I hope so, either that or a DT that actually can get pressure. I mean how nice would that be?

We're getting it back? Is this a personal vendetta you're on or something? The difference between soapers and yourself is that there are a lot of us leaving comments to our effect. You're just one guy, which makes it borderline spam.

Dude, Goatcheese is an asshole. You should put him in global ignore. It makes a world of difference.

What? Might makes right?

No, I'm only implying that without soapers there wouldn't be much of a forum left here. At least that's the impression I get, I don't see many pro-Kubiak people around, let alone people that seem to believe it's a lack of talent that contributes to bad schemes, poor preparation, and absence of accountability. But I digress. We're all frustrated and infighting isn't going to do anyone any favors.

Whatever happened to holding players accountable? It shouldn't only be coaches needing to be held accountable.

I'm all for it!!!

That's what the coaches are for, holding players accountable. If players don't do their job, they need to be replaced. They also need to be coached to play a scheme that works against their opponent.

This defense is what kills us. If we only had a defense that could stop someone, our record would be much better then what it is. After this season, I don't care what we have to do, we need to get guys that play defense and get a better DC because Bush is NOT the answer.
Would that be the same Defense that has trouble scoring in the first half? The same Defense that can't protect Schaub?

This is a full team effort at suck.

There were still a chance of making the play off's at the start of the day, no matter how thin the chance were, it were there. It were time to stand up and be counted, to play for pride and the badge against a side who are playing for fook all. Yet looks what's come about. You have to ask questions, does the manager still have the backing of the team, is he still able to motivate them...or is everyone just sat about waiting for the change...

Rum.

There is truth in this. I know a number of posters who don't come round much anymore because of the haterade on the board.

I don't come on as often for this reason too.

And if it wasn't for the fact that this board is the most active and therefore the quickest to get news and "thought" about the team, I would have stopped after a couple weeks.

We need a new punter. He's been terrible at times, and average at best for others. Our defense can't stop anyone, especially if they start at the 40 every time

Schaub just has that ability to get sacked, fumble, throw an int, or otherwise make a boneheaded play at juuuust the right time.

It's uncanny really.

Pretty much, its a news stop now not a place to come and enjoy.

Not to mention I think the language and general courtesy on here has gone south too.

Sad days really.

Whenever we got a chance to extend the season be it a small chance but a chance we step up and make sure we do not get it.

very true. i was never very active, but I come on less and less than I used to for this reason.

For the Schaub haters, I hear Palmer may be on the market in a few weeks... :kitten:

At least the Bengals have realized that Palmer was fool's gold. Knowing our front office, it will take twice as long for the Texans to realize this with Schaub.

It's going to be an uphill climb to create a winner with him at qb.

Uhmm, yeah he did, he also got a shot in Seattle, KC & Philly. The Titans are his FIFTH stop.

I disagree with you on his getting a fair shot here but I do think he had to grow up and get his head straight to reach his full potential. System that fits his talents helps too.

No he didn't. He started his rookie year and had to drop 30 lbs and learn a new position. His 2nd year he had a major shoulder issue that he tried to play through and when he finally got healthy the last 2 game he had 4 sacks. The next year Kubiak came and we moved back to the 4-3 where he lead the team in sacks as a backup and was traded after his best preseason in '07. That's not a fair shot.

So where were you last year? You made none of these Schaub bashing comments before the season, nor after wk 1.

I'm cheering for a Miami comeback against the Bills so that they can keep their coach. Gives us a better shot at Cowher :) They are only down 3 now.

Allegedly he had a rotten attitude. I think that is part of the job description in Nashville though so I guess that makes sense.

It was clearly not a lack of coaching. He went through Philly as well where if anywhere I thought he'd flourish. He's lucky that someone gave him a shot after that many stops. Most players aren't that lucky.

Is it not a reflection of the product on the field? Fans are frustrated with running in place or seeing the team fall on their face.

When people get shitty product things aren't going to be all rainbows and butterflies.

True but dissenting opinions and intelligent discussion are not as welcome. We've always had garbage on the field, but we've had good discussion until these last few weeks.

So let me see If I got this right Kubiak didn't give him a shot and now he is pro bowl bound. you make a better case than anyone to get another coach in here.

Wah, he had to learn a new position...he's neither the first nor the last player that will be happening to. He's finally grown up and started playing like he was expected to do originally. Shame his teammate VY can't do the same. I guess he'll have to go somewhere else to get HIS "fair shot" too?

So, what are you guys' reasons that he didn't make a dent at his other 3 interim stops? :cricket:

I'm not a Schaub hater but I think he has a few limitations that our coaches seemingly refuse to try and scheme around. That confuses me because with very few exceptions QB's around the league all operate with limitations. I think you can win with him but we don't put him consistently in a position to succeed. That's what I think.

I agree, but I just think things are finally "coming to a head" with this organization. 9 seasons with no playoffs. Only a single lukewarm 9-7 win season during that span.
