Slowik's first couple years with SF he was defense.nope..& he didn’t “work closely” with him…Slowik was offense, Meco was defense.
Lol, but I don’t think Janet would ever want CJ specifically given his agent, the entire Watson debacle, and the supposed argument with Slowick Especially if, as some believe, she’s just in it for the money. Those are three strikes that I’m sure she would understand along with her reported sidekick gold digger. I believe it’s the Texans that wanted CJ if Bryce was gone all along. Those were the only two. I believe Demeco was on the CJ bandwagon also. From his first day as HC he said we only have one QB, never mentioned Mills by name, and we need to get more in the room. And again, Slowick raves about CJ’s team oriented approach to his Job.This is how I now picture Janice

Was Meco there already?Slowik's first couple years with SF he was defense.
They both arrived the same yearWas Meco there already?
2 totally different things were talking about. No excuses
Even if it were fan driven, seems like most "fans" would have taken Young just as well.Lol, but I don’t think Janet would ever want CJ specifically

My point is that neither Janice nor Hannah were involved in this process. we don’t know if the Texans preferred Bryce over CJ. It does look like for weeks in advance there was credible evidence the Panthers were going to draft Bryce. NC said early on he was comfortable taking either one. I don’t believe Anderson was a draft day decision. This thing looked scripted.Even if it were fan driven, seems like most "fans" would have taken Young just as well.
They wanted Anderson from the startI don’t believe Anderson was a draft day decision.
That’s what I said in effect Or at least meant. I don’t believe the Texans waited until draft day to plan to draft both players. It looked scripted from before the draft. From the pick of CJ in the first minute of being on the clock to arranging the trade for Anderson seems that they were following a plan. Taking CJ with their first pick I believe took out competition for that third pick. If you wanted both players how would you script it?They wanted Anderson from the start
I’m with you. I agree. My point is that neither Janice nor Hannah were involved in this process.

Not according to CnD/Corrosion etc... I guess as a fan it's easier for fans to bury their heads in the sand, even after seeing the same old crap for 2 decades and counting. After everything that's happened over the last 2 decades I find it impossible for a fan to not even entertain what CnD/Corrosion is telling you is in fact the truth.
I 100% believe they were told what they reported. But why should I believe in sources I don't know? That have gotten things wrong in the past? Saying things that don't really add up. As far as I remember, their sources have never predicted the coaching hire before the fact. They didn't predict the trade up. Getting something right would go a long way in convincing that their sources know what's going on.After everything that's happened over the last 2 decades I find it impossible for a fan to not even entertain what CnD/Corrosion is telling you is in fact the truth.
And I CAN believe you depend on other people to think for you. They have their opinions, I have mine. I have entertained their opinions and appreciate and accept most of them. Ever wonder if sometimes their sources perhaps have”agendas”. Doesnt really matter to me. in the end reading your existential meltdowns over owners, players, agents, your knowledge of who is stupid, what schools are trash, who are perverts, liars, Nigerian doctors, and other folks that don’t meet your high standards do make reading this board fun to see how they are occupying your time and mind. Not according to CnD/Corrosion etc... They aren't trying to change anyone's opinion. They are just providing information, do with it what you willIn the end, it makes Zero difference to the franchise what we choose to believe other than some folks such as yourself not investing any more money, or others such as I who no longer watches them live on TV. It makes for good discussion otherwise, but there is very little anyone can do to change opinions without being presented facts.
Those sources said, “ no way the Texans were going to draft Stroud. They also had him behind Richardson. They also said Levis will be drafted by the Texans.I 100% believe they were told what they reported. But why should I believe in sources I don't know? That have gotten things wrong in the past? One cannot just believe things we are told online. Look what COVID did to the masses of the world simply because the majority chose to believe what the "experts" sold them, and I KNOW you agree with me on that one.
I don't recall those two saying anything of the sort. Can you provide a quote? Those sources said, “ no way the Texans were going to draft Stroud. They also had him behind Richardson. They also said Levis will be drafted by the Texans.
But as soon as they were wrong, then they conjured up this BS. And in typical fashion those select few runs with it like it’s factual.
As a person, no. As a poster I believe you have left quite a trail of distinct knowable traits. And I do comprehend that after hours of prayer to do the right thing is honorable and good, but I guess I’ll just never comprehend the god that leads one to call people gold diggers or money grabbers or many other things afterwards. That’s gods job….in my opinionLMAO, I let other do my thinking for me? SMDH, I'm fortunate enough to have been able to meet some great people in life and I do listen to them and makeup my own mind on what the correct actions appear to be. This usually comes after hours of prayer on the really important things. Something I seriously doubt you will ever be able to comprehend. Look at my posts yesterday as an example, I misunderstood a post by TK and apologized to him for my response. In all of these yrs I've never seen you admit you have ever been wrong about anything. This is a character flaw that many people struggle to overcome. One of the 7 original sins. Pride
You dont know me at all.
Bury your head in the sand if you wish.
If you go back over the years you will realize they don't post things like this without having multiple sources and they have a great track record.Speaking from the heart for a minute, most of us are ARE entertaining what they say might be true. I am, and I am sure others here are as well. They are two very knowledgeable posters on this board and their opinions have value and merit.
That said, without proof, what they say is only conjecture at this time. One cannot just believe things we are told online. Look what COVID did to the masses of the world simply because the majority chose to believe what the "experts" sold them, and I KNOW you agree with me on that one.
I am not saying they are incorrect, but as far as I am concerned, their accounts are only one of a handful of possible occurrences that I think brought this team to where it is today. Could be true, could be false, most likely somewhere in between.

