Wow lots here and why I enjoy this MB so much; good info and thoughts being discussed. Josh Sitton turns 32 in June but in this case...so what? Dude played very well; PFF 86 & #5 ranked OG. Due to space I am not posting article but this from 2011 {
https://www.profootballfocus.com/news/josh-sitton-complete-right-guard}:
PFF praised him as if he was their first born son. 38 straight games including playoffs not missing a snap is good. Yes this is old news but gives some history in making decision on him. I would sign both him and Norwell if players agree to offers. there is so much $ and caps can be "adjusted" over the years. Let's not forget extra cap can be created by cutting players like Allen, KJ, and Lamar Miller. I get it this is controversial but can be done. After 14 games 2017, Sitton allowed only 10 QB oressure in
335 snaps! Norwell was ranked #12 two spots lower with 85.6 Kevin Zeitler [highest paid OG] ranked #20 82.9. Sitton has been Mr. Consistent since entering NFl and 4 pro bowls in last six seasons. He comes from ZBS (if O'Brien keeps that) plus in 13 games 2017 he played LG/Rg and RT. Hit with guaranteed $ and he should sign. I think teams might low ball him and with all these guys, Houston needs to hit them hard with good deals but sign now and don't shop offer; very aggressive . I would have Norwell at LG though and Sitton right.
Draft: #68 OT Martinez Rankin can play LT but I start him at RT with Senat #98 to back up. Also select RG Gossett round six.
2018: LT Solder/Davenport, LG Norwell/KyleFuller, C Martin/Mancz, RG Sitton/Gossett, RT Rankin/Senat.
