Clemson and Georgia are in a nice battle right now. Clemson offensive coordinator, and Texas high school coaching boss, Chad Morris is a guy that could be seeing some offers after the season.

I don't know why he's not a head coach already. Morris did win a few State Championships with Garrett Gilbert at Lake Travis.

If Sumlin leaves and Morris is not hired for a HC position past 2016, I hope we can him back home to A&M.

Disappointed in Clemson. Their offense has been too QB reliant for the last few years and it might have caught up with them. They can't run the ball with their RB's.

Also, Florida State's defense is unreal. It's not fair to be that big and that athletic.

Winston not looking too hot. 2 INT's already and most of his yards came on 2 plays (one was a great throw by him, the other was a bomb to a wide open WR) I'm seeing a lot of quick throws and dink and dunk with this offense.

I think they approached the game as a momentum builder early but team was not focused at end of 1st half. I expect the coaches to fix it.

The FSU secondary is crazy good. PJ Williams and Jalen Ramsey are NFL players.

Pretty much the entire defense in NFL players. Same with the Offensive Line. One thing I'm noticing is that Winston puts a ton of faith in his WR's and tries to fit the ball into very tight windows. That's one thing when you're throwing it up to Benjamin and Shaw, but outside of Greene I'm not seeing any WR's on this team that can make those plays.

Winston is all over the place tonight. He's made 2 really good throws downfield but the rest of his passes have been inaccurate or with poor ball placement. Also made the 2 bad decisions on the INT's. He's obviously flustered and frustrated on the field and it's showing in his play. Fisher needs to settle him down.

Yeah, footwork is everywhere too.

National champions getting a run for their money. This is great week 1 football.

Big XII should be on notice. Okie State is going to make a run.

That might be the most unimpressive 370 yard effort I've ever seen. Rashad Greene absolutely stole the show for the FSU offense. Without him they probably lose this game because Winston really struggled for the majority of the game.

Props to OSU though. Their defense played great and their offense really gutted out a tough performance after getting completely stoned in the 1st quarter.

Mariota played well albeit against a much much lesser competition. He saw the field well and made all the right reads. Looked Good. On the 6 incomplete passes Mariota did throw the bad passes missed there mark considerably. Mariota will get a truer test of his abilities next week against Mich St.

QBs are going to throw INTs. I thought Winston played well. Had command of the game and looked like leader. One Winston INT was an ill advised throw. The CB was actually planking fully stretched out to make the INT. I gave the credit to that INT to the CB. A good effort on the CB part.

I said last year that I thought Rashad Greene was the best player on FSU's offense. I think that's true again this year.

Winston got the job done so credit is due. Stats looked good at the end and that TD run was pretty awesome. I still think he is overrated as a pro prospect.

It's also very irritating to watch a QB who has no idea what a play clock is. FSU burned three timeouts in this game to avoid delay of game penalties. And there where multiple other times where the coaches had to yell from the sideline for Winston to get the damn ball snapped.

Kinda how im starting to feel about Winston too.

I'm hearing that Texas QB David Ash suffered another concussion and will miss their next game. This would be his fourth in two years and his fifth in three. Career might be over.

Heard this too. Big blow for Texas. Might be a rebuilding year for Strong and the Horns unless Swoopes is better than expected.

Feel sorry for Ash, but it might be time to look at retirement unless he wants more lasting brain damage.

Yeah, I heard Charlie Strong's press conference a couple of hours ago (they blare it from loudspeakers in the streets of Austin as we are forced to kneel in reverent silence) and he said Ash was definitely out this coming week.

First game in the 1/2way done Kyle Field tomorrow. Completely redone student section. I got second deck seats so I'm excited, even if we're playing a nobody like Lamar (no offense to any Lamar grads, I'm speaking in terms of football).

CB Zack Sanchez Oklahoma goes out of game with what appeared to be a stinger. Has 2 INTs this year. The kid is a banger.
Julian Wilson just drills a Tulsa WR in the air!

As a Lamar grad and former student at Texas A&M, I consider any score within 70 a win for Lamar. So no offense taken. We're just a few years into the restoration of football (restarted in 2010) there anyway so you could say we're an expansion team.