They never said that the Texans were drafting Levis or Richardson. Stop making stuff up. They said they weren't going to draft a QB at 1-2. Who knew Hannah would go to Janice. Those sources said, “ no way the Texans were going to draft Stroud. They also had him behind Richardson. They also said Levis will be drafted by the Texans.
But as soon as they were wrong, then they conjured up this BS. And in typical fashion those select few runs with it like it’s factual.
Hey brother they’re lying while these sources are truthful. They specifically talked to Janice and Hannah. LolSo Janice and Hannah make this first pick of RD1....and finally Caserio and Ryans take over the controls. I'm not going to buy this nonsense b/c Caserio's livelihood depends on "him" getting these picks and rebuild correct. As for Ryans, he didn't have to settle on the Texans. I'm sure he had a very good list suitors, so if he's coming and Janice/Hannah inform him that they'll be making the first pick of the draft....Ryans would probably say, well duck that, find yourself another HC b/c I can see nothing has changed here.
Go back and watch the interviews Caserio/Ryans gave regarding their draft strategy. There's no hesitation or eyes moving around to avoid direct contact as to how they pulled this draft off.....the body language didn't indicate they were just executing Janice/Hannah's plan all along. These guys were running the show.
Look at the press conference and then way they hugged and showed love for Anderson vs how they acted towards Stroud. There's a podcast out there that points out the differences. So Janice and Hannah make this first pick of RD1....and finally Caserio and Ryans take over the controls. I think it's only fair that if one member of this board claims that another member(s) of this board wrote something here they should follow up that claim with receipts. Lucky demonstrated how to do this is another thread - he provided multiple quotes.I don't recall those two saying anything of the sort. Can you provide a quote?
You’re lumping CnnD with the media “sources” & yeah, in that context you’re going to view it with a bit of shade that isn’t warranted. Those sources said, “ no way the Texans were going to draft Stroud. They also had him behind Richardson. They also said Levis will be drafted by the Texans.
Speaking from the heart for a minute, most of us are ARE entertaining what they say might be true. I am, and I am sure others here are as well
No I’m not, I remember exactly what was posted on here by them. They were dead wrong and instead of owning up to it. Now they’re saying there source is saying something completely different. You’re lumping CnnD with the media “sources” & yeah, in that context you’re going to view it with a bit of shade that isn’t warranted.
I believe it is true, someone told them what they told us. They’re respected members here, proven to be nothing but honorable.
At the same time I do not know the people who told them. I have no idea how objective they are. Someone told CnnD, Corrosion, & steelBtexans something. But do those people have agendas?
I’m confident CnnD & Corrosion are objective. I don’t believe they are trying to manipulate my emotions, just sharing information.
I haven't known them to ever weigh in on draft picks before. The Anderson story is right there with the Stroud story, they promised Ryans the pick, just like they promised Lovie the yr before. Since Hannah and her marketing machine wanted and got Stroud, Caserio had to trade up to get Anderson who is the guy Ryans wanted at 1-2.For the record, guys like John McClain and John Lopez claim to have inside sources as well..& we all know what folks on here think about what they have to say when they divulge information from their sources about the inner workings of the Texans FO.
Bottom line for me is, I respect both posters in thst they probably are telling the truth as they heard it from their sources…but in my experience the info revealed by them largely has been hit or miss. Sone things turn out to be prophetic, while other stuff turns out to be bunk. Both have revealed info at times from the last 3 coaching searches that turned out to be dead wrong. & I can’t recall anything that they’ve revealed about draft stuff that turned out to be right BEFORE the pick actually happened...in which case its easy to conjure up a story based on what happened..NOT SAYING THEY OR THEIR SOURCES ARE…but i guess for me, the info would have more weight if it came before the actual event, not the other way around & Info we get is usually after the fact. This scenario is no different. Texans draft Stroud, and weeks later we get a back story on it…which wasn’t even the story of the draft..the move up to get Anderson was….but we don’t get anything about how that went down.
Care to provide any qoutes where they crapped on that QB. You may be mixing them up with me in your memory. I certainly have said many times that I dont like the person or the player, so maybe that's where the confusion is coming from?No I’m not, I remember exactly what was posted on here by them. They were dead wrong and instead of owning up to it. Now they’re saying there source is saying something completely different.
Not only that they did this before and at that time, neither one of them like that particular quarterback. So every chance they got, they would crap on that particular quarterback.
New NFL & all, I get that. But I’m old school. Coaches coach, GMs acquire talent. I would see any promise of a draft pick as a bonus, a gift. Not something a coach should expect.so if he's coming and Janice/Hannah inform him that they'll be making the first pick of the draft....Ryans would probably say, well duck that, find yourself another HC b/c I can see nothing has changed here
The majority of us on here are old school. This new era of sports are totally different.New NFL & all, I get that. But I’m old school. Coaches coach, GMs acquire talent. I would see any promise of a draft pick as a bonus, a gift. Not something a coach should expect.
Corrosion hasn't posted much recently and CNND posts are easy to find. Not really. All that was revealed was that Meco was promised a 1st round pick being used on his "preferred" defensive guy...The Texans had 2...which is why the back story is less intriguing. Which was Meco promised? Past history across the league will pretty much tell you the new incoming HC wants "his" preferred guy............which usually aligns with the side of the ball said HC is most familar with..that's not exclusive info revealed there.
Also nothing in the back story revealed here give details as to how NC had something in the works beforehand for a possible trade up.......which was the story of the draft. So sure it's believeable that Meco "preferred" Anderson....& that he was promised a 1st round pick being used on a top defensive prospect, but that's basic stuff man. Says nothing about a move up to get specifically him...or how the FO/Meco maybe felt about other prospects if he couldn't get Anderson....like Carter who by many draftniks was thought to possibly be the best defensive prospect over Anderson & was most likely going to be available outside of the top 5. Also it say NOTHING about where NC was in all this. Surely he had to be privy to all of this considering HE is the guy who has to orchestrate all these supposed orders, promises and demands on draft day. We got nothing on any of that.
Which is another reason why the "back story" revealed here is less intriguing to me. For 1, the Texans had 2 1sts & had needs at both positions. #2, the inside info kinda leads you to believe that Janice/Hannah...... whoever, told Cal/NC & their new HC in Meco that Stroud was gonna be the pick no matter what...I just find that too hard to believe. I can see her maybe saying a qb must be taken with 1 of the 2 1sts......I can even see Hannah sort of backing Janice on that with "fan committee" data......It follows the board room culture the Texans have always used. What i can't see her saying is "the #2 pick must be a qb/Stroud if he's there"....I just think she & Hannah have more respect for the job NC has to do than that & wouldn't hamstring him like that by effectively locking him into taking a player there & not allowing him to field offers if a good one became available.
I can see it, the Texans org has always been a marketing firm with a football division. Nothing has changed but the people running the show. Janice/Hanna and they're going to get what they want over the objections of the football people. It's always been this way down on Kirby, heck, Hannah is even doing shows on 610 now days.

