According to the Houston Texans themselves, Cal attends meetings, as well. I have found pictures of him at NFL owners meetings. I have not seen one of Janice attending, but she might be shy about pictures.

I found two sources that said she represented the Texans at NFL functions including owners meetings, but both sources could be coming from something McClain wrote back in 2019
Following her husband's death in 2018, McNair became the team's principal owner, with the title of "senior chair".[1] Her son Cal is the current CEO and day-to-day head of the franchise.[4] However, Janice represents the Texans at NFL owners meetings and other league functions.[3]

Yep. I would assume both Janice and Cal are representing the franchise at owners meetings. Cal is obviously a little more involved being on a couple of NFL committees. But, Janice is 86 years old so I doubt she wants to spend much time in meetings and dealing with NFL red tape. lol
 
Heard LZ tell a great story today about this degenerate today. Goes like this:

Brandon Cooks told Jack Easterby that Lovie's staff was working the receivers too hard.

Easterby had a conversation about this with Lovie. "The receivers are telling me that you're working them too hard."

Lovie went and had a conversation with Cal (probably Hannah.) Something to the effect of "he's trying to mess with football operations. I was told he wouldn't try to interfere with my job."

Then Cal (probably Hannah) had a conversation with Jack. Something to the effect of "We told you not to interfere with football again. Hit the bricks."

Then Brandon asked for a trade.

Gaine got a raw deal. Didn’t follow OB’s outrageous demands (which we saw come to fruition in the form of ridiculous trades/contracts after Gaine was fired).

Texans would not have become the dumpster fire it did if Gaine had remained GM. They may have been Jeff Fisher 7-9 to 9-7 purgatory but not the complete flop we have seen since the Chiefs playoff game.

This is the Texans that Cal McNair has made. O’Brien and Easterby hated Gaine. That is why they fired him the day after Easterby returned from Boston after spending an evening talking to Nick Caserio about becoming the Texans next GM.

The plan was already in motion by that time. Gaine had already fired the people Easterby wanted him to.

Easterby went there knowing Caserio was interested. It was for show so Easterby to say “look what I delivered Cal.”

Hell - Easterby probably wanted the tampering charges so that him and OB could have power.


The telling part is how Easterby fell out of favor and Hannah was assuming power. Lovie got Easterby fired. Only because Hannah had the balls to do it.

Funny to think how choices and actions have consequences. I can't help but think how much Easterby and Cooks would have loved Stroud's faith. Not that I would want those two anywhere near my quarterback, but Stroud is the epitome of the Easterby/Cooks mantra of Faith, Family, Football.

Look, I don't pay a lot of attention to stuff like this. But you can't help seeing the
genuineness of CJ vs. the salesmanship of Easterby. Good for Stroud. But if Stroud didn't play QB at an All World level, I wouldn't pay much attention to what he was saying. Just being honest.

People may not want to admit it but Easterby telling Caserio “You can’t believe the **** I am getting away with. You got to come here. Name your price and it’s yours. It is that easy” was one of the best things to happen to this franchise.

The failures of OB, Watson, and Easterby, all directly led to the Caserio, Demeco, and Stroud dream team.

I don't think those other two are actually as "devout" as they like to act like they are. There's some that tend to talk about how devout they are rather than actually be that and I think Easterby and Cooks fall into that bracket.

I think you are right, but I also think that folks that fall into that category flock to people like Stroud because it makes them appear to be more righteous and it builds on the persona that they are trying to show the world.

I try to not judge others faith.

I do get a feel for people by who they hangout with.

This is why I didn't have an issue with bringing in Diggs/Mixon. They've had issues but tend to be leaders that dont have a bunch of hanger ons.