It was difficult watching the FSU Citadel game. Citadel runs that triple option offense and they cut block like crazy. They were hi-lo blocking all game and the refs weren't calling it. Both starting defensive tackles and a back up got leg injuries, with Eddie Goldman being carted off and ending up in a boot. We scored 4 TDs on 4 possessions in the first half to make it 28-0. But after all the injuries, Jimbo decided to just throw in all the freshman for the rest of the game and run the clock out as much as possible. We didn't even try to score it seemed, we just wanted it to end.

Sucks to have had both starting DTs go down with leg injuries due to players engaging and having others literally lunge at their knee on every play. Despicable. FSU will have to play the same offense against Georgia Tech later in the year, but atleast they don't hi-lo block all game.

So is 73 a win for us? :D

To be fair, Lamar did score three so it was only a win by +70.

Kyle Allen looked a little shaky for us 1st drive, but straightened out the kinks in his game.

Your QB (Berry?) is deceptively fast. Made our D-line miss on a couple of would-be sacks.

Finally TV and internet showed up at my townhome. I'm in business.

The lineup for this weekend doesn't seem to exciting. #6 Georgia vs #24 SCar and Texas vs. #12 UCLA seem to be the bigtime matchups, other than that still snoozefest. A&M plays Rice this weekend at home, supposedly the MOB is going to perform at halftime so I'm excited to see that.

Interested in COrey Robinson LT for SCarolina 6'7 348 projecting him to RT after he loses weight, considered very physical and light feet for size. Any info on him appreciated.

Nope. Sort of a kissing your sister moment.

South Carolina OG AJ Cann may be the best OL in the 2015 draft.

There's some decent action going on this weekend.

ECU vs. Virginia Tech @ 11:00am
- Should be the best test of the year for ECU prospects Shane Carden (QB) and Justin Hardy (WR) and could give us a good look at VT prospects such as Detrick Bonner (FS) and Kyshoen Jarrett (SS). Also a good opportunity to check out future 1st round pick Kendall Fuller (CB).

West Virginia vs. Maryland @ 11:00am
- Good opportunity to check out some top receiving talent. Kevin White & Mario Alford for WVU and Stefon Diggs & Deon Long for Maryland.

Georgia vs. South Carolina @ 2:30pm
- Don't need to advertise much, just 2 words.......Todd Gurley.

Minnesota vs. TCU @ 3:00pm
- Interested to see Minnesota RB David Cobb vs the TCU front. Also want to see Minnesota DE Theiren Cockran against a real opponent. The guy is a freak and could be in for a big year.

Illinois vs. Washington @ 3:00pm
- Illinois is awful again this year but I'm interested to see Washington NT Danny Shelton against a BCS team. He's been unblockable so far this year.

Tennessee vs. Oklahoma @ 7:00pm
- We should get a good look at quite a few draft eligible OU O-Linemen against a stout Tennessee front, including UT ILB A.J. Johnson. Also get a good look at UT RB Marlin Lane against the athletic OU front led by NT Jordan Phillips.

UCLA vs. Texas @ 7:00pm
- Great chance to check out UCLA DE Owamagbe Odighizuwa, LB Eric Kendricks, and LB Myles Jack against an overmatched Texas O-Line. Also another chance to check out QB Brett Hundley although Texas' defense was exposed last week by BYU. Interested to see how DE Cedric Reed performs against an undermanned UCLA O-Line though.

Not a marquee lineup of games this week but if you're interested in some intriguing scouting matchups then you should be able to entertain yourself.

I would also add junior DT Malcom Brown to this list for Texas. He's quietly played like an All American through two games, despite getting little help from his teammates. I have a 2nd round grade on him at this point.

True enough, I forgot to list him. I like Diggs as a mid-rounder and Jordan Hicks as a mid-rounder too but his injury history will probably push him to the back of the draft or even UDFA status.

It will be interesting how Hundley responds to the pressure of those two beasts up front while playing behind a porous O-Line.

