2025 Draft Prospects

I watched the Alabama game today while focusing on # 52 Tyler Booker and I’m full in on him being our #1 pick at this point in time. The Texas vs Az game has some OTs that I would like to slide to us and I plan on wtching them tomorrow.
Man if Caserio/Ryans could come out of this draft with Warren and either Milum or Booker that would be a great draft in itself.

Nick isn’t drafting a TE or o-line in the first round. It’s either DT or WR most likely. Can’t rule out a LB or CB but doubtful.

I've looked at the draft over a bit during the holidays. I see this is a trade down draft for Casario. The players available from 20-40 are interchangeable. Get extra picks, even if they are for 2026.
And quite possibly several trades as we need several good players and not one very good player. I was hoping the 2025 draft would be BPA but it did not work out that way.

Any way this Tyler Warren guy falls to us??
I would say likely.
1) There have been 3 TEs drafted in the 1st round over the past 5 years. Despite the success of Kelce, Kittle, and Gronkowski.
2) Warren is an older, 5th year prospect. He had some production in his 3rd and 4th year, but exploded as he became physically mature. There's not a lot of upside left in Warren.
3) Warren is probably not the front runner at TE1. That would be Michigan's Colston Loveland. Loveland is age 20, more athletic, and resembles TE1s like LaPorta and McBride from previous drafts. And I'm not certain Loveland will go in the 1st round.
I haven't seen him above pick 20.
December/January mocks aren't super accurate.

I would prefer Caserio stretching out his draft capital. Take more shots at finding good players. But Nick doesn't like to bring in too many rookies at once. So while I think he could move out of the 1st this draft, he will likely move around the board and come away with no more than 7 or 8 players.

Yes I would like to get two round twos and three round threes in this draft with quality players. I also think in round four we could get a solid running back or back up cornerback. A safety could be had here also as I see Mukuba from Texas mocked there. This could be a highly successful draft.

The Horns may have as many as 12 players taken in the draft in April. The Devils will likely have 1 (Skattebo). The job the ASU coaching staff did this year is phenomenal.
Jahdae barron; Isaiah Bond; Majors; Mukuba could be Texans and I would not complain. We would still need to get a guard but I think that is possible.

I'll take either one of them, Warren or Loveland would be huge upgrades. I haven't gotten a chance to checkout Fannin, but from what I've read he's a stud and I like Helm a lot too. Although I wouldn't expect an outstanding season from Helm. How did JaTavion Sanders do this yr.

Whether Helm has a good or poor rookie season, it has zip to do with Sanders.
I understand this, I was just wondering how he is doing.

Rookie TE'a rarely make a big impact in the passing game. Bowers is an anomaly.

Bowers is an anomaly.
Watching Bowers as an 18 year old freshman, we knew he was special. The other 1st round TEs over the past 5 drafts haven't set the league on fire. Pitts had a good rookie season and has since fell off the map. Kincaid has been meh, averaging less than 40 receiving yards/game. I think that will make teams even more hesitant pulling the trigger drafting a TE in round 1.

I hope you're right on this.

I'm very high on this yrs TE class. There's 4-5 of them that will be long time starters in the NFL IMHO. Hopefully Caserio drafts one of them.

This guy is old school.

"Just a flesh wound." I want the Texans to take Rourke with their 7th rounder. He's got the attitude.

I read a comp somewhere that he’s similar to Davis Mills which I view as a good thing. Mills is a good backup, and Rourke could take his place after 2025 if we decided to draft him.

As much as I love the idea of Warren or Loveland, I don’t know if NC will draft them. I looked at Schultz’s contract and there’d be a decent amount of dead money if we cut him.

I consider a good blocking TE to be as important as adding an IOL or two. Caserio should keep Schultz and draft a TE that can block.

I like him too. Any chance we can get him in the 2nd?

I respect that you're sticking to your philosophy.

I agree that this is most likely a trade down draft, although if Booker was there in the 1st I would pick him in a heartbeat. I've got him as a top 15 player in this draft.

How are you going to acquire all of these picks?
