Sexual Assault Suits Against Watson

No if the DA takes it to trial then thats it, nothing that does or does not happen in the civil cases has any affect on the criminal case and vice versa. A common misconception is that people file charges when the reality is that people file a report and the DA brings charges, at that point is it out of the, in this case, women's hands on what happens. Watson could settle every civil case against him and then he would still have to work out a settlement, most likely probation and community service if he's lucky, with the county/state. Thats putting aside any federal charges based off of crossing state lines. If Watson really does roll snake eyes on all this then it could get very very nasty for him because it could, in theory, go federal and federal doesn't plea bargain like state or county does because they like to make example and they are not subject to local elections.
Awright, thanks man.

Ok, several women have stepped forward with criminal complaints; Watson apparently has not shown any inclination to resolve so it appears (to me), claims are going toward indictment. These are high profile claims with the nation and big corporations watching as well as many other organizations so where's the beef as Wendy's asked?

IMO (whoopie) there has been time for prosecutor to review evidence (ham sandwich) and at minimum set a trial date. What is the holdup? NFL has had same time if not more to investigate and I can understand reluctance to say much until civil action resolved but it is time to rock and rolla.

That is completely wrong about how the process works. First the police will have to bring the evidence to the DA once they feel they have gathered enough for the DA to make a case. At which point the DA has to agree there is enough for a case and given the nature of the charges and the high profile of the case both things could take a long time.

IF the DA moves forward most likely they will push for a grand jury so they test the strength of their evidence. After all that it’s a judge that sets the trial date.

As far as the NFL goes I don’t expect them to do to much until either the legal system moves or it gets close to the start of the season and they have to act.

Long story short if you think this has gone on long enough you are in for a shock, this thing as a LONG way to go and if it really does go criminal then we are talking years.

Why? If they think he's done nothing wrong then there shouldn't be any problems.

Do I really need to explain this? Nobody’s daughter should be subjected to punishment and forced into doing something disgusting, sexual or perverse because of what her parents choose to think. A daughter is not an object. Even in theory this is sick logic. You are just flat out wrong on this one and if you don’t get it, you won’t get it. C’mon man...

just another pressure tactic by Buzzbee.....now because the NFL won’t go along with his pressure plan in favor of his clients and do something to act on the situation now without more evidence, it’s a problem b/c his clients are “not being respected...”

False. What has the NFL ever done about harassment of or violence against women? Be honest. It took a video of Ray Rice damn near taking his wife’s jaw off to do something

the problem with your whole premise is that the NFL as entity isn’t required to do anything about issues that are a problem within the whole of society and for him to expect them to do something based on his clients allegations just b/c 1 of their employees may have done something is just......stupid.

Yes they have a huge platform and can reach millions .......if they chose to break out the pitchforks and convict DW4 based on the court of public opinion like he would like, but :

A. These are still allegations

B. They’re still trying to gather evidence ...that apparently still lacks in these allegations.

C. They have the NFLPA to contend with and have to be sure that whatever move they make towards this is a credible move.

furthermore, they’re not REQUIRED to do anything until their investigation concludes. Aside from that, now he’s a champion of sexual harassment & violence against women b/c his clients were allegedly assaulted by an NFL star? Where was he in the decade plus of similar if not more egregious acts LIKE the Ray Rice incident? Didn’t hear a peep from his ass then...he was too busy getting paid and losing mayoral campaigns to be bothered.

Dude is so transparent. When the buzz in the public begins to die down about this he does or says something to thrusts it back in the public eye. It makes him look slimier and exactly like DW4 described in his initial statement...publicity-seeking....especially compared to Hardin whose team is quietly doing their thing preparing for the would be trial.

So the NFL isn’t required to discipline their players in such events because it’s a problem with society? Wow lmao

weak retort & your reading comp is terrible....they don’t have to discipline UNTIL their investigation is concluded....which apparently it isn’t...and even then no, they still don’t have to do anything. Buzzbee felt like he had to step in b/c his clients werent getting the favorable sympathy treatment he thought that they were going to get right away.

I see you also dismissed all the other factual info that could/is effecting their decision tho.

You said specifically the NFL isn’t required to do anything that is a problem in society. Actually, actions that violate league policy do require discipline, that is in the league handbook

no question...but they are t required to do it until they’re investigation is concluded AND THEY determine whether his actions violate the league’s personal conduct policy/rules. ...not when Buzzbee THINKS they should..... Thus, them taking their time and conducting THEIR OWN investigation.

No doubt DW4 will get his from Goodell and the NFL...

Love all the capital letters,it let’s me know when to really read harder🤓

This post would be spot on if DW4 hadn't said he hadn't done what these women claimed he's done. Then retracted his statement and said he had had consenual sex with some of his 100 plus massage therapists he had used in a yrs time.

So it's grown from ~40 to 100+?

He retracted nothing...and having consensual sex doesn’t equate to sexual assault.

He did originally say he hadn't had sex with massage therapists. Maybe he was confused by the question. He's not very bright so I definitely could see this happening.

he put out a statement basically saying the NFL is screwing up in how they’re handling this and his clients....the NFL responds with their own statement on their stance....within that same statement he proclaims settlement talks are “definitely” not happening......as if to say that he or his clients aren’t interested in one..Hardin’s team blows that out of the water saying he’s approached them several times trying to settle and they have refused him b/c they want it to go to trial and don’t want anyone “muzzled”.

I don’t think it’s wise for him to be coming at the NFL either...

Looks like this is going to court.

I cant wait for all of the good stuff to come out at trial. This should be very entertaining. I do think you're underestimating Buzbee though.

No.....I believe you are wrong sir. If he said that please find the statement. What I know is He himself has made 1 statement in this whole ordeal & I believe he said he didn’t treat any woman badly...or something to that effect. Literally the next thing out of Hardin’s mouth is he had consensual encounters with SOME of them.

Hardin was on his legal team when these allegations 1st came out?

Yes...DW4’s first lawyer through Mulegheta’s firm was for all intents and purposes a moron and Buzzbee chewed him up in private negotiations b/c that is who Buzzbee approached 1st with settlement talks about Solis who was the only client he had at the time I believe...this was before Buzzbee took it public. DW4 refused through that lawyer even then...Buzzbee threatened and eventually took it public, DW4 made his initial statement and Hardin was on the case within the next few days.

So in short the answer is NO.

Most if not allof the alleged “good stuff” is likely already out b/c Part of Buzzbee’s tactics was to embarrass DW4. So best believe those civil suit briefs that he filed contained every bit of relevant & embarrassing detail he could put in to shame DW4 b/c he knew they’d be read out in the public. The more salacious the better chance for him to embarrass DW4 into settling quickly.

this far it hasn’t worked though

With possibly another 50-60 women out there that gave DW4 massages I'm pretty sure there's alot more out there. I guess you could be right but the odds are against you.
