Agree with everything said yet, I wonder if the head injury late 2021 shell shocked Mims? The hip injury plus finger probably didn’t reassure him or Jets coaches. I would work him out.
 
The Browns have placed WR Marquise Goodwin on the NFI list. He reported soreness of his legs during OTAs and was worked up medically. He was found to have blood clots in his legs. The team is reporting that he will miss the beginning of TC. He had also been experiencing shortness of breath. This tells me that he has been flipping these clots to his lungs (pulmonary emboli). With this type of presentation, he will have been placed on blood thinners for at least 3-6 months. You don't play football while on blood thinners because of risk of serious bleeding secondary to traumatic contact. He will not only be missing the beginning of TC.

Giants sign new running back to replace Saquon Barkley


The Giants have signed running back James Robinson. The 24-year-old entered the league with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2020, rushing for 1,070 yards in 240 attempts and scoring seven touchdowns.
Robinson was signed earlier this year by the New England Patriots, but they waived him three months later. According to reports, injuries were the main reason why the AFC East team moved on from him. However, now he has a second chance to prove he’s healthy enough to lead the Giants’ offense.

Definitely a head scratcher...there has got to be something missing. Maybe they have agreed to trade him before the deadline for whatever they can get? It's hard to believe he gave up his leverage for $900K in incentives that will be hard to reach.

I've seen that too but it's normally in writing. I guess more to come but most articles are saying the Giants kept the option to tag him again. It looks like he got a $2M payment upfront vs waiting for the regular season to begin. Maybe that's why he did it?

Although the guaranteed pay on Barkley’s deal is the same as the $10.1 million he would have made by signing the tender, the Giants agreed to add $900,000 in incentives so that Barkley can earn up to $11 million, and to pay $2 million up front now, rather than make Barkley wait until the regular season starts to begin earning his salary.

After this season, the Giants can either franchise tag Barkley again, sign him to a long-term contract, or let him test free agency.
