Something I just heard from a person who has very close connections with the Texans, players, coaches and staff.

Texans will have 3 PRIME TIME games!! 2 Monday nights and one Thursday night game. And before you think the Thursday night game is Thanksgiving, your wrong! From the information I heard, when the Presidents from UT and A&M heard rumors of the Texans playing Thanksgiving night they made calls stating they preferred that the Texans didn't play the late game due to them moving their game to a night game this year.

Also one of the Monday night games is out of town ofcourse but against the Colts. Thats all the info I could get from my friend since he just found out the info right before he was to walk into a meeting.

Looks plausible but you have us playing the Titans twice in Reliant.

How the hell could University teams take priority over the NFL!

I won't hold my breath on that being the real schedule. Why Baltimore would be a MNF game over one of our division rivals doesn't seem right to me.

Yeah and a Thursday night game against Philly? i mean i am not complaining, 3 primetime games is alot, but you would think some better games would have been chosen.

I hate to say it though, but this is looking more true as time goes on.

But if it is, how the hell did Cowboys-Texans not make primetime?

Redskins schedule out..Corresponds with the Texans one.

the Redskins play eight games before the bye week: Dallas at home, Houston at home, at St. Louis, at Philadelphia, Green Bay at home, Indianapolis at home, at Chicago, at Detroit.
After the bye, they play the Eagles at home, at Tennessee, Minnesota at home, at the Giants, Tampa Bay at home, at the Cowboys, at Jacksonville, and then conclude the season against the Giants at FedEx Field.

anyone notice that we basically get 2 bye weeks?

11-28 followed by a quick turn around on thursday 12-2 and then we have a week off until 12-13

This guy is hitting so far... besides the 9 home games. Crown the man!!

I wonder why Balty for MNF; there's no background between the two teams.

December 2 in the cold at Philly.

The Eagles are the only team the Oilers or Texans have never beaten. Might as well get that monkey off our backs.

if it's true then I'm extremely happy! It's a tough run with the tough teams and quick turnarounds but I'll take two bye weeks any season!!!!

edit: and yes, I realize that I quoted myself.

calm down people only like 35 more mins then it will be offical then we can see a thousand W-L threads LOL

There is two tenn HOME games, so one is wrong.

already duly noted.

Most likely the second one is away; I don't think there's ever been 4 road games in a road before.

IIRC, when Hurricane Ike struck Houston a couple of years ago and damaged Reliant Stadium, we were forced to play 3 road games to start off the season. I think that was the first time a team ever played more then 2 road games in a road.

1560 am just confirmed the schedule. All noon home games except the MNF and TNF. The 12/19 game is a road game going to Tenn. The Texans have 2 3pm road games and it Washington and Oakland.

BTW,

credit goes to HorryUpandBuy, a member from Clutchfans who broke the news on their MB.

Said his friend has been right the lsat three season.. he's on the right road so far for this season.

So does this mean the Texans are going to be on NFL network against Philly since they usually show Thursday night games later in the season?

The Texans took steps forward with their first winning season in 2009. A few close losses were the difference between the playoffs and an early vacation, but continued progress could bridge that gap in 2010. However, the Texans play the league's toughest, based on last year's results.

Nationally it's just not a rivalry game. Honestly I haven't understood why both teams haven't tried to play yearly and make it into one.

This guy is hitting so far... besides the 9 home games. Crown the man!!

I wonder why Balty for MNF; there's no background between the two teams.

Two teams that should be making a playoff push. Should be enough drama in that alone.

First six games don't look too bad for us finally getting out to a good start. Tough opening with the defending AFC champs , but at least it's in Houston. The Washington game just......feels like a trap game. I think they've done a good job this offseason getting better. Possible to go 4-2.

What I think is good is the timing of the bye week. Hopefully, Kubiak and Co. will have the team ready to make a push at that point. they're going to have to be ready for a brutal finish.
