Ok? Just because playing in the third preseason game is the "way it's always been done" doesn't mean it isn't a stupid idea. What good does losing your starting rusher, who has averaged nearly a 1000 yards each of the last three seasons, in a meaningless preseason game. He's been in the league 7 years, he's been the focal point of the offense three years in a row. Now he's gone for who knows how long.
But good thing he played in the preseason game. That one carry for the whole season sure was worth it in a game that doesn't count.
