The bridge between stupid and useless is short.
Coaching plays a part no dispute. So does talent.
Ps : I'm holding a coach just as responsible or more so then Ricky. The but chin happens to be white.
Cant believe you went that route.

We got caught up in the hype? We? Look at your post history then into a mirror dude.
Actually what I am saying is that I think DW4 is better playing at a faster pace. But since that did not happen in this game it would have been wise to do that at the end of the third quarter through the fourth quarter of this game when there was still a punchers chance to win this game.I agree. It was smart for him to slow it down & settle Watson. He should have done it earlier.
Settle him down, get the score, then speed it up.
He should have done it sooner. He didn't. Speeding it up on that drive & that drive would have ended like all the others before it. Jmo
Then you gotta flush JJoe, KJ, Wright, Kjax, Colvin, Hal, etc, get it? They all sucked today so why is this all on Mathieu? He got let go in AZ over money not performance. The guy is still solid. You’re still going to pay in FA so what’s point?
He’s making 10m this year, I’d offer him that and a guaranteed amount that makes sense otherwise we’ll be using a draft pick again. Otherwise we have got to revamp the CBs and be able to have Kjax and Hal at safety.
He is not our damn GM anymore, so wtf are we still bringing him up. Again irrelevant crap, how about pointing blame on Obrien and Crennel. And we have the freaking talent unfortunately the coaching staff doesn't know how to use it.
Get out of your damn fantasy land.. he already grew out of that before we let him walk.
"Please" give me a break.. Bouye has been arguably their best corner (playing with Ramsey).
BTW.. WTF did bum ass Colvin do this year? Maybe we should actually keep grown talent instead of letting them walk to damn divisional rivals and are left with a crypt of aging corners and no cap space to even show for it.
You can't even attempt to excuse that decision.. it was shitty as hell, but par for the course in this city.
COLVIN DIDN'T EVEN PLAY!!.. ETC, We had to throw players like crappy ass Wright out on the damn field which cost us games which was one of the major reasons why we even had to play this damn game to begin with.
That was just another incedibibly stupid decision by this franchise.
Our schedule was easier this season because we had a lousy season last year, so with a healthy Watson, we should have had a good regular season record, and we did--but we weren't dominating by a long shot, we were 'escaping' with a couple of wins. Everyone keeps saying it but it can't be said enough--we weren't as good as our record, we have weaknesses that good teams are able to exploit. Our only chance would have been a miraculous post season where everything just 'clicked'...
Yeah you are right, we should have kept Bouye, I was just pissed in the moment. Not sorry about Brown though.
He's not a playmaker. He should be making closer to league minimum than premium dollars. I'm talking a major paycut if we're going to keep him.
So... about the draft.
Not mad or surprised by the outcome. As long as BoB is the HC it’s gonna be just like the George Strait song - I’ve Come to Expect it From You
The problem isn't simply throwing vs rushing. It's knowing when to call a WR screen, when to dial up a long pass, when to dial up the HB draw, how to scheme guys open, how to scheme quick routes like slants, how to scheme rub plays....I hate when you and Mr Tex try to water down what OB is responsible for and simply lay the blame on players. The coaching staff in the NFL matters more than any other sport and the Colts are the prime example for today.I understand all the OB criticism unless someone says he didn’t let Watson handle the reigns. The Texans handed the ball off to running backs 8 times. This was Watson’s game to win and he was pretty bad today. He had some shocking inaccurate passes, really terrible.

