What Grade Did Caserio Get on Watson Trade?

Bad news for the Browns is good news for the Texans. :)

Anyone think the clerk lost the trade and should've held out for a bigger deal now?

Gotta give the man credit.. He created a market for a quarterback who said that he wouldn't play another down for this team before all of this crap came out.. Then he had the patience to wait a entire year (hellava lot more patience than I had), build his trade value back up, and cash out with a damn good deal right before the floor fell out again. Especially considering how his pending suspension could effect how high those picks are.

How many people now think another team would give us what the Browns just gave us a few months ago? I see things only getting worse for the Browns and ✌and I'm so glad the headlines now read "Browns QB". Now Nick just has to cash in on those picks.

After these latest revelations, yes I'm moving my grade up considerably. Of course, Nick's new grade is partially predicated on luck. I don't think anyone saw these additional lawsuits coming. If the 100 number is right, more lawsuits could still be filed. This trickle of new LS might turn into an avalanche of small rocks. Death by a thousand small cuts if you will.

It's not what he did so much as how often he did these things that might bring him down. One or two is creepy, but a man can recover from a bad choice or two. But 25, or more? That is sick and DW needs help as that makes him a sexual predator not just a guy that got a little too "excited" and asked for a little bonus service once or twice in an otherwise normal massage.

I had thought he'd be suspended for 6-8 games this year and then he'd be back and cooking with butane. Now? I don't think he plays at all this year and I'm not even sure about next year. Hell, I'm not sure he EVER takes the field again. I'm not predicting that and it's not likely imo, but it's now within the realm of possibility.

These new lawsuits change the calculus dramatically. IMO, the Browns are going to live to regret this trade and all of the baggage that comes with it, and in hindsight, slick Nick will come out smelling like a rose, especially if he turns these 3 number one's into valuable starters.

I've been saying this from the beginning.

The reason Derrick didn't settle to begin with is because there's probably 100 or more women he did this too. I bet he couldn't tell you how many women he did this too. The problem is a year from now another woman could file a lawsuit. Then another the year after that. Drip drip drip, who knows when this stops and I can't see the NFL/God'ell letting him play until the lawsuits are settled. This could literally be a career killer. Dumbazz SMDH. Not that I think this is what what will happen, but it's what should happen to a sexual predator.

I find it quite ironic that the face of the Cleveland Browns franchise is a sexual predator. LMAO, you can't make this stuff up. This will make for a great movie. Completely with the line,

Don't be afraid to get deeper in there and I don't need no towel I got this wash cloth.

It will be interesting to see how the NFL doles out the punishment.

If they treat it as one activity then they can punish him once now, & complaints stemming from this time period won’t generate new punishment.

For instance, the discipline committee could say, “For the activity conducted from March 2019 to September 2020, we suspend you 12 games.”

Then unless a new complaint comes out outside that range, or of a different nature then the 12 games would be considered time serve.

Now if they suspend him on a per incident basis, 2 games for each incident, then yeah… new complaints will merit new punishment.

Then again if they put him on the CEL until these matters are cleared up & a new complaint comes out two years from now the clock would start over.

I remember when I was preparing myself to get nothing for Watson. There were other people who thought the same. Why would anyone trade for Watson?

The fact we got three firsts is still surprising.

It is going to get more surprising as time goes on.
Well they're the Browns and the Haslems own them, so how could anybody really be surprised?

The problem with that scenario is that is sending the message of a one size fits all punishment. I think the NFL was about ready to wrap up their investigation and had out whatever punishment they felt they could sell to the public. Now with 23 and 24 coming out and the real possibility of others if they punish him based on 22 and then that number jumps up it looks like they were just trying to make it go away. I mean they do but they can't appear that way. My question is when does the circus and the bad PR reach a point where they say "I don't care how talented and exciting he is this isn't worth it any more." and just wash their hands of him.

That opportunity was when Watson was available to trade for. ATL, Cleveland, Miami and Carolina didn’t believe that.

New York Giants did though. So did the Texans.

I'm not talking about the teams I'm talking about the NFL as a whole. They have to hand down some punishment because if they don't they will be crucified but if these new cases keep coming in then almost any punishment they hand out many people will say its not enough. Meanwhile the clock is ticking till the first game of the season and they have to make a choice one way or the other.

My answer would have been 22.

Problem God'ell has is there's probably over 100 women that this pervert has violated. Any of these women could file a complaint at any time..

Truth is Derrick probably doesn't know how many women he pulled this crap on, so there's no way to know when a new complaint will pop up.

This is going to take yrs to settle and I can't see things working out for the pervert.

I bet Derrick wishes he would have voted for Buzbee to become mayor these days.
