Please feel free to tell me about it after Dak has at least 7 real regular season starts under his belt. Until then, feel free to flip your lucky coin.
Brock had a pretty good game. I know he had a few plays he most definitely would like to have back. But overall, Brock and the entire offense played much better.
I was extremely surprised at how good the offensive line held up.
Next week they will be challenged big time.
Hahaha ok Jay.He was his usual average self
Of the 32 teams in the NFL the Saints had the 45th worst defense. The Saints had one of, if not the, worst defenses in the NFL last season.
so this is how it's going to be all year?Of the 32 teams in the NFL the Saints had the 45th worst defense.
so this is how it's going to be all year?
every team we show success against "had the 40-something-th worse defense"?
Okay.

Hey now.. people were reminding us how bad the defenses were That Dakota was beating. I just wanted to put this in perspective. The Saints weren't very good on defense last season. They don't appear to have fixed their problem.
So does this say that Osweiler having a fairly good game against the Saints' "poop defense" mean he's not really progressing?Well the Saints did have a poop defense last year. I'm glad Brock looked better this week (that INT was ugly) and I hope he keeps the improvement train rolling.
So does this say that Osweiler having a fairly good game against the Saints' "poop defense" mean he's not really progressing?
Should we still be "skeptical"?![]()
If that is how you're going to interpret it then I guess that is how it's going to be. Lighten up Francis.so this is how it's going to be all year?

We should be skeptical until he wins the SuperbOwls. So does this say that Osweiler having a fairly good game against the Saints' "poop defense" mean he's not really progressing?

most of your post do that for you.Thereabout.
Interpret it as you will

& their offensive line is worse than it was last season. Poor Drew. He's going to play his butt off for that team, but... it's going to be a long, long season for him.
We should be skeptical until he wins the SuperbOwls.
Really, if you're not concerned... I don't know. I was more excited than not when we signed him. I thought he showed promise in his starts in Denver. But here, he's looking meh... ok, so he's learning a new offense, so his OL is learning that new offense as well, & yeah, maybe his WRs are learning the offense, as is the RBs. But Goddangot, the TEs have been in this system for two years. Well, two of the three.
You did. And I think we all do.I did say that I hoped he kept the improvement train rolling!
most of your post do that for you.
You did. And I think we all do.
But you and "Mr. Sunshine" brought up the "fact" that the Saints defense sucked last year. So I'm trying to understand if I should temper my delight that Osweiler showed better than he did against the (also sucky) Niner defense.
I'm not allor anything. I liked what I saw. Osweiler still needs to work on his timing and touch (especially in the redzone - I mean every pass was a 90-mph fastball) but I think that will come with more playing time and familiarity with his shiny new WR bunch. As someone in a different thread pointed out, this offense should be clicking by early-to-mid October.
I'll tell you what....
I'll start posting assumptions based on inference and conjecture as reality.
Start saying every decision made by the Texans front office is in error, because well they made the decision.
Throw in absolutes like NEVER and ALWAYS because I know it all already, future and past.
I'll even throw in a mundane stat sheet to back up my version of reality.
Hell, I'll even try to start being an asshole without being funny!
We will be best chums.
Keep trolling DB, keep trolling along with your vulgar middle school juvenile immature post that never bring much to the conversation. You don't like the way I post and I don't like the way you post. What you say you and I be done with this. You don't respond to me and I won't respond to you. That way folks won't have endure this unwelcomed and uncomfortable tit for tat any longer. I'll even give you the last word. Go ahead....I'll tell you what....

Well, since the end of last year, I have believed that number 5 is the best QB on the team. And I still think so.
I also believe Weeden is the best QB on the team at this point. Unfortunately, the only way Weeden will ever see the light of day during the regular season is if Brock and Savage both go down to injuries. Even if Brock throws pick sixes every game and the Texans are losing consistently, Osweiler will remain the starter because the Texans would NEVER bench a guy they're paying $tens of millions to.
BOB claims that Savage is the #2 guy because he knows the system better? Nonsense! The only reason Savage is #2 is because the Texans drafted him. That is the same stupidity why BOB started Hoyer and kept him in the Chiefs playoff game no matter how bad he looked. Even if Weeden didn't know the whole playbook, he definitely would've still given the Texans a good chance to win; with Hoyer the Texans had no chance!
When Oz gets excited that ball has some heat!
Just go tell O'Brien to hire you as QB coach cuz you're smarter than him or Godsey...
Oh yeah, they don't hire players moms do they?
If O'Brien is a good judge of QBs, then I'm a brain surgeon! What kind of coach is responsible for the worst QB showing in NFL playoff history? A lousy one!
I hope I'm wrong, but it is my opinion that Brock Osweiler will be a bust.
You're entitled to your opinion, but keep in mind that O'Brien is in the NFL and where are you? Brain Surgery you said?
Osweiler may not be the answer, but if he's not, Weeden is for damn sure not
Well the word I'm getting is that Osweiler is not the best-performing QB in the Texans training camp. The starting job was not earned, it was given to him only because he made seven starts for the Broncos last season, received a ton of publicity for it, and was rewarded with $tens of millions. The only QB more overhyped than Osweiler last season was Johnny Manziel.
This is exactly how one gets to MEDIOCRITY."We're coaching the heck out of our team. … I can't predict anything," said O'Brien, opting for common sense and reason during a time of preseason hysteria.
Right now, I'm more concerned about the fragile state of the Texans' offensive line than how many throws Osweiler nails in a game we hopefully won't remember in a few weeks.
I want to see a receiver other than DeAndre Hopkins in this offense. I want to know if Miller can walk in Arian Foster's shoes for 16 games – the latter struggled to fill his own the last two years.
Osweiler will be evaluated series by series, game by game, month by month. Just because he starts strong doesn't mean he'll finish that way. Bombing his initial September audition won't prove the Texans blew their cash on the wrong guy.
We'll know much more about Osweiler this time next year - and even then we'll still be trying to figure out if he's the true answer.
Everything else is just an overreaction.
Who should it have been given to?
I disagree. He was his usual average self
The starting job shouldn't be given to anyone; it should be earned! Whoever gives the team the best chance to win should be named the starter.
Being a Super Bowl backup to a legend should not automatically give one a starting position with another team.
