BADBOY college players to watch 2023 draft

Maybe same arm talent and build. BUT Hooker has proven himself to be a pocket passer............but quite capable of surprising his opponents with his strong legs when the opportunity shows its head.

Sounds like he comes from a family with football experience:

He is the son of the North Carolina A&T Hall of Fame quarterback Alan Hooker

And may have his head screwed on right:

With his knowledge of the Bible and wanting to influence the younger generation and his younger cousin Landon, Hooker and his brother created a children's book called The ABCs of Scripture for Athletes. Hendon’s goal was for the work to be "a positive influence in the lives of kids in his community". The book uses a sports themed alphabet to help kids learn scripture.

Did you see the poor throws Stroud made? And he's got the best receiving group in CFB to throw to. They made a bunch of catches that boosted his stats that other wr's wouldn't have made
You act like Texas has walkons or something. 15 overthrows is like the most at UT since who knows when and we know they've had some sorry qb's in the last 20 years or so. He was terrible in the 2nd half even on the easy throws. He's young, only his 3rd start since his jr year of high school.

I know he had a terrible day... I didn't watch the second half, I was watching the Astros kick butt. I was just pointing out that even the mighty Stroud that you were so high on could have a bad day. And if you think the receiving group at UT can hold a candle to what's at OSU I don't know what to tell you

See, there you go making up stuff. You have never seen a post by me being so high on Stroud. All I've ever posted when posters try to say wait until 2024 is I think there are at 3 franchise quality qb's in this draft. When posters keeps saying Ewers or Williams is the choice in 2024, I don't view Ewers or Williams as a higher graded players than the 3 and possibly 4 we have in this class. Just because I critic a player after having a bad day, doesn't mean I don't like him. I'm mature enough to have constructive criticism and can still be positive about a player. I like Young despite his small stature because he make the easy throws look really easy. He even make the hard throws look easy and he has great poise.

You forgot about Maye

What are your thoughts on Duggan the QB from TCU? Sure plays with a lot of passion. Late round flier?
I am not a fan and have him rated as a undrafted free agent who may not even make a practice squad. I haven't followed him at all this year but he has taken a beating over his first three years as a quarterback. When I was watching he seemed to get shook up after he was moved from his first set up position in the pocket. I think he has maybe an average arm and not too accurate over the years at any of the three levels. Hope that is helpful.

NFL team records causing much talk. My latest thoughts on what I would like Houston to do in 2023:

*Houston trades Cleveland pick of 1.4 to Seattle for 1.15 + both Seahawks round twos. I think Caserio has the ability to pull this off and many I see have Seattle getting a QB. This plus pressure of QBs going high and quickly leads to this trade. I am only going to pick 15 round one and then adding my choices through round five* only for Texans.

1.1 Texans JC Stroud : if he is a complete bust and I don't see that we have a lesser opportunity 2024

1.2 Lions Bryce Young

1.3 Pittsburgh Left Tackle Skoronski

1.4 trade Houston to Seattle for QB Will Levis

1.5 Eagles from N.O. Will Anderson

1.6 Panthers QB Hendon Hooker

1.7 Seattle from Denver Jalen Carter

1.8 Jags WR Njigba-Smith {could fall more due to hamstring}

1.9 Bears Myles Murphy

1.10 Wash CB Ringo

1.11 ATL Bresee

1.12 PATs Paris Johnson

1.13 Cards CB Joey Porter {I'm not all in on him but seems to be consensus at corner}

1.14 Colts CB Cam Smith

1.15 Texans from Seattle WR Jordan Addison

-----

2.32 (Miami forfeits their 1) Texans DL Tyree Wilson

2.39 Texans from Seattle Edge Anudike-Asomah

2.44 Texans from Seattle DT Siaki Ika

3. 64 CB Emmanuel Forbes

3.69 WR Tyler Harrell 6' 190
At Louisville's "Pro Day" this spring, he was hand-timed in 4.19 seconds in the 40-yard dash and was officially clocked in 4.24, fastest on the team. For comparison's sake, in the 2021 NFL Draft Combine, Auburn's Anthony Schwartz ran the fastest 40 at 4.26. And Harrell's Pro Day time was faster than both Atwell's (4.32) and Fiztpatrick's (4.46) in the Combine.

4.100 Safety Rashad Torrence

5.132 RB Israel Abanikanda

The Pitt Panthers running back rushed for a record-setting 320 yards and six touchdowns in a 45-29 win over Virginia Tech. The 5-11, 215-pound junior became the first Power 5 conference football player to rush for more than 300 yards and score six TDs in a game since Ricky Williams of Texas in 1998. The Brooklyn native had a respectable 510 yards and seven total touchdowns in the first five games for Pitt (4-2), but this performance puts him on an entirely different level. College football fans are now taking notice.

As long as Lovie is the DC, he's not running his defense with a guy like Ika. He's looking for more of the Gerald McCoy type. That's probably why they didn't draft Davis at 13 when it made the most sense. I thought Vea played under Lovie, but he didn't.

Yep, and the is the only reason why I hope Lovie exists Kirby. The game has passed him by in this regard. Fix the DL early in this draft and find some playmakers in rds 3-4 on the offensive side of the ball

Man a DL of Carter, Anderson, Ika, and Greenard is really appealing to me. Great young talent.

Oh I agree but as I have stated elsewhere I expect Lovie and Pep Hamilton to be gone after this season.

I think they will get three years. This year, next, and the following.

I heard Caserio say on the Pat McAfee show he likes to grade 3 year increments.
Obviously he didn't grade Culley on that scale.

There's a case to be made that Culley did a better job than Lovie's currently doing.
