TEXANS ATTEMPTING A REBOUND AGAINST THE RAVENS IN WEEK 2

I did not look at the forum this season until today because I thought I should be fair and watch at least 2 games before complaining about the coaches etc not taking care of business again. 2 games is enough to see the obvious. I am really not happy with the Texans performance again. The only good thing they did this year was return the dough that I had already paid for my tickets because they had to. As usual I feel the blame for the poor performances of my team should be laid at the feet of the GM/Coach/Dictator/etc/etc/etc.

Look... I'm not going to claim DW had a good game.

But one team had a good game plan.
One team played smarter.
One team played more aggressive.
One team has an identity.

I don't think the problem is talent. One team knew what they had to do to win this game and they executed.

One team didn't turn the ball over or get stopped on 4th and 1. The other team did.

If you don’t think the Ravens offense is innovated and modern then I don’t know what to tell you. Every person on Earth knows they had to revamp their design to fit Lamar’s skill set. They aren’t forcing him to be something he isn’t

That shits not innovative bro and we contained that **** all 1st half. We run the zone read crap too and look what it got us. When Baltimore came out in the 2nd half and just lined up man on man and ran it down our throat, that’s when the game got out of hand. Innovation out the window...b/c that’s what it comes down to...

Lamar had a tame game by his standards.

I’m out for a few days...

Out of curiosity. Do you get more satisfaction from a Watson turnover, Watson injury, Watson bad game or a Texans' win? Inquiring minds want to know.

I certainly dont get satisfaction out of seeing the team lose. I just pointed out the differences between the 2 teams and why the Ravens won this game.

You have a problem with objective analysis?

Exactly my point.

WTH is the Texans identity on offense? What's their strength? They spent a lot of money & draft capital on their OL, but they're average at best. DW is the 2nd highest paid QB in the league, but not warranting his pay. Traded arguably our best player for a RB that's not dominant. And formulated a receiving crew that is playing just so-so.

This offense needs to be good at something.

Take some time to learn how to evaluate offenses why you’re gone. Maybe your takes will be better when you come back.

we’ll see what his offense looks like when they play a team worth a damn..

The Titans are a good team. But let's face it, the Texans played the 2 best teams in the AFC on back to back weekends and lost as expected. It's troublesome that neither game was a 1 score game and they've got the Steelers coming up next.

Starting 2 2nd year players and 2nd year with all 5 together and being average at this point with no pre-season or hitting in TC is pretty good actually

The WR corps is their strength, DJ's a good RB and yes the OL has underperformed. But turning the ball over and failing to get a critical 4th down cost the Texans the game. The Raven protected the ball and made their 4th downs.

And most everyone predicted them to get blown out ( as much as 60-0 ) and then act all surprised and pissed off when the Texans don't score every possession and shut the other team out

Anyone who thinks this team would be any better if OB was blessed with the best QB in the league right now......is an idiot.

It’s clear who the problem is.

There are many issues with this team, the HC/QB/Secondary etc....

It's not only the HC. There's plenty of blame to go around, however I choose to believe the Texans lost to 2 better teams.

People with brains you'll never have a better QB, never

I dont have a QB. The Texans have a QB, one they chose to pay $ 160 million over the next 4 yrs. It's going to be a long 4 yrs.

Hopefully you're wrong because the QB play currently isn't championship quality play.

I'm just hoping we show to be closer to the Ravens than the Browns did.

And you expected them to be top 5 already with 5 all pros

They’ve been pretty bad for going on 7 years now no matter who the pieces are. What exactly is it you’re expecting to be different?

And that goes for anything about this offense. OB has been given excuse after excuse, oh, it’s Rick Smith’s fault, let’s see how does aligned with Brian Gaine, no, that didn’t work out, let’s see how he does being the GM, how about if he gives up play calling, how about when takes back the play calling, and excuse after excuse, we get the exact same shit out of this guy.

This guy sucks and this team will never be more than the mediocre team they are as long as he’s here. I don’t care who the QB is. Because he’s been through 7 or 8 of them too.

Streaming is up. Cable tv has been on decline for YEARS.

Streaming is up, but overall viewers is still down. Texans v. Chiefs was the lowest rated kickoff game since 2008. The increase in streaming viewers only accounted for 970,000 viewers, last year's kickoff game had 627,000 viewers.

I agree there are a lot of issues with this team and Deshaun isn’t perfect. But I also think most of those issues fall on Bill and Deshaun has much more upside than Bill does. And yes the Texans schedule won’t do them any favors this year.

We see the same **** year after year.

Offense shits the bed early then when they are down 2 scores BOB wants to play ball control. He finally starts to throw and wants to use slow developing play action and the oline is getting killed. He never calls plays to get the ball out of the QB's hands. The offense has talent, but they are poorly coached and the scheme sucks.

Defense suffers from a lack of talent. They don't stop the run, don't get after the QB and the backend struggles in coverage.

This team is not good and the division isn't great which means they could screw around and win 8-9 and win it and then we will see the same shitshow again next year.

Apathy has set in early.
i’m not angry or even disappointed.
even during the miserable capers era and final season of kubiaks tenure I watched and was invested but now this this just background noise like some syndicated show you’ve seen over and over again. Doesn’t matter if you pay attention because you’ve seen it before and know how it ends.

The Arizona Cardinals had 7 players with multiple receptions today. Hopkins had 8 and Fitzgerald had 7. The Texans also had 7 players with multiple receptions today but of course we were fed that we got rid of Hopkins in order to spread it around more. I believe it's easier to spread it around with a guy like DHop being double and tripled and obviously Kingsbury figured it out. Interesting that a 2nd year coach could make it work but OB couldn't. After two weeks, the Hopkins trade looks even worse.
