Game 13...Break the Ponies...Denver Broncos!

JamTex

Hall Of Fame Texans Fan!
On Sunday, December 8th at 12 noon CST, the Denver Broncos will be in town to take on our Houston Texans at NRG stadium. The game will be aired locally in Houston on TV on CBS 11 and on radio on 610 Sports Radio AM.

The Texans are like Jeckle and Hyde. You never know who's going to show up. The Texans were able to beat 2 elite teams this year and got blown out by another. The Ponies are anything but elite. The good thing is, the Texans have been able to win the games they should for the most part this year. Doesn't bode well for the lowly Broncos.

Here are your 2 teams.

Honestly, who would anyone be afraid of on the Broncos staff either on offense or defense other then possibly Von Miller?
This game is one the Texans don't need to over look. Keep this game in prospective and go into it to win. Don't take it easy. This is a sleeper team that could surprise you and come in with a big upset if the Texans aren't fully prepared to play. Don't play down to the level of the lesser team. Play up to the full potential of the objectively deadly offense of Watson and his weapons.
The defense is showing great improvement and Roby being fully back adds to the mix in great ways. Go after the Denver offense hard and with great fury. Don't take it easy and don't give them any room to breathe.
It's time to win a game in dominating fashion after beating the Patriots to prove that it wasn't a fluke. Watson and the Texans need to follow up a big, convincing win against an elite opponent with devastating destruction of a lesser team. The Texans will show up and show out in this one.

Ur apology should be as loud as Ur disrespect was
Ah Ha Ha .. my man! Hitting us early with the GT!! Signature wins will do that huh!

This is where I go in on the Ponies and say that we whip them by double digits and somehow we go back to the run/run/pass offense and lose the game right? LOL nahh. Im sure we've turned a stone, flipped the page, spanked the monkey, greased the wheel, lubed the piston etc.. etc.. from here on out it will be nothing but rainbows and unicorns!!

Meaning the date of the game is Dec. 8, not Dec. 12. Prediction from here is Toros 24, Broomtails 13. Now Team, don't pull a Texans on us and get blown out of the stadium by a bad squad.

We are playing against a rookie QB...

Under Bill O'Brien, the Texans have very good against teams they should beat...the teams with winning record thing is very problematic.

I'd say the guy to key on for Denver is Courtland Sutton. He's really coming into his own in his 2nd year. I think his size will give our small corners problems. Seems like he's making big plays on the regular. I think we can do enough to slow down the running game. Play like last night, and Texans roll.

Joseph at 5'11" usually handles all WRs reasonably well and new arrival Lonnie Johnson is 6.017 and Roby is 5'11 with Conley at even 6 feet.

According to that, it looks like the Texans are due to drop one.

Seriously though, don't be surprised if they come out looking flat. I hope they're past that, but big games like last night tend to have that effect the following week.

They mess around and drop one to a Denver, and it will take a little bit of shine off beating the Pats.

Texans got hot at the right time of the year. Eh blow a game to Baltimore and beat a divisional opponent in a key game. Than you beat the defending champs the following week. This team is hot right now. They could finish the season undefeated. No more real threats. The titans are pretenders. As far as this game goes I feel confident knowing if we’re down in a close one our qb will win it but I think this will be a easy w

Since its a home game, I hope this game is a blow out. I need a chill and easy Sunday like the Atlanta game. The stretch is not going to be easy with Titans coming up. So I kinda hope this one is.

With that said, Broncos don't lose in blow outs this season so it'll probably be closer than expected.

I think this is going to be the reverse of the Patriots game where it's closer than expected going into the 4th then the offense scores that puts the game away and the score will reflect that.

Holidays had me jumping the last 2 weeks. With my 8 year old out of school last week and family coming in, I didn't have time to get the threads done.
Thanks to #Seegara for taking care of that. He did a great job.
Jam got to be honest, Seegara made both the Colts and Pats threads and we won both those games. Last one you made was the Ravens game and...…….yeah. So maybe you should be "to busy" for the rest of the season brother. :kitten: :clown:

Post Pats, pre Titans. This is the definition of a trap game. The Broncos have talent on defense and Fangio can cook up good schemes. Need to take the life out of them early. I’m not kidding, this game concerns me.

