Texans draft clarification

This is the norm between scouts and teams both. Most years there are only a handful of players where there is near universal agreement on a player based on watching tape or game play. Once we get into size/speed, injury history, scheme fit, off-the-field stuff, etc that gap grows further. There is a reason that by overall pick 5 most mock drafts can be thrown in the trash or some player thought of as 2nd rounder goes in the 5th or vice versa.

This yr is a very volatile yr even at the top of the draft. It contains only 2 guys that you're describing.

Bosa/Quinnen Williams

He could also go #1... Nick ain't Joey

This is true, Scouts have said Nick is better than Joey.

But with Joey having core injury issues I would be scared to death to pick him. Clowney has me scared. CnD said his issues began with bone spurs, followed by core issues, followed by knee issues.

I see the Cards trading the #1 pick.

I think Clowney's knee issue stems from our crappy field surface (which should've never been used or even been allowed a patent).

I marvel what Clowney has been able to do after microfracture surgery.. but it always leaves me thinking what he could of been if he never stepped into a damn crease in the middle of a professional playing field. Thinking about the stupidity of having a "grass pallet" field still irks me.

Agreed and despite what some say, It's awfully ironic that they put in the field turf soon after the Hartmann suit was settled. A little too ironic. We will never see what the Watt/Clowney duo could've become.

It was also right after it looked horrific for a playoff game but you always use Hartman who got guat.
