I like Jackson slightly over Booker, but Booker is a people mover. Tell me what type of offense Caley's going to run and I'll tell you which guy I like the best. They're very close. Both Jackson and Booker are really smart guys, something that was really missing from the OL last yr.
I think we’d have to trade up for him from 58. BUT on the plus side I think we might have other options at 58 if we don’t take a WR in the 1st.2-58?
I could definitely see this happening.Booker will be long gone by 25. Jackson could still be on the board.
I believe Caserio could put pick 25 up for trade in the hopes of gathering a couple of additional picks….if the team has decided Howard is salvageable.
I’m leaning towards Zabel or Jackson for OL in the 1st just because I don’t think Booker will be there. I also would trade up for Membou depending on the cost.Booker will be long gone by 25. Jackson could still be on the board.

No, not as of today. Pre combine he was a late round three and I don't see a good combine moving him up more than a full round. We all get excited when guys are successful especially after Senior Bowl and combine. Then often we see as it gets closer to the draft, they drop.2-58?

Otherwise I would look to see who is on the board at 58 for OL.
Tankathon.com has Booker going at 24 but use any draft mock and tell me which players between 24 and where you think he will go that Booker will knock down.Booker will be long gone by 25. Jackson could still be on the board.

What about Tre Harris? This guy seems to be falling and I cannot determine why. I think this is another thing that I mentioned in the previous post that a good combine throws somebody up above somebody else for no other reason than a fast 40 or High vertical.I think we’d have to trade up for him from 58. BUT on the plus side I think we might have other options at 58 if we don’t take a WR in the 1st.
These are 4 WR that I think could be options at 58:
Jack Bech
Jayden Higgins
Jalen Royals
Elic Ayomanor
I just expect him to be drafted early round 2, so that’s why I didn’t list him. What about Tre Harris? This guy seems to be falling and I cannot determine why. Tre Harris Shows Decent Speed, Solid Explosiveness at 2025 NFL Combine | PlayerProfiler
Tre Harris boasts solid size and speed at the NFL combine that make him one of the top wide receiver prospects in the 2025 NFL Draft.www.playerprofiler.com
After seeing the TE group last yr I would definitely add TE to this list.I really think LG and WR are the most urgent needs. WR is probably #1 and LG #2 based on biggest need. Why? Both Diggs and Dell are probably not here in 2025. Howard could still be on the roster, which means they’ll be lining him up at LG.

Don't put too much stock into RAS, Bucky Irivng had an RAS of 3.71 and seems to be plenty cpaable of playing in the NFLYuck. I hope they stay far away from him if he's there at 25. Pretty sure he will be at this point.
Yes, but Bucky went in the 4th round. Teams are going to go back to the tape on Booker.Don't put too much stock into RAS, Bucky Irivng had an RAS of 3.71 and seems to be plenty cpaable of playing in the NFL
This 7 round mock has Harvey as RB15 and going in the 5th round. So, somewhere on Day 3, depending on what a team is looking for.Any thoughts on RJ Harvey running back from UCF? What rd might he go?

7-Round 2025 NFL Mock Draft With Trades: Raiders Move Up for Shedeur Sanders After NFL Combine, Bears Trade Back
The 2025 NFL Draft order is just about set, making it a perfect time for a seven-round 2025 NFL Mock Draft — with a twist.www.profootballnetwork.com
No thanks to Zabel.I am down to a top three for pick 25. Walter Nolan, Grey Zabel, or Emeka Egbuka.
There are some others I would be happy with as well, including Booker if he falls, but as of now, this comprises my top three choices. I would lean slightly toward Nolan but it’s very close.
No thanks to Zabel.
Level of competitionWhy not?
Can he pass block is the question. Not to mention Caserio hasn't really shown he can draft oline. It's ok, new England couldn't draft wrs. I would rather get a guard in Free agency vs burning another high pick on a guard. Green, Scrggs, and Fisher, 1st rd and 2 2nd rd picks. James Daniels and Will Fries would be my guard solution.I like Jackson slightly over Booker, but Booker is a people mover. Not being ticky tacky, but what does long gone mean? Five spots, 8 or 10?
Ah, the age-old question, do you value the traits more than the tape?Booker disappointed at the Combine. I believe Tankathon's adjusted ranking of Booker must've come after the Combine. Before the Combine, almost every analytic had Booker going in top 15.
Man as you pointed out, the lack of success of Alabama OL in the NFL and Booker's poor athletic testing at the combine has me passing on Booker before the 3rd rd. Jackson has proven to be a great pass protector and is very athletic, a 10 yr starter IMHO. Local guy.Can he pass block is the question. Not to mention Caserio hasn't really shown he can draft oline. Eventually. But a small college guy who has mainly played LT having to take on that responsibility of NFL Center year 1 is too much to ask. That's why I see Zabel as a 2nd rounder. But he has NFL starting talent, that's for certain.I think Zabel will be looked at as a Center in the NFL.
All I'm saying is mauler have a hard time with pass rushers inside. Some can't move their feet inside that box. You know who was a mauler? Kenyon Green.Man as you pointed out, the lack of success of Alabama OL in the NFL and Booker's poor athletic testing at the combine has me passing on Booker before the 3rd rd. I agree with this post, but I really like Jackson and Zabel.Every gm isn't good at drafting every position. In new England, they had trouble drafting wrs early. They tried and failed. Caserio have drafted green, juice, Fisher, and the throw in Patterson. 1st rd, 2 2nd rd, and a 7th. I'd prefer him to just sign or trade for interior ol players. I don't know what he saw in Mason at Tampa and extended him in Houston, but he's gone now. I hope he uses free agency for guards and draft everything else.
I didn’t mind NC trading for Mason, but I did not like that he extended him before we even saw him play in the Texans scheme. It seemed like him got paid and then this year showed up out of shape.Every gm isn't good at drafting every position. In new England, they had trouble drafting wrs early. They tried and failed. I really really like Zabel! But I’m not sure if NC will draft him since he’s not from a power 5 program. I hope I’m wrong.I agree with this post, but I really like Jackson and Zabel.
I know its risky but 2 of my favorite guys in this draft are Zabel and SlaterII really really like Zabel! But I’m not sure if NC will draft him since he’s not from a power 5 program. I hope I’m wrong.
Other guys I like:
Donavan Jackson
Tate Ratledge
Jonah Savaiinaea
Luke Kandra
Intriguing late rounder:
Jackson Slater (he performed decently at the Senior Bowl)
Are we still scouting LG's?Time to start scouting the OTs a bit more heavily
Why not both? Are we still scouting LG's?
I would use a 1st and a 3rd to trade up for banks and a 2nd plus a 3rd to trade up for Jackson, then sign Daniels and be done with the OL. Good luck CJ. When you dont think the team is capable of winning a SB then trading up for as many premium players as possible is what I would do.Why not both?
Thinking Nick has a FA solution to atleast some of the Oline questions, and I'd still go C before LG (in both FA or the draft)
His torn patellar doesn't bother you? Will he even be ready to start the season and how effective will he be?LT- Josh Simmons (Ohio State) at 25

I saw but my question was in regards to spending the first round pick on Simmons. The whole post explains my position better.
