**Official Game-Day Thread** Dolphins at Texans, Thursday Oct 25, 2018!!

The quarterback situation throughout his tenure was of his choosing. He chose to keep Ryan Fitzpatrick. We didn't trade up for Derek Carr or Bridgewater or Garoppolo. He wanted Brian Hoyer and Ryan Mallett. He wanted Tom Savage. His terrible coaching put Brock Osweiler in an impossible situation to succeed.

Then he was given Watson and he still insisted on Savage and it was only until a complete embarrassment in Week 1 last year for him to throw Watson in at halftime. Then he hamstrung Watson even in the midst of Watson's dominance by not trusting him to beat the Seahawks and the Patriots.

He's not some innocent outsider to the results of this team.

QB is a hard problem to fix. We are lucky to have DW4. Pray for health!!

No, it never crossed my mind. Of course if the thought police are so sensitive and want to make my input selective or at "convenient times," let them delete them and send me to Siberia.
I don’t know why you’re such a negative nelly, but let us enjoy at least one night of victory before the bad news of injuries come down on us. If you simply can’t see that, I guess I shall block you. You provide insightful info, so it’s a shame, but it doesn’t have to be always negative.

Good game by the guys. Let's beat the heck out of Denver next week. The O-line needs to practice as a unit to keeps those turds off of Deshaun.

The subject of injuries is unfortunately difficult to turn into a positive. I'm sorry you feel putting me on ignore is a good option. But I guess being placed on ignore is better than being sent to Siberia.

wait... Siberia in the summer? or the winter? Let's not be hasty :D

As Texans fan, we already have little reason to celebrate. It’s worse when our little opportunity to celebrate is immediately ruined by speculation.

What's really gonna ******* suck is that everyone just talks about Will Fuller being the difference in the team.

If that's true and he's gone for the year, what, are we gonna just be right back to what we were Weeks 1-3?

Fuller out, no, Nuk out, probably. It's gonna hurt though.

I mean, we've had Hopkins without Fuller and the team looked like....most of the Bill O'Brien tenure.

If it's true that Will Fuller is the difference, then we're going to just go back to the usual. And if it's true that a single practically-trick player is the key and the absolute dependency to an entire team being successful, then the team is not very well-coached.

Aaron Reiss @aaronjreiss

Johnathan Joseph is in a walking boot in the #Texans locker room. Says he feels fine because they got the win and anticipates knowing more about his injury tomorrow.

Drew Dougherty @DoughertyDrew

Bill O'Brien has no update on WR Will Fuller, who left game w/knee injury.

And it could also be true we're only beating crap teams like ourselves. With our schedule that theory might not even be testable until the playoffs. Who knows?

Fuller being out crushes O'Brien's entire max-protect offense. He finally did something obvious which was run Fuller on a deep post-up route to capture the safety with a deep cross behind it (max protect 101). Our base play is usually a deep comeback or out route which again relies of Fuller scaring teams deep to separate the underneath coverage from the over, then the break. Without that, we don't have a threat who can separate from double coverage outside of Hopkins.

Doc gave a medical opinion based on what he saw ; if you let a comment like that bruise your view of win that would seem to be on you and those who liked your post. I thought "uh oh there's an elbow issue that could force Clowney from game" but it had nothing to do with how I viewed the game. Yeah go ahead and block him. You probably should.

I think everyone had the Texans at 5-3 at the midpoint, right? So what’s the big deal?
It's how they got there. The opponent in our wins were supposed to be so good such as Jags defense which I heard on radio was thought to be top 6 and then we win so why not give Texans some credit. Above someone said Dolphins spiralling down well perhaps but they were 4-3 and we have a "horrible O.Line, a QB that probably would end up in Methodist ICU by end of game and an iffy running game despite Miller having 100 yard game last Sunday; Thursday night game after a hard game in Jacksonville and a HC no one (me included) wanted. Lucky did you think we'd win 5 straight after losing three? I doubt anyone did.

If you are that sensitive to information after a win you should just put the internet in block too.

I like the fact that I can come here and find reliable information faster than what the media reports or glosses over.

Welp, McClain and Aaron Wilson and such are now talking torn ACL for Fuller. Probably true now.

******* disaster.
Are you going to ask others not to post report their negative information too?

CnD was right again.

The obvious solution is for the mods to create a Safe Forum where no one can post anything that could be considered offensive in any way.

I, for one, wouldn't last a day in there, but I think it's usefulness is there for all to see.

Is a message board post really keeping you from enjoying that butt whipping by the Texans? Doesn't sound like CND is the problem.

I think he gets it. That seemed very heat of the moment posts from DT and not something to be hammered on.

And he's not entirely wrong ... c'mon Doc, at least say "Woohoo Texans win!!! ... and our #2 receiver is probably out for the year"

For what it's worth, live at the game I feared it was ACL serious. But that didn't keep me from enjoying the night.

torn acl would certainly suck but not like its the first time a key player was lost for the season :bubbles:

isn't it nice to actually have a QB? some of those throws were into windows so tight you could barely see any daylight :jail:

funny now, one of Watson draft negatives, was he turns over the ball, yeah right :ahhaha:

still think Texans are a couple years away, but stranger things have happened :wesmantexanfan:

Nah, Doc, you're a great dude, but you don't have to have the coroner on speed-dial every time a Texans' player goes down. :)

The word "speculation" doesn't quite apply to an expert who's right all the time.

CnD keeps this forum immune from the consistently inaccurate injury reports from teams and the media. This includes faulty sideline reports during the game. So it doesn't make much sense to discourage our generous source of real-world information when the rest of the NFL fan base is virtually immersed in disinformation. Remember, this is the same league that wrote Dr. James Andrews a big fat check to stand on the Washington sideline and say that RG3 was good to play.

Enjoyment of the game should not rely on burying our heads in the sand. I want facts, so let's not discourage our only reliable source for that.

Five in a row is impressive. Glad to see some real life in these guys. We all knew Watson could do this, and I'm relieved as hell to see him getting it back together.

Watson is a winner I'm not shocked at what he has accomplished. Guy is a gamer.
