Beating the Titans is actually the only way there's a chance we'd play them again. Next week, that is. The Titans are not eliminated if the Texans beat them.

We play the Titans next week if Texans win, KC, Indy and Pittsburgh all lose.

I fully expect the Texans to do exactly the same thing they do every year, which is doing the same thing and expecting different results. They don't play the regulars during the preseason and they don't play them in game 17. So the regulars come in disjointed, off-time and will get many penalties before losing in the playoffs. That has been the only consistency I have seen over the years.

Screw them. I want to beat them, kick them out of the playoffs so those dumas5es are saying, "Well Tannehill didn't win that game. Let's chunk him & Mariota & make a clean break... you think we could get FitzMagic back for a season or two?"

Or maybe we can trade them McCarron for our Luv ya Blue

We will get curb stomped by the Titans without Watson. How will that momentum carry over? I can see Tennesse coming off a blowout victory using that momentum and this team continuing its downward spiral of the last month.

If this team was only playing better I would agree with you.

oh cmon Powda dont be a soothsayer. If Watson is in danger of long term injury he shouldnt be playing at all. If he's going to get hurt, he's going to get hurt .. no difference between this game or the next.

WAtson has looked like spread open ass lately too, he needs to go into the playoffs on a positive note. Im not worried so much about the phantom back injury as much as the ankle he was clutching at, and since that ankle is nowhere on the injury report that dude needs to go out there and make it happen. Gets in his work and goes into halftime leading and looking good then I'd be okay with yanking him.

There is no skin in the game for you. Your just an internet tough guy. There are no consequences for you if Watson or someone else gets hurt.

Your brash because you can afford to be. A coach on the other hand has no such luxury.

Watson and starters should play 1-2 series at most.

I actually prefer the Titans to make playoffs so they give Tannehill an extension. Then they get another 3 more years of a mediocre QB.

I donated my tickets, feels like pre-season. Game week, have the starters prepare like they are going to play to work out kinks. KC is like 80% to win, when they win, let the starters play a series max, and then go full pre-season mode. If they field I even feel better. That is not playing scared, but playing for the second season.

Titans will go and run the heck out of it and smash on KC, beat them down or beat them again even. We can beat Buffalo at home. Then you just have to beat the Ravens a game early. Much better chance if DW4 can plant his foot and torque his body (foot/back). He threw like crap last game, likely physical. Yes the three seed is easier, but you have to beat good teams now so health matters

Health and what the guys in the polos do are what I am most worried about right now.

Yes the Titans must win since backing into the playoffs is fraught with peril. Derrick Henry is back and hopefully will have his top gear available. Most of the other major players are available. As a outsider how do you see our HC and QB?

With a Titans win, it’s very possible that we may do this all over again. And that will truly be for all the marbles.

Welcome to MB ..do you think Watson can take advantage of your Adoree Jackson being out or will your DBs step up? Is Henry anymore healthy than when Houston held him to 86 yds 4.1 and more importantly zero TDs?

You are correct about having an ankle concern. His high ankle sprain I can tell you was definitely aggravated............not being on the Injury Report means nothing more than the Injury Report has been manipulated for the purpose of forcing game planning by the Titans D as if running is still a major option. Late in the game, his ankle re-injury messed with his core mechanics, resulting in his back injury. Whether he gets a rest or not, he needs it. Another concern I have is even though that ankle should be rested (and his back protected) and, if he does play, running should be minimized or avoided altogether...........that his natural tendencies to leave the pocket and run will take over his decision-making process under pressure.

Do you think the defense should be better considering all the injuries and personnel changes ?

Week 17 at then Reliant Stadium, the Patriots met the Texans with a playoff spot and seed sewn up. With nothing to play for, Belichick started most of his regulars, including Pro Bowl WR Wes Welker. Welker tore his ACL in the first series. The Patriots went on to take a rare home playoff loss the following week.

Bill O’Brien was on that Patriots staff. I hope he remembers that lesson.

Well AFN has seen fit to air the Titans at Texans tonight at 2230 here.....hoping the Chargers just want to get a win so the afternoon game has some meaning. I'll probably be watching either way but could go to bed at the half if the Texans are the 4 seed at kickoff.

OB already won the division, so he doesn’t care about the 3rd seed. Hopefully he’s preparing against Buffalo and doesn’t come out flat again.
 
The Texans better win the WC game. Or else next week this board will be flooded with “I told you” threads concerning resting some starters today and losing the WC.

Rest or no rest, if the Texans lose next week it won’t be because of being rusty.
