I give them a B-, for right now. They had a P5 bias which I think will bite them in the ass.
I don't hate Stingley bc of his injury. Julio Jones injured his in 2013 and had career years after that. Brian Westbrook injured his in 2005 and had two career years after that. It's random examples, but with Stingley essentially not playing hardly at all since 2019 he should be recovered. Catch-22, we drafted a guy who hadn't played since 2019 and suffered a major injury. Why not just draft Sauce? I'm not sure what else he could've put on tape that would've justified taking him there in Nick's eyes. And he shut down the draft's best receiver from the glorified SEC for 1 catch, -2 yards. What makes it worse is defensive mastermind Robert Saleh took him one pick later. However if we just drafted 2019 Stingley this is a home run. His dad is also a massive tool, Lavar Ball-esque, FWIW. A+/F (Depending on injury and productivity)
I like the Kenyon Green pick. Sure it was higher than where ppl thought he'd go but none of that matters if he turns out to be the best guard in the draft, which I think he can be. Being from Humble should also give him added incentive to want to be here, right? B
I really like Pitre, think he's basically Honey Badger, but will we be able to utilize him properly is the question, along with his long term position in the NFL, which I think is SS. B+
I really like Metchie, but he's a reach at where he was drafted. He was really productive at Bama, but not sure how much is going to translate to the pro's. B-
I also like Christian Harris but I'm now convinced after seeing so many outstanding Alabama LB's get drafted well into Day 3 or ultimately flaming out of the league all together that the football God's have put a hex on that position that simply cannot be broken. C+
Pierce I think could be a find. Low-mileage and hard-nosed runner. I like this pick, will he be a three-down starter? Maybe. Likely not. I see him as a Marlon Mack/Zack Moss type. I would've loved to see James Cook since we already have Mack in the building. We need juice offensively and Cook is a homerun threat. B-
The rest? I think Booker could maybe be a rotational pass rushing piece for a couple years. The other two? Well, I see why Nick didn't want to draft late.