For the record, I don't know Corrosion, I've never talked to him but I have talked to CNND. He took time out of his busy schedule to talk to me about what to expect when my best friend was dying of cancer. I think I know his character well enough to know he's not just pulling stuff out of thin air to attack CJ Stroud. I don't think he'd do that to anyone. Additionally, he has talked to me on the phone about activities behind the scenes in the Texans organization that have turned out to be true. So for me, what he writes on this board carries a lot of weight.
In the end, does it even matter who had what input on drafting Stroud?
New NFL & all, I get that. But I’m old school. Coaches coach, GMs acquire talent. I would see any promise of a draft pick as a bonus, a gift. Not something a coach should expect.
Lol, They picked Stroud in the first minute of being on the clock. Would that warrant chest bumping…picking a player they knew all along they were going to pick at that locked-in draft spot and simply went ahead and did it. Maybe, unless that was just part one of their two player quest. Conversely the hugely coveted Anderson pick was no way a done deal after picking up CJ. They had to start making calls ASAP. Anyone could have upped the ante at the last minute to outbid them. The joy was palpable and no doubt rewarding to see their plan come to fruition. If Anderson was picked first would they be chest bumping but remain stoic after trading up for CJ? But since it was a podcast and podcast’s have so much respect on this boardLook at the press conference and then way they hugged and showed love for Anderson vs how they acted towards Stroud. There's a podcast out there that points out the differences.
Hannah’s increased profile has more to do with rebuilding the Texans image as a whole…she’s a pretty face…she won’t be readily attacked publicly by the media like they would & have dobe with all the males kike Cal and NC. she’s well spoken and very comfortable in dealing with the media too….you won’t get classic canned responses from her like you would Meco, Cal and NC. The other thing at play here given what happened here with DW4 and the Texans franchise is she’s specifically being put out front b/c she’s helping rebuild the female fanbase. Lots of females looked at the Texans with the side eye after all these sexual assualt lawsuits. Remember, the Texans had one brought against them specifically in which they settled quickly to avoid more negative publicity.
Better than this:

Really, IMO, I am for all of this and the CJ and WA picks and for no other reason than to think of watching the Texans without Will on the DL or CJ in the QB room just sounds boring as hell. If Hannah ever said the Texans have an image problem and now that we got Demeco let’s go out and have some smart, bold fun with it all then I 100% agree and the bourbon is certainly smoother these days….aaaahhhhhHannah’s increased profile has more to do with rebuilding the Texans image as a whole…she’s a pretty face…she won’t be readily attacked publicly by the media like they would & have dobe with all the males kike Cal and NC. she’s well spoken and very comfortable in dealing with the media too….you won’t get classic canned responses from her like you would Meco, Cal and NC.
