With pick #153 the Rams select Devonta Freeman - RB - Florida St. - ACC.
Pretty good.
Here's the Titans so far:
Justin Gilbert, CB
Tre Mason, RB
A.J. McCarron, QB
Michael Sam - OLB/DE
But. The onslaught that is the Jaguar's Draft has just begun. These guys have a zillion picks this year.
Jadeveon Clowney, DE/OLB
David Yankey, OG
Jimmy Garoppolo, QB
Terrance West, RB
Victor Hampton, CB
Ego Ferguson, DT
And they've got a ton more picks on the way.
I hate the Jags.
Just IMHO, doesn't make it right or make it so. Quessenberry was a 6th RD pick vs Newton a 7th RD pick. QBerry hasn't played a down and QBerry and Newton Combine #s almost mirror each other. IMHO that's a big jump/assumption for QBerry.
There is absolutely no evidence to suggest that QBerry is anything more than any other late rd OL drafted by Smubiak. If you're using history as a judge then you should expect disappointment. It is very possible that QBerry is not as good as Newton.
BTW Reid in the 5th is a GREAT pick!
35(99) Jeremy Hill - RB - LSU
Not bad, not bad. Ebron, Mewhort, Martin should be starters. Hill will probably get a good amount of snaps (more depending on how Ray Rice's situation develops). Dixon will get solid playing time, possibly even start. Davis should see snaps and will have an expanded role in the future.
What happened to us yall? We were going so strong. I really thought we could hammer this out. I'm very inactive on the weekends so I'll try to stay caught up, but I was really hoping to throw down a couple picks before I left work for the weekend.
Steelb is on vacation, as he was for his last couple picks. I don't think he will mind if we do group pick for his next 2.
I think Andre Williams- RB - Boston College
would be an excellent choice. He's a lot like Carlos Hyde in build, and had a really good year at BC. He's also much different from Forte, which would add some versatility.
Pick thread is updated.
Bears draft so far:
Ha Ha Clinton Dix - FS - Alabama
Scott Crichton - DE - Oregon State
*Jaylen Watkins - CB - Florida
Dominique Easley - DT - Florida
Proxy pick for The Pencil Neck via PM.
The Jacksonville Jaguars select...
Marqueston Huff - FS - Wyoming - MWC
This guy is surprisingly athletic. He was a corner for most of his time in college but then shifted to FS last year and got 127 tackles.
For someone like Gus Bradley, this guy is a nice tweener kind of player who could be employed in a few different ways. And... just a point but... Alan Ball is a starting Corner right now. With Huff and Victor Hampton (earlier), they hope to have upgraded their DBs. And with Clowney, they've upgraded their pass rush.
Jags Draft so far:
1. Jadeveon Clowney, DE/OLB
2. David Yankey, OG
3. Jimmy Garoppolo, QB
4. Terrance West, RB
5. Victor Hampton, CB
6. Ego Ferguson, DT
7. Marqueston Huff, FS
Proxy pick for Thetexanator via PM.
The Dallas Cowboys select...
Max Bullough - ILB - Michigan State - Big Ten
Interesting... I really like the guy. I know he played under Romeo at the Shrine game. I wanted him to be a Texan... with that said I had him lined up with my compensatory 6th round pick (211).
What do you think of him being drafted right here and the pick?
I really like Huff as a FS. Saw him at CB at the Senior Bowl and was disappointed, but really like him at FS. I like Hampton as a slot CB. Ferguson gives them some depth in the middle where they are loaded with JAG's. The Clowney pick is a given and he has a nice compliment and mentor in Chris Clemons. West was a great pick and Yankey would compete for a starting OG spot. Garoppolo in the 3rd round was one of the better picks so far in this mock.
You left off Zumwalt who, as a 5th round pick, would have a chance to start at SLB. Great pick there.
The Chicago Bears select..
Andre Williams - RB - Boston College - ACC
The Bears have requested to change their proxy pick. Dutch and I don't have a problem with it seeing as how no team behind Chicago attempted to address RB. The pick will be changed from Andre Williams to
Walt Aikens - CB - Liberty - FCS
If anyone has an issue with the change just PM me and let me know.
I'm fine with the change, but I also didn't pick for any team after.

Well, of the 4 teams that drafted behind him, 3 had already taken RB's so I seriously doubt they were a threat to select another. That's why I had no problem switching the pick.
Jacksonville is quietly having a really good draft so far.
Thanks guys, sorry I missed the pick.
Aikens is a rangy CB who has good speed and long arms.
He's a great value at this point in the draft and is in keeping with my philosophy of picking talented but troubled players late in the draft. I kind of hope the Texans pick Aikens.
Aikens got kicked off of the Illinois team for theft but seems to have found redemption at the school of Jeery Falwell. Good Christian values the school represents about giving sinners 2nd chances. Hopefully the Texans will do the same. Of course you teand to get 2nd chances when you're a big physical CB that can run like the wind.
I am actually very happy with the speed/non-confrontation with draft has been run with. Has to be one of the smoothest ever.
That being said I'm 100% fine with this. And good pick.
I guess I'm the 4th and I don't care.

Jacksonville might just quietly move to become the 2nd best team in the AFCS if they play their cards right. I think Gus Bradley is the man to do it for them.
