That last drive **** up is COMPLETELY on Watson..sorry if that doesn’t jive with you guys’ narrative.
I feel like putting The team in that situation is more the problem than how the players botched that situation. It may be hard for you to see, but the Titans are a bad team & they led most of the game.

When the game was tied & we had to punt in the 4th Qtr... against a bad team, that says something when the best our OC could come up with is back to back WR screens that were as poorly blocked as we've always poorly blocked them.

In the same situation, the Titans drive on the verge of stalling, they roll their QB out with a play action bootleg, allowing the QB who runs out the back of the end-zone or tries to throw a forward pass twice on the same possession to set his feet, scan the field & convert a crucial third down.

Trust me, I'd so much rather the bulb goes off in O'bs head & he starts to maximize those few moments of genius that gave us hope in the past, than watch McNair fumble another HC hire.

But we're 0-2 & the Jags are handling the Patriots handily at the moment.

May be over coaching him. OB so smart he makes everyone around him dumb. Only way to explain that ending. That play wasn't how DW4 came to be a legend in college.
Last year when change came BOB did not have all off season to come up with a plan.
This year he had plenty of time to think.
More time BOB has to think and then coach, the worse it is going to be. Again just my opinion.

Again, players play..coaches coach. Watson sitting back there holding the ball forever before getting sacked on the drive we got the FG on....ain’t got **** to with BoB.

Kaimi Fairbarn missing that fg early..
Lamm and the o-line holding on for dear life...
Clowney’s ass drawing penalties on the sideline not even in the ******* game!!!

None of that **** has to do with BoB. That’s, simply put PLAYERS not EXECUTING.

Welcome to the board Mrs. O’Brien.

You know, honestly, I would have never thought something like this would happen. I really did believe we'd beat their ass, if only slightly. Unfortunately this just reinforces my belief we just screwed.

Again.

Feel like the first loss was totally on O'Brien, feel like this one is more on Watson.

Seriously lacking in judgement at times.

Still could be considered his rookie season I guess, so taking our rookie lumps, but still too many crowned his ass before he learned to wipe it.

U guys so hard up to blame bob for everything...
FK OB. Did you watch the game??? This team is exactly what it’s capable of being under that worthless POS. Unprepared, outschemed and unmotivated. We just lost to a inferior team without their starting QB, RT, LT and TE. OB is not a good head coach, it’s that simple so take that “it’s not all his fault” crap somewhere else. He needs to go.

If you’re talking about the 2 punts..blame the player whom got called for holding on both of those drives that essentially killed them.
The penalties are never good I agree, but I'm real critical of the failed bomb pass on 3rd down in Titans territory. That led to 4th down in which OB decided to not trust his kicker and instead trust his punter to pin them deep. Not only does he fail in his plan to pin them deep, but also a flag was thrown for illegal touching as well. OB deserves his share of the blame.

Real talk though, **** u homie. Sorry it bothers u that I’m not a sheep and can think for myself.

guys like u come in (& call in ) and **** this otherwise good message board up with the typical drivel. Change the channel already.

Yeah b/c that’s how it always works right? When u guys realize that coaching isn’t responsible for every damn thing that happens on the field, ya’ll will be better off.
If this team finishes with a losing record it for sure will fall squarely on BO'Bs shoulders!

Listen to what you’re saying here.

He trusted Fairbarn to hit a 55 yd fg early in the game...he failed to hit it. He bets on his ST, Daniel and the ST....they FAIL to land the punt and pin them deep and then they compound the problem by tacking on a penalty. How exactly is any of that the fault of Bob? That he trusted them?

In coaching...that’s all u can do is trust that the players are going to execute.

I operate under the premise that most Fans are fickle...& most don’t know ****...period. For years its been ourGM...2 years ago it was “we just need a qb!!!”
Now it’s apparently been our HC holding us back...we’ll which is it?

even in the face of our star qb making questionable decisions, that are major in deciding games most still wanna sweep that **** under the rug b/c their tunnel vision tells them it’s the HC. It’s moronic.

U guys need to get a grip. Players play and coaches coach...and neither group is performing particularly well.
It's always been the coach for me.

**** Watson too today tbh. Is that what you want me to say? Because I'm not shy to say it.

Everyone on this team and in this organization can straight up eat cocks for what they've placed on us.

But again, if you're going to be heralded as the disciplinarian and the guy to finally bring structure and intelligence and success to this franchise, don't be surprised if you're the one getting blamed for things when nothing progresses.

Here's the deal. The Texans were tied with the Jags. A tie doesn't win the game. He knows that Fairnbairn has made it from that range before. If you look at the earlier miss, the ball didn't spin like it normally would, which means it was either tipped at the line or he didn't make great contact on that attempt. I definitely feel that if you have a chance to go ahead you have to do just that. Again, the goal should be to have more points than the other team, not play to tie. He needs to learn to trust the kicker too. It's not as if he's been missing FGs like Ian Howfield or something.

I can see both sides honestly. But he trusted the kicker earlier in the game and got burned. It was not a stupid decision on his part to trust the 1 part of his team (defense) that was playing pretty well .....up to that point they were anyway.

And if we’re being real, ST play was a big contributor to why we lost today.

Gave up a TD
missed fg
Penalties

They were horrible today

It could be worse..Vontae Davis retired at halftime for the bills today...He wasn't hurt or anything....just quit.

The Cardinals so far have scored a grand total of...…….6 pts in 2 games

The current Texan administration does not enthuse me.

The current head coach is a ******* idiot.

Nothing is working as I expected.

Glad I have good drugs.

Quality Backup!
And seeing the Jags embarrassing the Patriots ain’t making it no better...... it just assures me even more that we really do suck ass........ reality is starting to set in...... we aren’t nowhere near as good as the jags let alone anybody else in our division...... gonna be a long season

I dont think I've ever been enthuse
I've been enthused before, it's really kind of nice. When the koolaid drinkers start making sense, you know something has changed.

Kind of obvious that isn't right now though. I hope we eventually take advantage of Watson while we have him.

Your post points to failure at the HC position over the entire 5 year period.

2017 Astros: Earn It!
Just curious but is there a stud left tackle worth drafting with a top five pick in the 2019 NFL Draft? Or any highly rated offensive lineman for that matter. I can't believe two good teams like the Texans and Raiders are both 0-2.

At first I was really mad after Watson’s Bob Cousy re-enactment but apathy helped me deal with these feelings.

I think there’s still a chance we’ll end up 9-7 and BoB will keep his job. I’m starting to wonder if this seasons version of Watson is the long term one? Have we been duped?

Based on the quality of play in the first two games, we will struggle to get to 8-8. That's not to say we can't pull it together, but it isn't looking very likely.

He just needs to be better protected is all. When he's been protected he looks damn good. The problem is he's had someone in his kitchen pretty much every drop back & despite that, his play was noticeably better than last week against NE. He's making his fair share of plays off-schedule but you can't ask a young qb to do that every single damn drop back. Obviously, there are things he needs to work on, but he's ok for the most part. Fuller & Hop both had over 100 yds and a TD today.

You'd also be pleased to know DW4's reasoning for that play he said was "his instincts took over"...

Lol so let me get this straight, you’re trying to be different and even thought you’re clearly in the minority I better agree with you or I’m unworthy of even being acknowled because in your mind your opinion is the only one that matters. Got it!
