I do not know CAL but have met many men and women who lead companies and make decisions daily but are terrified of speaking in front of others. I have no doubts CAL can make decisions if and when he thinks one should be made. He might choose to allow someone else to be front but if he decides to fire BOB, force a hire of OC or trade Watson..it will be done.OK, I’ll buy that. But I have to question if that makes it likely he’s just as uncomfortable in making any type of decision. Or, if he’s afraid that any decision he makes would force him to the microphone.
Just wondering that out loud in case someone wants to bat it around.

And I think it would be totally irresponsible to not explore all options to make team better. Thanks for the response. I know this is possibly thread derailing, but I find even even the slightest notion of trading Watson to be the most asinine, idiotic, outrageously stupid thing ever mentioned in this place, unless it’s just someone's idea of a sick joke.
Goony Goo Goo
I dunno would Cush then become the D-line/LB coach with Weaver's promo ?John McClain on SR610 says that he thinks that Romeo Crennel will most likely retire. Additionally, when asked who he thinks might replace him, he put forth our current d-line coach, Anthony Weaver. To be clear, this was his personal opinion, not based on anything specific that he’s heard lately.
And the price for Watson, a young high performing QB, should so high that no other organization would realistically pay...And I think it would be totally irresponsible to not explore all options to make team better.
If Houston is willing to pay $35 million + for "franchise" Watson why would not other teams? Each season we see teams make huge offers for QBs not established as "top 5..franchise." Of course, BOB is an idiot and anyone he hires or promotes is unworthy and incompetent. And every thread eventually becomes an "I hate BOB this much" thread. I really have grown tired of it. I would like to talk some football instead of rehash the same regurgitated garbage.Anthony Weaver is unworthy?
It would be classy of Crennel to retire. His unit has been as bad as OB's. The injury bug hit hard, but I'm tired of 10 yd cushions on 3 & 3.![]()

The fans on this MB tend to be smart football fans. They know where the problem lies, for the most part. I have to agree with SBT on his criticism of ownership. I don't agree with his opinion that they only care about profits and not about winning. I agree with him about them not knowing how to hire competent NFL people and not firing the responsible party in a timely fashion.Of course, BOB is an idiot and anyone he hires or promotes is unworthy and incompetent. I bet the vegas odds are higher that happens before OB is firedGood, hopefully OB is next.
Who am I kidding, OB is going to fire Cal next.
