BADBOY college players to watch 2023 draft

Right. He'll turn 30 this year and has 2 career receptions.

Every team needs practice squaders. And that's what Mason Schreck is.
I'm ok with that if it prevents us from reaching for a guy like Musgrave. TE isn't our biggest need, so I am adamantly against using a premium pick for one that isn't a premium talent.

Michael Mayer, Notre Dame. And he's done it for 3 years.
3 year avg is 700 yards, 6 TDs. Looking at 2022 only, not a pick 12 imo. Players at our picks need to be almost overwhelming stats. Then I compare player to others at need positions like Bijan and it's not even close. I would compare positional needs, skills and stats and Mayer loses to Charbonnet in round three.

I know most disagree with my evaluation.

RB- Sean Tucker, Syracuse, who has amazing speed, ability to cut-n-go, and even his side slides seem to be going forward for yards. Tucker would be the perfect compliment to Pierce or should I add, a true “Thunder and Lightening” backfield.

I was thinking Achane as that lightning compliment, Tucker could be had cheaper for sure at least for now. Achane is track fast, but runs really hard for a track guy. Liked the small samples I have seen of Tucker though

How crazy am I? I'd have no problems dropping a 5th or a 6th on Duece Vaughn out of Kansas St.

I know it's inevitable that the local kids get a bunch of love here, but outside of Bijan I'm not sure there was another RB in the BigXII that could break the game at any moment. Yes, yes; I know he's short but the kid can play, and if you want someone explosive with the football without having to spend a first or second-round pick than I'm not sure there are many if any, better.

For me to want to draft a tight end, he needs to excel at both blocking and catching. I do not see anyone in this draft that overwhelms me.
You haven't been looking hard enough.
  • The best blocking Tight end in this year's class
  • has soft hands and excellent ball skills
  • He effortlessly catches the football away from his frame
  • releases from in-line alignments effectively
  • He has a well-rounded set of tools as a pass catcher
  • Possesses mismatch size and is adept at going up to make contested catches
  • He high points the ball well and has strong hands to control the ball while getting hit
  • has a nose for the end zone and should be an asset in the red zone
  • He has a nice feel as a route runner and knows how to separate

No thanks as I have watched them play. Mayer good but not at 12 and TE not priority.

I would say Washington is the best blocking TE in this draft.

Mayer is worthy of a 1st rd pick.

Yes he’s TE 1, but my thought is that we have other needs that take priority in Rd 1. I’d rather draft one one day 2 or 3.