I’ve written before I want a complete turnover of the coaching staff except the new STs coach. The problem isn't simply throwing vs rushing. Now what I hate is when people ignore all the other issues inside of a game to place it square on one guy. The players own some responsibility sometimes don’t they? Yes, Watson didn’t Hoyer the game up but he had a bad game.
Good post. It's that the offensive system in Houston is inherently flawed, inasmuch as it's predicated on the running game, but there are very few short to intermediate routes. In other words, they want to ground the ball for short yardage, yet get chunk plays in the air.
I don't think O'Brien's "scheme" was anything that we expected when he came out of New England. The guy called plays for Tom Brady, which consisted of a lot of intermediate timing routes. Brady eats defenses up with that, and O'Brien is saying that Watson can't do the same?
I understand wanting to put your own stamp on your own team. I get that. However, when making your mark also means throwing everything else you learned from the past out of the window, that's damaging to your reputation, to the team, and to the city you represent.
This is O'Brien's fatal flaw...and this is where we sit today. I'm afraid that when/if they hand over the play calling to an OC, the OC will be limited by O'Brien's myopia.
The st play this year is a forgotten gem. So much better then the past. Get a real return man and I'll be thrilled.
I wish returns still happened in football. Would be nice to have more game variance by field position gains, etc.
He had a shitty performance because O’Brien has ruined him with the way he's been used over the course of his career thus far. Clock is off. Instinct is off. Decision-making is off. He's not put into a position to succeed.
He was trash today. My fear is that he's become that way and I fear that it's getting to be irreparable.
I think the OL played well. Blitz pickup was an issue. More so with recognition & Lamar Miller is too small to try to block a LB straight up.

LMAO..........Anybody talking about "we have the talent" to compete for a SB loses all credibility when speaking about this current texans team.
Not really a myth, it's just the way it works...you just said it yourself. You can argue that those 2 games out of 16 don't matter, but we won the division by 1 win, and lost the bye by 1 game. Honestly I didn't expect us to do as well as we did, just because we had an arguably better schedule than most (considering we'd be getting Watson and Watt back)--it's weird to say that, but I attribute a lot of the offense we saw last year, before Watson was injured, was due to it's 'improvised' nature, but given time to ummm...what's the best phrase? "tailor an offense" maybe? You have to have the right vision, and I wasn't confident our coaches could do that.Who perpatrates this easier schedule myth?
We always play 6 division games, we always play an NFC division (NFC East this year), we always play an AFC division (AFC east this year) that leaves 2 frikkin “easy” games.
We drew the Broncos and the Browns this year.
2 games.
Colts weren't and probably wont ever be a good match up for us till we make a lot of changes.
Its so many holes on this team with no depth. This is going to take at least 2 more seasons to fix.
SteelB been trying to tell people.
Typically of you. We won 11 games without having any ******* talent at all. The experts who think they know it all.
DW4 was trash today as a qb. Just admit it. His second yr in a the league.Young qb still growing as a passer.......accuracy
1st time in the playoffs.........nerves
limited weaponry to work with on offense.......confusion
bad o-line....that's gonna get him hit alot........accuracy, nerves
yeah DW4's performance today was about as predictable as my birthday & your assertion is fairly ridiculous and unfounded.
Im not worried though, It was a lesson for the kid...one that pretty much every qb gets their 1st go round in the dance. He'll learn & the team will grow & improve around him .

Just sayin
I have never hated another poster as much as I do you. You love watering down peoples thoughts into some generic ass take.He wasn't quite trash...but he clearly wasn't at his best...no disputing that at all...& of course you would, most of you guys think good offense is just a matter of calling the right play.
The defense is top 5 and got ran over. They couldn't get off the field in the first half. Couple that with the fact the Watson is just not an accurate passer, led to the defeat. I think they lost their invincibility when the Colts beat them in the second meeting and got out of their win streak. By the way the announcers where talking, you would have thought Watson was the second coming of Joe Montana. I am not sure if he was the 3rd best qb at the game. I am just not convinced he is that good. Clearly, the Colts outcoached and outplayed the Texans. And Luck is head and shoulders above Watson.
And look what happened when Luck got a competent play caller who could help cover the deficiencies.Watson's been sacked 60 plus times this year. No run game. Bad game management. Poor route designs downfield. I'm not telling you he's better then luck - but we can win with him.
Luck's had some bad ol's in the past and looked like or worse then watson.
having no talent.......& enough talent to compete for a SB are too different things. But you still mad b/c i shred your dumb ass takes....
Get a better coach who can maximize the talent he has, then we can talk.

80 and @Mr teX have both been summoned to the thunderdome!

I believe in conflict resolution. I think its therapeutic for all parties and may in fact result in a bond.
I know a guy - he happens to be a poster here named "big lou" and he owns lou's tavern. He has a basement where you guys can hash this out.
Just one thing. There are some rules. The first rule is...