Broncos have been in alot of close games. They are better than their record says.

Just to lighten the mood. Here's something even Belichick can't scheme for.

So far this year we have a pattern of 1 loss followed by 2 wins.

Saints L
Jaguars W
Chargers W
Panthers L
Falcons W
Chiefs W
Colts L
Raiders W
Jaguars W
Ravens L
Colts W

Which means to keep the pattern going we are due a win.

So instead of using common sense I'm going to go with this voodoo sh*t and predict a win against the Patriots (even though I wouldn't put any money on it).
I'm as wishy washy as the next Texans fan. This week I say all that spooky stuff is ridiculous and we are going to win because we are the better team.

we specialize in beating teams with middle to poor offenses. RAC will smoke that offense and DW4 at home will make enough plays. We win even if JT makes the thread. Now for the road Titans game, maybe Seegara comes back

Looking at their O-line, backs, and line coach (Muncack), I'm confused how the Broncos haven't gotten more out of the run game.

I wonder if OB will fire Devlin and bring in Munchak?

Nah.
makes too much sense, and Munch would probably take his job fairly quickly. The self preservation gene is strong with OBrien. Love the idea though.

Munchak isn’t making decisions on anything else but family. He isn’t leaving Denver.

I appreciate the direction we appear to be heading. I like the wins against the Chiefs & Patriots.

But my honest opinion, it's a little soon to know where this thing is headed. Don't get me wrong. I think it's headed in the right direction, same as you.

But every year we're looking for "quality wins." We'll point to this one or that one. Come middle of January & those wins don't mean so much.

12 wins, 9 wins... I honestly couldn't care less. What are we going to do in the playoffs?

I am hoping that with several players being new to the team and or coming off injury the overall attitude will be extremely focused and excited. With JJ, Andre Johnson and Cushing on the sidelines combined with Hopkins walk-ins on the field they will have enough leadership to pull them forward. Also we can't forget about those players that are hoping for big paychecks from somebody 2020 and continuing they are going to be playing 100%. Also Watson wants the opportunity of hitting 5000 yards with Fuller and the other receivers staying healthy the touchdowns should increase exponentially.. yes my heart is beginning to beat more quickly

I’m pretty sure they’re top half in defense, and Drew Lock is a lot scarier than Joe Flacco. You have to account for more things, mobility in particular.

Caught the Chiefs when Mahommes was struggling, the Colts suck this year, and the Patriots are watching Brady fade away. They're 10-2 based on nothing but mystique and even they look like they're starting to not believe they are "THE Patriots" anymore.

Come playoff time I wouldn't bet a penny on the Texans versus any of them, even the Colts if they somehow managed to stumble into the postseason.

Against genuinely good teams at full strength nothing has changed. Saints? Texans found a way to lose. Ravens? Wiped their asses with BoB's team. That's normal. That's business as usual until they prove otherwise.

Let's be fair here, those seems to be a lot excuses that are not afforded to our very on Texans. Watson was out there playing with broken ribs after the Cowboys game. The Colts were and are still in the running for a playoff spot. Before that game no one was saying they were a bad team. Might seem like a down year for Brady, like you said they're still 10-2.

The Saints game was the first game of the season. I was saying the same thing that you're alluding to, " the same ole Texans". But since then IMO they have shown some improvements.

The playoffs is a different monster and I surely hope we finally get over that hump. Just like we leaped over the Patriots humps as well as the primetime hump sorta speak.

^ Accurate in every way. If you're going anywhere in the playoffs you have to have a coach. The old Oilers proved that exhaustively year after year. I wouldn't give 10¢ for our chances against the Colts or any other contender in the post-season.

Yeah... but when those teams are healthy they destroy teams. They're favored in 80% of their games & you expect to see them in the AFCCG.

When we're healthy we're in a highly contested shootout with the Neverwonanything Bengals.

I'm hoping that is changing since we have a playmaker at QB.

Let's get there first but as of right now we have made strides in the right direction. That's my only point.
