The Actual And Real 2016 Texans' Talk Mock Draft Extravaganza

Just a question, where are you planning to play him? Most folks seem to think he'll have to be inside in the NFL.

I like him as a player - was debating him and Higbee for Denver's pick.
Brothers played inside and outside at Mizzou, but he'll have to be inside in the Browns 34.

:)

Thank you, CBS Draft Sports.

Prior to last year, I'd have merged CBS with the Walter Football rankings (and possibly one other services ranks). But this year, it's just CBS.
I like Lance's write ups on NFL.com, as well. He gets a lot of info from NFL scouts that are insightful.

Lance is our boy, local, knows his stuff really great to see him have success. Use to post here often, back in the day :)

Karlos Dansby probably won't be playing that much longer. I see him as the eventual successor there. Also don't see any reason why he couldn't play a little OLB. His 3 cone drill was surprisingly good as well. 3rd fastest among LBs. He can move pretty well.

Isn't Dansby in Cincinnati now?

Cleveland runs a 34 and there is no way Brothers plays outside in that system. He is purely an inside guy for them.

But it's still a good pick. They need depth inside too.

I thought we weren't running the clock on tge weekend?
I didn't know that. So we could go until Monday 11AM before Doc picks? My recommendation is to cut to 2 hours or this will go on forever. The NFL cuts down from 15 minutes to 5 minutes.

I think it should have been 2 hours all along, but we do still have 3 weeks

He will be in before then. Maybe this weekend. We can alter the rules, but it should be when everyone can be around to realize there's a rule change.

Mockers were better at forwarding their picks last year. I am getting thread updates pushed to my phone via tapatalk, that could also speed up the process.

It appears that would be #157 going to the Broncos. The Broncos have 2 7ths, the higher is #228. Doubt we hear which soon so assuming higher...

Lol. Whoops... Looked at Cleveland's depth chart and it still had him on there. Thanks for not being too viscous.
And man, I'm providing all kinds of ammunition to use against me. Vicious. I certainly wouldn't want there to be a thick, sticky consistency between us...

By the way, this has been really fun. Glad I participated this year. It's my first time in all my years at TT to participate in the mock draft.

Thanks to everyone running this, and especially cak for keeping up with all the picks.

Lucky has helped out on that as well. Kudos for taking up my slack.

This has been my 1st year as well and it is an educational exercise. Thx to steelbtexan for getting me involved.

I just wanted to say thanks to everybody here. The commitment y'all make is greatly appreciated. I really enjoy doing this kind of stuff, just to see how others rate players in relation to where I have them. We have some really bright minds on this MB and I have no doubts if given the resources the Texans have could do a better job than has been done in the past.

Thanks to all for keeping the tradition alive. The best and the brightest post here. (Myself not included.)

Totally agree with your post... except the part in parenthesis

I "conversed" with Pencil Neck and gave him a list of ten picks for my 110th selection in case I am unavailable. I still use a dumb flip phone and a desktop so all that tapa-whatever doesn't keep me connected.

Sundays are always busy, but Monday I have a Dr.s apmt. (Pediatrist) squeezed between a choir practice (Joyful Noise) and a quartet practice (2DQ) and Tuesday I have another Dr.s apmt. in Houston followed by a Quartet performance (2DQ) at another church. Wednesday is another choir rehearsal (Celebration).

Then next Sunday the normal busy Sunday is topped off with a trip to Humble for the joint rehearsal and performance (of the Singing Men of Texas and the Singing Women of Texas.)

Luckily, after 110, my next pick isn't until 190.

So much for the quiet retirement life.

Tyler Higbee of Western Kentucky, who’s considered one of the top tight ends in the 2016 NFL Draft, is facing multiple charges after an early Sunday morning arrest in Bowling Green, Ky.

Zach Greenwell of the Bowling Green Daily News reported that Higbee, 23, was chargedwith second degree assault, second degree evading police and alcohol intoxication in a public place.

Well that should make him affordable.

The problem with youth is that they don't understand how to stay low profile on their way to cashing the big check. They've grown accustomed to athletic privilege.

OK. According to my sundial, the clock starts now. Doc Frost has until 11am to make his pick.

I am going to be out and about running personal errands for several hours.

I have srrono's pick for the Niners and Marshall's pick for the Rams if they're not around, but let's get this thing going again!

This thing could really take off if everybody started PM'ing a list of top choices to someone if you know you won't be around for awhile.

Sometimes 5-6 picks can go by in a hurry and all of a sudden your team is on the clock and you weren't expecting to be up until the next day.
