No they didn't... I was going to games with TB and others
Sorry, but I specifically remember several of them going nuts over Kubiak being criticized in here. Texan Bill and Glass Half Full might as well have had a string out for him. The Aggies/Texans fans never cared what he did as HC, but as long as he was their HC. Glass was a die hard Aggie fan, and a lot of them complained about negativity towards Kubiak.

I think we have a communication problem

Well you just don't remember.

This.

Towards the end, this board was on Kubiak's ass.

OB has probably gotten roasted longer, but Kubiak was given a lot of rope early on because he started with a truly bad team with not much talent, his offenses were consistently productive save for red zone issues and for the most part you could see a consistent path to improvement.

Well I could at least...Until his last couple years here....

Here it comes- “Tough game today...that’s a quality team over there...I just have to do a better job coaching...that’s on me”. So tired of the same stuff after every loss...he’s had almost six years...one playoff win...time for him to go.

I know there will be some who will continue to defend BoB, even after a debacle like we’re seeing today. My question to those people is “Why?”
Well, I said if we score two or more TDs against the Patriots I will be a BO'b nuthugger. I should have said for a day, but I didn't. So... don't blame Bill.

He's on the sideline. For whatever reason, whatever Watson has for Fuller, he don't have for Stills or QT. & it's not BO'bs fault QT fumbled that ball. If BO'b had his way, QT would be traded for a 2022 bag of stale chips.

& there's some supernatural sht going on here. Lose, win, win, lose, win, win.

So I'm telling you right now. We're not winning our first playoff game this year. Not going to happen. Best we can do is hope we're not embarrassed & we lose on something out of our control, like a blown PI or phantom tripping calls.

Don't blame O'Brien. He's only human.

Kubiak NEVER got roasted like OB has for the past 3 years on this board
Kubiak never got roasted like OB from some fans. He got roasted plenty from others.

I never got on Kubiak the way I've got on O'Brien, I'll admit it. I liked the way Kubiak did things (up until the picksixathon). & I have not agreed with O'brien's methods until recently.

Either freak'n way, neither is an NFL HC. They're coordinators. We need a HC... & GM... & a $1M stipend for White Zombie fans.

Oh, battles went on for years regarding Kubiak/Smith (Smithiak). I mean the threads are still there and existent. He was given way to long of a leash as well.

That was in the Rey/Polo days. :)

I guess I recall the board from much earlier... I've been reading since I discovered in 2003 (?). Decided to join in 2006, it took until 2009 before I got approved. That's why I have the name JB. I got 'user name in use' or 'not alllowed like 5 times in a row before while having a Jim Beam I said "**** it" and submitted and got approved for JB. The preponderance of loud purely OB hate with little team talk is greater than ever. Player's caught most of the game day hate prior to 2014. Most of the hate is from KOF and some from A&Mof... Nowadays, the OB hate-first bleeds over in every thread. Much worse than Kubiak ever got prior to Phillips hiring about his DC choices and his loyalty to mediocrity. I just think it would be nice if the players and coaches would be held accountable OB included. It's not about 1 man

rant over... sorry

:drunk: maybe

You know I was xtruroyaltyx before both of those.

First started posting on the old official board circa 04

Correction.

We should win our next two. Lose the final game of the regular season, win the home Wildcard game & lose the divisional game again.

Embarrassing playoff loss on the road ain't so bad. We'll get to hang our banner & lie to ourselves for 10 months or so, convincing ourselves if we had that 1st round bye the 68-3 shellacking would have been a 24-13 victory.

This is patently incorrect. And you were here for 2009-2013. Kubiak was way more maligned by way more people overall.

As for your last line, Kubiak is a coordinator. O'Brien hasn't proven he can do anything with any degree of competence except receive piles of undue adulation from sycophants who want desperately to believe the best is still to come because he's an ex-Patriot and he "HAS to be greater than this just give him more time!" They can't fathom that their anointed savior is in fact a scam, a liar, a fraud, and a piece of **** on and off the field. I wouldn't hire that guy to coordinate an office lunch order.

3 more weeks until my official analysis of Bill O'Brien is ready. Like I've been saying there's nothing he can do in the regular season to give me real faith and I do give him credit for an individual good game but not towards his complete body of work. I must admit it's not looking good but we shall see.

292 yards with one TD pass and two interceptions by Deshaun Watson??

Remember your premise is that a stat line like that means its all his fault. You don't get to blame outside factors like coaching, receivers, or defensive play when a QB has a stat line like that. The standard you set already.
Who the **** you talking to? Remind me of what "my" premise is again?

You know exactly what you're premise is.

When a QB doesn't produce great stats, its all his fault and he's in decline. No other circumstances matter, nor are you willing to discuss them after the fact.

You can't blame O'Brien for a bad game from Watson now. Not that with that stat line. Lol!

Hire Greg Roman. If Cal was smart...nevermind.

If the owner was serious about winning he would fire OB and request to interview Roman during the bye. Have him locked up like Shannahan was for the Falcons.

What? You were just saying how good he has been doing as a GM and that he should stay on as that

The Texans don't have an identity on offense. They don't do something well, stick with it, and build off of it. They change it up week to week with this stupid ass game-to-game game planning BS they do, sometimes totally cutting out the things they do well because they think they need to do something else against team X this week. And because they don't stick with and build on the things they do well, there's where your inconsistency comes from.

I guess that falls under play calling but it all stems from this flawed game-to-game game planning philosophy they have and they just don't build on the things they do well. And I don't know why they don't do that, other than the tired cliche of pounding the square peg in the round hole. It absolutely fits here.

Their philosophy itself doesn't put the talent in the best possible position to succeed consistently, like Baltimore is doing, like New England does every year. Like I said, the talent is good enough to make enough plays to win some games, but their philosophy is why they're so Jekyll & Hyde so much. And now 6 years of it, I don't see why anyone would ever think it's going to change with this staff.
Been saying the same thing for years

Watson hasn't been able to play 3 great games in a row.

Team wasn't ready and I kinda expected what we saw yesterday after the big Pat's win

Your Pat's hate is shining bright.

I bet you really wouldn't be happy if Belichick was coaching the Texans next year.

You’re as consistent as O’Brien’s teams. :)
