Houston Texans V Indianapolis Ponies Game Day thread

SWEEET!!! Before he kicked I was thinking, come on shut out... wide right... wide right... wide right...

Anyone else feel like maybe the defense is only looking good because of all of the miscues by the Colts? Not completely comfortable with the performance by them. The offense is lights out tho

We're getting sloppy. I don't like this. I want to see a solid drive now. **** conservative I want some momentum going into the next game.

Mike

there is no reason to keep shaub in the game.
(shutout over)

seriously, gary needs to start making SMART
coaching decisions..

TJ

Kerry Collins looking better now and the Houston defense like I have said hasn't been very good today. We made a few plays early on in the game, but the defense has looked very average.

Yeah, I think this win is pretty much in the bank, but I don't want to see them finish badly. Turnovers on two straight offensive plays isn't a way to finish strong.

I actually think its kind of a good thing. It gives the coaching staff something to climb their a$$es about next week.

Kind of funny how many conflicting views I'm reading on this forum...

- Take Schaub out, put in second stringers
- Stop playing conservative
- We should be running it down their throat
- Why the hell are we running

Haha. Some Texans fans will never be satisfied. Always need something to complain about.

shutouts are tough in the NFL. I didn't expect one.

just nice to see the defense come out early and punch the Colts in the mouth

To be honest, I don't think Wade has his d-line going after Collins like we did first half.

Laugh at that if you want, but we're not getting the same pressure with our d-linemen like we did in first half. They're not tired. The Colts didn't magically get better at blocking all of a sudden.

I have to think that the hounds are being called off a bit. Got no proof, just feels like we're not trying to kill Collins like we had earlier. Maybe it's now Wade who's pulling us back, maybe it's a mentality by the d-line themselves, as the game wears on, but I am not worried about this.

Shutouts of this magnitude, unlike a 13-0 or 10-0 shutout, are rare air. Tate holds onto the ball, the Colts might never get to the 50-yard line again.

Tate should keep his first TD ball, AND his first fumble ball. Both are reminders of how quickly fame can turn to misery.