I thought this was a really cool idea WolverineFan had a couple weeks ago so I thought I'd copy him this week. Here's list of some of the top games this weekend and the matchups to watch:

UCLA vs. Arizona St, THU 9:00 FOX Sports
If UCLA QB Brett Hundley is cleared to play he will probably be asked to stay in the pocket and make throws to minimize the risk of reinjuring his elbow. This could be a good opportunity to watch him try to make plays with his arm against a decent defense. ASU OG Jamil Douglas will have his hands full with UCLA DT Ellis McCarthy. This should be the battle to watch in this game. Also keep an eye on underrated UCLA defensive prospects DE Owamagbe Odighizuwa and LB Eric Kendricks. ASU WR Jaelen Strong is a first round talent.

Tennessee vs. Georgia, SAT 11:00 ESPN
LB A.J. Johnson will be going head to head with superstar UGA RB Todd Gurley.

Stanford vs. Washington, SAT 3:15 FOX
QB Kevin Hogan and WR Ty Montgomery will work against talented UW CB Marcus Peters. This is a great opportunity to check out OT Andrus Peat go against UW DE/OLB Hauoli Kikaha. DT Danny Shelton gets matched up against a stout Stanford interior OL. Look for UW LB/S Shaq Thompson to move all over the field and make plays. S Jordan Richards is Stanford's best defensive player so look for him to get occasionally matched up with WR Kasen Williams.

Missouri vs. South Carolina, SAT 6:00 ESPN
OT Cory Robinson will be challenged by MIZZ DE/OLB Markus Golden. Also look out for SC OG A.J. Cann as well.

Oregon St vs. USC, SAT 9:30 ESPN
QB Sean Mannion works against a loaded USC defense, including LB Hayes Pullard. OSU C Isaac Seumalo has a chance to make himself a household name if he does well against the best player in the country, DE/DT Leonard Williams. USC WR Nelson Agholor gets matched up with underrated CB Steven Nelson.

Had a feeling A&M would drop the ball against Arky. Hate to see I've been right so far. Offense is playing like crap and wasting the few chances defense is giving them

A&M getting outcoached bad

Before the a&m TD Arkansas missed badly a 44 yard field goal

Arkansas lineman has to be kicking himself for that tripping penalty(negated a long run that would have had Arkansas first and goal at the one earlier in the game)

Tie game now 28-28 with 2:08 left in the forth.

Arkansas with the ball after the kickoff

Edit. Arkansas just went 4 and out. A&m poised to get the ball with a little over a minute left

I'm not watching next week. I might seriously have a heartattack.

Glad to squeak out of cursed Jerryworld with a win.

Time to watch Leonard Williams, USC, #94 in your program, the #1 defensive player in college football. However Robert Nkemdiche might have something to say about that.

Also watching Jamil Douglas Oline #74 for AZ St. played OG and just moved to LT.

Not a good week to be a top QB prospect.

Mariota
- Numbers were good but he made some mistakes and fumbled on Oregon's last possession to seal the loss.

Winston
- Another poor 1st half from him and he keeps turning the ball over. His numbers from the game are deceiving. His stats were padded big time late in the game. His TD and about half his yards came after FSU was up 4 scores.

Cook
- Got pressured a lot and was inaccurate. Forced some passes too. He has some tools but can get real sloppy under pressure.

Hundley
- So up and down. Stands in the pocket and makes some brilliant throws and then the next possession he freezes in the pocket and takes multiple sacks to kill a drive. No consistency in his game.

Petty
- Awful game against Texas. He was exposed big time in this one. Inaccurate and skittish. It's either a screen or a deep ball with him. Anything intermediate or over the middle is a crap shoot.

Hogan
- Awful. He seems to get worse every game. Not accurate, has horrible mechanics, and makes some very bad decisions. He threw some embarrassingly bad balls in some poor weather.

Shane Cardin, again, looked the best. Quick and accurate. Yes Hogan and Hundley cost their team a win and Driskell nearly did it again.

You've been on point with Carden all year. He's been really good and was excellent against a top notch Virginia Tech secondary. He's probably the top Senior QB this year.

Hogan is regressing by the game and Driskell just plain sucks. I fell for the measureables and let 2 decent games fool me into thinking he had turned the corner. He hasn't. Hundley played okay tonight and made some very clutch throws when they were down but when he's bad, he's bad. Took 10 sacks tonight. That can't happen.
