You come here and decide to chastise someone who has been here with legitimate sources because someone said something mean about Stroud. I’m sure you acted the same way about Watson. It’s ridiculous. Stroud had negative things said about him in college even aside for Lance. One great season doesn’t define a career. We aren’t going to go through this again with a petulant QB.

Leaders typically breakdown in tears in front of their employees when bad things happen. Leaders try to raise people up, they dont need to be raised up by others like Mixon had to do with CJ for him to be able to finish the game.

Football is a violent sport. As the QB, you are also paid to not let injuries affect or shake you for the rest of the game. Because if that shakes you, what else will?

I agree Cj is not the problem. I also believe he did not respect Slowik.

I think when asked on his exit interview, he mentioned a lot of things on the offense need to be fixed pointing to but not saying Slowik is a problem.

I believe many players, both sides of the ball, said similar things, pointing to the same place, but also not blatantly referring to Slowick.

I think DeMeco thought it over, considered going forward with Slowik & going forward without Slowik. I believe he wanted to go with Slowik in his heart of hearts, but came to the conclusion the right thing to do is to move forward without Slowik.

He brought the issue to Cal, told them he will swing the sword himself... but if TexansTalk asks, could he get Hanah to drop an obscure tweet.

Nonsensical b.s. anyone with any knowledge of how the NFL and owners have operated over the last 20 years knows that if it’s between the franchise qb and a coach, the coach is most likely gone…that is if the player doesn’t decide to leave 1st.

I’ve no doubt the pre-draft incident happened, but how and what each party thought & felt after that..& all the extraneous crap about what this person needs to do or what was gonna happen in the future is all speculative and not fact.

It might be linked in your head and others here that crying somehow has something to do with weakness …or winning..,lol. reality is it has nothing to do with either. Crying is a very natural response to a lot of emotions and motivations. I know a dude who wells up & looks like he’s about to cry and shed a tear here or there b/c he’s so damn angry with something & can’t let it out safely except through tears. If it came out right then and there in any other way, dude might quite literally hurt someone badly.

Wanna tell him he’s a weakling or soft in that moment? You might get ***** slapped and a cracked orbital bone..

No, I'm exactly the same way. I don't have a problem with that, but when they cry & basically come out in the fetal position, I'll tell him to his face all day long. I wish he would....

Yes that type of person can win a Super Bowl. Wow all because a young man was emotional about a person he views as a brother. Now he’s not capable of winning a Super Bowl. So I guess it’s not a team sport either!

That's why I said I hope the next OC is able to work with CJ. (CJ doesn't have a good track record of working with OC's.) Because Ryans will most likely be losing his job if this OC hire doesn't work out in 2-3 yrs)

If CnD said he got his info from the FO you can take it to the bank.

2 totally different situations between the NA and a player tearing his ACL/MCL/PCL.

Brady/Manning got in teammates faces. Stroud sat on the bench, sulked until the defense got a turnover and many times still sulked.

Have you ever seen a GOAT QB cry on the field under the circumstance Dell/CJ were in? I haven't but I'm looking forward to seeing Pics of Staubach/Bradshaw/Stabler/Marino/Fouts/Montana/Elway/Mahomes/LJ/Allen crying like a baby and having to have another teammate calm them down so they could continue to play in a game, because I haven't.

Stroud didn’t want to play that game anymore. That was evident.
 
I tried to stay out of this, but I don't understand the crying thing...Is it just because he was standing on the field during a football game?
Would it have been ok it it were a motorcycle accident and they were on the side of the hwy?

I've seen guys cry on the football field for all types of things...Losing, Winning, Injury to teammates...Injuries to themselves...

Sports at high levels is played with a lot of emotion because so much goes into it.

Don't forget about the last word in "Blood, Sweat and TEARS"

Edit: I said sports at high levels, but really it's any level. It's ok to cry in life, including on the field.

Who says we have a GOAT QB? We have a 23 year old QB in his 2nd year. Whether he will be the GOAT, we'll see. I posted a bunch of videos of players crying. No 2 circumstances are the same. If you're too macho to not allow a man to cry under any circumstances, that's on you and your upbringing...

The issue here is it is being presented by a few contrarian posters that CJ is the only one here who needs to grow..or “grow up” b/c he’s the younger of the 2 parties…and b/c of personal bias and other crap that really have nothing to do with nothing. 1st of all, duh, he’s a 23 year old kid and that goes without saying. 2nd of all, Slowik was a newly minted OC as well. He has/had to grow too.

I mean, let’s be real, he was catching heat last year for some of the same things that likely went into his not so good evaluation this year. It’s not like he had this history or was this offensive qb whisperer who just needed CJ to shut up and listen to him and he would make him great. No, his ass was getting OJT as a OC coach too. He needed/needs to grow too and as we saw this year he didn’t. & if he has any designs on becoming a HC 1 day, he’ll needed to do that.
