Savage is a third string qb in this league.. I don’t think hes even a back up.
Maybe another year or two on the bench?

Yep, I see him becoming a mirror image of Weedens career.Maybe another year or two on the bench?

He will remain in the league.. there are over 75 qbs on NFL teams.. and hes not very good but he is not atrocious. He doesnt turn over the ball for the most part. Like I said, third string for someone.I would feel better about his chances to remain in the league if he could mirror Weedens career

Meh, maybe Im wrong but If Bortles can be a starter in this league, then I think Savage can be a third stringer. Maybe not..He was running 33% completion in a league that considers 59% bad.

Not for four straight years as Bortles isVince Young and Johnny Manziel and Blaine Gabbert were starters in this league... js

Oh absolutely TS is not as good as Bortles but one is a starter and another is career backup. One was a 3rd overall pick, the other one was a 4th round pick. Not gonna try to say that Bortles is good... Texian done left the building... but he's not TS bad
We might want to change the title of this thread to "Save Us FROM Savage," now. One little word can make all of the difference in a sentence.

No turnover possibility if you throw most of your passes out of the field of play. And maybe if Savage had received as many opportunities in the NFL as Bortels has, well Savages career might be in a far different place than it is now ?Meh, maybe Im wrong but If Bortles can be a starter in this league, then I think Savage can be a third stringer. Maybe not..
Naaaaw. This emphasizes how fxxkn pitiful the OB QB era has been other than Watson (who most of the OB minions didn't want).
I would like to believe that he should be able execute handoffs and take snaps from center. One thing to look lost because the NFl is too bi g for a player another when the basics are eluding him.
This dude is just bad very bad.I enjoy quoting myself at times...after tom Savage's first game

Why was Savage putting so much air under his passes? Has he always thrown like that? Really stood out to me.
Please do not mistake me for a Tom Savage fan, but no. He's looked better than he did Sunday, every other time he's taken the field. Not that he looked particularly good those other times, but I've never thought him to be inaccurate or whatever that was floating those balls out there like that.
This is really the crux of the matter. Just looking at the list of starting QBs since 2014 makes you shake your head, with one blind squirrel exception:
T. J. Yates
Deshaun Watson
Isn't this the third time for Yates now?
Yes.
Aside. Keenum is 4-2 230 ypg 88.8 rating backing up Teddy in Minny. He couldn't buy a roster spot from OB.
im gonna borrow that one lolhe’s still staring down WRs like it’s the most beautiful girl he’s ever seen.
How would he be sunday was only the second time he hit the field did he stub his toe or something.I wonder if he's banged up in some way.

Maybe we have just gotten spoiled with the play of Watson but if that's all we get from savage we are in real trouble.I presume he practices in some way.... or works out.... although results may suggest otherwise
reddit.com/nflstreams should serve you wellI didn't get a chance to see the game due to AFN not covering it

Are they safe?
Its a highly moderated site so the worse thing you have to worry about is pop-up hell but i have never seen a virus reported. Are they safe?
.... But we aren’t going to outscore LAR. If anything, it’s Yates after the Rams.
in early 1st quarter, TS looked scared.
against the leagues weakest defense and couldn't deliver, again
I'm ready to move onto Yates.
He's shown us he's a gamer in ways that Savage hasn't
I put that down to adrenaline and poor footwork, based on the limited snaps I watched Sunday. It seemed like he was making a determined effort to do things "faster" than he naturally would. Those can be corrected, but I doubt it against a strong defensive front like the Rams have. The Texans OL is a pure shambles everywhere but C. I put that squarely on Rick Smith's shoulders. Why was Savage putting so much air under his passes? Has he always thrown like that? Really stood out to me.
OB went back to the old playbook from what I saw, but I only watched 3/4's of the 1st half and the last 6 minutes of the 4th. What I did see was mostly hot garbage in a dumpster fire from the O and secondary. The secondary couldn't cover a pick up game at the old folks home.I'm going to go out on a limb and say that last week was uncharacteristic in the way that he Osweilered a lot of those passes. Nerves....maybe. Tough to follow what Watson had done and realizing the season is now up to him...yeah, more than likely. He didn't get any time prior to his (2) 1st team practices to work with Fuller in regards to timing. Davenport was making his 1st start at LT.
I didn't get a chance to see the game due to AFN not covering it but in all honesty, did O'Brien go back to the old TS Playbook or did he at least attempt to spice it up a little bit? I believe this is going to be Savage's first back to back starts ever. Maybe he can bounce back for a little better performance but the Texans will have no protection against Phillips all-out blitz plan. Hope O'Brien is really scheming something to burn the blitz or at least attempt to burn the blitz to help keep their defense a little more honest instead of being in tee-off mode.
