This is not the horrendous clusterf$*k I was expecting.
Tyrod Taylor looked sharp. Mills looked serviceable. The offensive line looked like they knew what their assignments were.

Well, I mean there were some flashes, but as it turned out, way too many bad throws. 11-21 (52.3%), 111 yards, 5.3 Y/A, 0 TD, 1 pick, and a 47.9 passer rating. Not all that great, but like I said there were some flashes, including converting some 3rd downs. A lot of work to do.

For the first half of the first preseason game the Texans looked fine to me, considering what we've been through with this team. I wonder what we'll be saying after the 3rd preseason game?

Can only go by what I’ve seen in a half of one game so far. We’ll see what progress, or not, is made by game 3, then we’ll see what needs to be said.
I'll admit Mills looks more "ready" than I thought he would. But he's a long way from ready to start a regular season game if you're expecting to win.

I'm not trying to imply he's ready to start and lead us to the Super Bowl. But he's a third round rookie in his first NFL action. I've seen guys drafted higher with more experience who have looked worse. He's got potential. That's all I'm saying.
