And Wentz has a grade of 1-2 while Jensen doesn't get drafted? Why is that? What makes another good NDSU QB top of the class while one just as good, if not better, goes unnoticed?
Personally, I don't touch Wentz higher than 4 just because of the school he goes to and the competition that school plays. It's one thing where everyone on an NFL team is good, even another where the top colleges have the majority of the players who make it to the NFL scattered on them, but it's an entirely different story playing D1-AA talent that only a handful of guys out of 120+ schools will make the next level, if that much.
I mean, even playing the best of the best in D1-AA like NDSU does since they're always in the championship game, isn't in the same quadrant of the galaxy in talent faced that you'd face in the Big 10, Pac 12, SEC let alone the NFL. 99.9% of those guys will never where a helmet again after college. How do you evaluate someone like that? I mean it's hard enough evaluating Cook or Goff, who play against teams that have at least a handful of NFL caliber players on them.
Not saying you can't find a stud at a small school, but that seems like tremendous odds to overcome to be using a high pick on. I don't care how good Wentz looks, I don't take him earlier than 4 because I don't get what makes him better than the guy before him who was just as good who didn't get drafted.
