People need to trust in DeMeco, he’s given no indication that you shouldn’t. Has an eye for a player, good coach, good scheme. Trust him until he gives us reason not to.
His signings worked out well by and large last season, the ones that weren’t so great were mostly down to injury.

I am so glad they got rid of Johnston! He punted well, but it is absolutely absurd that, even after a week of practice, he could not kickoff for the team when Fairbairn was injured.

Im not..he was a helluva punter and now that leaves us with no one to punt the ball, or run the ball....these signings still dont do anything to project what we are doing in the Draft...all of these signings have been underwhelming and make no sense considering we were near the top as far as cap space goes. Nothing but short cheap ass contracts and for what?? Not only that but they let greenard, cashman, motor, and johnson walk...this is ABSURD

I confess to getting a little nervous about the RB position...However, signing top $ free agents are not the way to build a championship squad. Remember, also, unused cap space gets rolled forward. There are so many variables during free agency. For instance, the Texans are likely looking at 2025 draft pick compensation... Based on what has happened just today (before considering who the texans have signed), the loss of Greenard will become a 3rd or 4th round compensatory pick. Cashman = 5th, Johnston =6th or 7th, Singletary = 5th probably. Players who were cut and become free agents don't count towards the compensation algorithm. So, also pay attention to which free agents the texans sign who were cut by previous team.
