Cushing was trying to keep his paycheck coming. His cap for next 2 seasons $19.2 million. His play this season very questionable

I think he will get a new contract with the Seahawks

But dont kid yourself as to why he wanted out and he forced McNair's hand to make this trade happen.

Why would we trade Hopkins? Unlike Brown, he's young and in his prime. When he holds out he still shows up for camp and doesn't miss games. When he has a political disagreement he keeps it behind closed doors and doesn't air it in the media.

That's why he got paid and is a key component to the team and Brown is packing his bags.

I don’t put them on a pedestal. I just care that they play football well and not get suspended. I view football as..football. Nothing more.

yep, I just don't like available tackles but could see trading up for another position. We have three 6ths and draft really deep so far with corners, some who could play safety.

I know we are not proud of being the almost team.

We shall see. Right now the defense needs rebuilding all over again. Went from #1 to damn near last.

Finally got an offense, now after two great defensive years we can't trust them to hold a lead.

Well it seems like Duane was still bitter about losing the holdout battle and the McNair comments added to his discontent. Personally I feel all these players over reacted to McNairs comments but that’s just me. I don’t blame Duane for holding out trying to get a guarantee but he bluffed and lost. He was a good player for us and did good work in the community so in that respect I wish him well. Glad we got some much needed picks in return.

That 2019 2nd can be used as a 2018 3rd for trade purposes. For instance, we can package it with one of our 2018 3rds to move into the 2nd round, then we still have our compensatory 3rd.

I would never trust someone who leaves his team high and dry when they need him the most. Especially when they do an about face and say they are playing for their brothers on the field.

Give me the guy that will try to win on the field at all costs. Rice admitted to cheating. Montana even said if you're not cheating your not trying and that his team cheated.

You are making excuses.. I rather have my wife tell me that our relationship is on the rocks and in danger of failing unless I start changing my ways, than instead her just ******* the first guy she is attracted to.
 
 
Brian Cushing is more of a "moron" than a "cheater."

Duane Brown is a moron too. And a lying, delusional, perpetually aggrieved, whiny, cancerous piece of **** who left his team out to dry then acted like he was being such a big hero coming back 8 weeks later and 3 million dollars lighter.

I'd rather have the guy who's just a moron.

But come next year we'l have neither so it doesn't matter.

I had no issue with him holding out. I understand its a business and I personally prefer everyone to get theirs.
