**Official Game-Day Thread** Texans at Jaguars, Sunday Oct 21, 2018!!

4 game winning streak - sole division leader. Yeah we didn’t impress, yeah we got lucky several times. Still there is way too much bitching on this forum...
Some of us want to see a superbowl caliber team. Not a 9-7 division winner that gets run off its home field wildcard weekend.

Said it last week this lining up for another OB division championship considering how our division is playing

Is this first place I see?

Where have you been the last 3 weeks?
Those teams did not have the injury issues the Jags had in this game. I will admit that those wins were underwhelming but to me this one falls flatter for me. I guess that is just me though. I guess I need to take into account that despite the Jags crappy offense they still have a top notch defense. I will just say that I will be happy for wins no matter how we get them.

Wasn’t Jacksonville in the AFC championship game last year? Tone down the biatching until there’s really something to biatch about.

The 2017 Jacksonville Jaguars were.

The 2018 Jacksonville Jaguars are a broken, beaten, garbage team.

Amazing to think they bring back bottles, let hurns and Robinson walk. And expect it to be better. Best thimg these guys did was draft fournette. Not Watson or mahommes. Pass on Lamar Jackson

Not sure why this would be any less impressive than the Texans previous 3 wins?
It just looked that way to me. With all the mediocrity it becomes hard to pick what game is least impressive. I will just be happy for the win given it was a big division win. I just hate the fact that we can't seem to put it all together and look as good as I know we can look.

So..Jax wins this garbage division in 2017, they’re a good team..we win it under BoB & we’re just setting ourselves up to be disappointed b/c we really suck and only won it b/c the division is trash....gotcha.
You only can beat whose in front of u.

Lol, can we really fix this o line in one offseason. Is Devlin in charge of the new personnel next year

Yes it can be done.
gone just as bad as you do.
In fact the entire OL will look better if they can trade for Humphries at the trade deadline.

Trust me, I want Devlin

You're right. You can only beat who's in front of you. And I'm glad we did.

That doesn't mean we're playing impressive ball and it doesn't mean that we'll beat good teams.

This team should be 7-0, tbh. That we're 4-3 and we had to scratch and claw to get to that 4-3 is a failing, not a success. That's what people object to.

DW seemed to make it through game in pretty good shape. No turnovers also. Surprising win. Is Jacksonville that bad?
Rumor has it, they got notification from the league that they are the Jaguars. The universe has corrected course.

Well this division produced 2 playoff teams past year. Didn't they both advance last year?

There’s some that would trade wins in order to give O’Brien the pink soap. I haven’t given up on Watson getting it going again. And the o-line has to get better with more experience. Has to.

And those folks are largely idiots. The way this team has fought back to take the lead in the division after starting 0-3 should show just what this team is made of and as much as people want to hate, that starts with BoB. Players still gotta continue to execute but this team plays for BoB...always has.

Meanwhile Jax players on the verge of quitting on Marrone. Vrabel and Reich losing games for Indy and Tenn

I predict we will be lucky to win 2 more games the rest of the season. We suck!

I see you have spoken before looking at our upcoming schedule.

We have a good chance to win out through the bye week & should be favored for a couple after. We can go into December 8-3... 7-4.

Playing a bunch of bad teams, no doubt. But learning who we are, what we do, what we are good at.

It's on O'Brien to recognize what we're up against, to win & prepare to play good teams we'll see if we're blessed enough to make the playoffs.

We're still learning.

It's Bill O'Brien's 5th year as a head coach.

That's the problem.

Yeah so? Both teams took their turn beating up on 2 other teams in the division that were collectively 8-24.

It really just illustrates the sillyness of the argument b/c u you can’t control who is in your division and the teams who pop up on your schedule from year to year.

Wins are to precious in this league to be whining about how “good” the win was.

Another divisional road win.
Not perfect, but much more convincing than previous 3 W's.
The defense was excellent again and were gassed in the 4th but still held it together.
They're improving but have a tough couple weeks ahead of them with a short week game against Miami on Thursday night and at Broncos on 11/4.

We know how precious wins are. We know success is not easy. That's why we want a team with a coach that can win against anyone and actually march forth through the playoffs, instead of only barely beating garbage teams and not showing any evolution in doing so for 5 years now.

One thing we don’t want is a turnover. Kessler looked better than Bortles but not lights out. They have 11 minutes to score two TDs. I am fine with playing conservative here against one of the NFL finest defenses...

The clock is our friend.

As many bitches have botched about O'brien's clock management, I'd think more people woul be on board with an opponent burning timeouts with 4+ minutes in the 4th. He's playing advanced checkers now.

This kind of thinking (on O'bs part) shows a guy who knows what he has & what he does not & making the decisions that could save his azs in critical situations.

You know I'm not an O'Brien fan. But this, I like what I'm seeing.

We're not the Patriots. We don't have Brady under center. This tells me he understands that, yet we have to find a way to win next week, the week after & so on & so forth.

It's time to start making lemonade.

While I understand this, there’s only 3 HC in the league who can say they have a HC that they know they can march forth in the playoffs with consistently....those HC’s also literally have all time great QB’s too.

Besides, the playoffs tend to be a different animal anyway.

Four in a row, impressive in the NFL no matter who you are or who you've been playing.

And I've been saying all along Jacksonville isn't what everyone thought they were. This is still the AFC South, if you know what I mean. And we're back on top.
The old man is happy... I'm happy.

That's how it goes when you lose your top 2 LT's your RG and your RT is playing hurt. Main reason the Jags suck.
& their top 2 RBs is TJ Yeldon & Jamaal Charles. I love me some Jamaal Charles, but I'm a realist.

Next time we meet, if Fournet & Hyde are their 1 & 2, this is a totally different game that home field advantage doesn't mean a whole lot.
