Draft Tracker 2025

I did want CB depth so I’m good with it. I’m not sure we needed to trade up, but I’m not opposed to that if he is their guy. Not a sexy pick,,,until one of our guys goes down. Then it will get sexy in a hurry. Finally got some decent depth at corner. We lived far too dangerously last year. Suddenly the corner room looks a lot better.

Jaylin Smith CB USC! I mocked him round 7… clearly I was a tad late. But here was my writeup:

Former teammate of Calen Bullock. Has played safety, nickel and outside CB. Also experience as a ST gunner. Physical in run support which is a prerequisite to play in DeMeco’s secondary. Add him to the competition and lets see if he can carve out a role.
You had him higher than I as I said UDFA

I don’t question DeMeco on defensive picks. Yes I didn’t have him this high either. Y’all didn’t think Lassiter the locksmith was worth 42 last year either right?

But last time I looked, DeMeco knows a bit more about how he envisions a guy fitting in then we do. If he sees a vision for this guy…I’m all in. Ryan’s has earned that right. I expect this pick will hit at least to what is expected of a 3rd/4th, and will provide depth at a position where depth was sorely needed.

Isn’t it great to have trust that the coach and GM know what they’re doing?!

Well….no picks until RD6 (3) and RD7 (2). This draft has pushed a lot of players further back than their projected rounds. There’ll be plenty of talent to pick from, even after 76 are taken off the board.

Nick Caserio may not draft another OL in this draft. RB and TE could be his top priority tomorrow.

Yep. Blake Fisher was a head-scratcher pick too until we needed him.

WOW!! I'll admit I didn't watch lot, if any, CU football but is the tape on Sanders that bad?
I don't think it's the tape that's causing him to drop, I think it's his last name. This is a case where being a "nepo-kid" back fires. Teams feel the juice isn't worth the squeeze with the potential extra baggage (his father). I'm sure he'll go in the 4th, but the drop is HUGE.. He'll likely just be a backup now.

that's not the point.

Well it is for me. I wanted Sting insurance this guy looks like Pitre insurance.

But everyone else is saying this guy was near UDFA status. I don't think Nick & his team is that far off so I think the talking heads are wrong.

If you think that David Carr's father was a distracting tool, multiply by 100 what the team that picks Shadeur will be dealing with. From what I've been told, on his team visits, he would arrogantly grill teams on their shortcomings...........like "Why haven't you won a championship in the last 10 years?" or "Why haven't you had success with QBs in the last few years?" :toropalm:
