Game 1 Thread: Eagles @ Texans

So it looks like the game is getting out of control, fans are booing, and we're now at each others throats. Is this the end of optimisim on this board. Still have 15 minutes to play.
 
I hate to do this, but I'm getting ready to turn off this game. Our inability to stop Stallworth, stop Westbrook, and protect David Carr is driving me crazy. I guess everyone was right. No matter how good you do in the preseason, it means jack. I see no difference, make that little difference, between this team and last year's team....

I like how you dont listen to posts and what I only ask for is improvement.. Has he improved.. Yes. a bit.. but he is way away where he should be. he still his taking to much time in the backfield. His is doing a better job on his passes, and so far decision making. But he just has to continue making improvement. Then I am happy
 
I'm feeling really depressed right now....we shouldn't have gotten so excited over that 1st drive.......reality is starting to set in :crying:
 
I think it's crazy to be bashing on Carr, who so far has been the Texan's player of the game. The only other guys even close would be Chad Stanley and Demeco Ryans.

Doubtfull but it is definately back to the "same old, same old" from the last couple of years.
 
Maybe Kubs should have followed Philly's scheme instead of Denver...Notice how much time McNabb has had to throw throughout the whole game??? He has all day to look for receivers and still untouched.....
 
I can not get over the D-line, these guys look horrible, one on one of the last play and they were just stood up and couldnt get off the block.

It's that O-Line, they look great. I covet their O-Line.

and yes, I have been listening to posts. I haven't been responding cuz I'm reading the comical Eagles posts on their thread too. I'm sorry I don't fulfill your requirement of 6 posts a minute in order to be considered as "Listening".
 
Personally, I'm inclined to think Philly is better than everyone is giving them credit for. They've always had a fearsome defense, and McNabb's pretty darn good. Their questions have always been about their other offensive weapons, and Stallworth/Westbrook seem to be answering those questions.

Are you new here? You obviously have no clue how much the last losers we had as coaches did there best to ruin this kid. Its a miracle if he comes back to do anything.
 
I don't even care if it's the first game. I still see the same holes.

Carr is still taking sacks and holding on to the ball too long
Mario is to big to slow to burst past the offensive lineman.
Our secondary can't cover anybody and we still can't pressure the quarterback

That's bull. This is a very good experienced team we're playing. The first part of our season is tough and then it gets easy. We're going to win some games.

Rofl... You think that one item is his ONLY needed improvement.. Dumbest statement all day. Dude.. we are at the 5 year mark! I should be seeing improvement.. Wake up dude..
 
I'm with the other poster who said this. I'm feeling really depressed right now. Great play by Lewis Sanders though.
