paying them millions of dollars to have fun, and instead an actual mid to upper class salary to actually do work, like all normal people.
Lovie isn't my first choice, but Lovie has proven in the right circumstance he can succeed. He needs to have a great OC and staff. His defenses and special teams were always great. His offenses sucked. Do they hire Lovie as HC and promote Pep? Is that strong enough to succeed? I don’t know but it's better than McCown lol.For whatever reason, even if it's for the wrong reason, I hope they hire Lovie. The names being thrown around in here lately I either don't like or aren't familiar with.
Let me rephrase this because it was probably too harsh.Read this carefully.
I don't care what you think.
Dan Quinn, a 1000 times NO! Now, carry on.Imo. That means it's time to open up the interviews again. Plenty of people still out there that are qualified that we haven't talked to.
Bowles in particular, Dennis Allen, Steve Spagnola, Dan Quinn.
Hard for me to believe McCown is the best you could do when you only talked to two qualified candidates

Texans hiring Lovie for HC would be the equivalency of a punt from about their own 40-yard line. Not an ideal scenario but not terrible either.
All of this is totally bizarre
Who in this hiring cycle has a better resume than Lovie?
Lovie will serve his purpose. Culley wasn't willing to play nice.
If McDaniels dad is black, he must be very, very light or even biracial. If the cops pull him over, he's not worried about a thing.
I mean he was 17-37 at Illinois/his last gig. How can you not feel good about him?
I'm not liking Miles as DC. I wouldn't be surprised if they get MayoI would think that Lovie is HC. Pep OC and AHC. McCown QB coach. Miles Smith (Lovie’s son) DC.
How'd Urban Meyer do at the college level?I mean he was 17-37 at Illinois/his last gig. How can you not feel good about him?

Some coaches aren't cut out for college.
Nobody will win big in Champagne.

This tells me McCown was never considered a HC candidate. Neither was Hines Ward. I don't understand why the charade.
The Texans aren't as screwed up as they've been saying. Arrogant maybe, to think they only needed to interview what turned out to be 4 candidates.
Flores... which I think is why Culley got fired. They thought they could get him. If not for the lawsuit he'd be the guy. If they weren't playing around & hired him when he came in for his interview, he might not have filled his suit.
Gannon, the only other guy they thought enough of to be a HC
O'Connell like McCown they think he's a good coach, future HC... Minnesota obviously thought higher of him.
Lombardi I'm guessing they didn't think much of him
Wasn't Lovie available last year?Who in this hiring cycle has a better resume than Lovie?
