NFL Draft 2010: Day 2

Since he is a converted HB, perhaps we will see a few goal line sets where he lines up in the backfield and bulldozes his way into the endzone.

Hasn't played DT all that long.... he is a bit 'early' perhaps but he is a guy who 'could' be a very explosive inside presence.

Everything I'm reading about Earl Mitchell puts him in the 4th round at best, and is a "project". Good initial burst, good tackler, can't bust double teams, had also played positions on offense and cought passes.

I'm not at all sure what to think of this pick yet.

I don't get it, Geno Atkins DT from Georgia ate Iupati's lunch in the Senior Bowl and they take this nobody???? What? Does his mom work on the Texans staff??

Seems like a pass rushing specialist. 6,5 sacks aint bad for a DT... still raw though. I don`t know anything about that guy, and close to nothing about any of the other DTs. But so far they`ve drafted players in positions we need, so I´m happy... sometimes you just have to trust your FO.

We seem to have a fascination with schools that begin with the letter A this year:
1. Kareem Jackson: Alabama
2. Ben Tate: Auburn
3. Earl Mitchell: Arizona

next pick: Mike Johnson from Alabama

Given what's left on the board we'd be nitpicking anything. Add another body to the DT rotation, hopefully we can push the pocket if we keep adding bodies to make it work.

At least we're getting out of the mid-atlantic this year. lol

I think he is, and that it is a compliment.

I don't want to be 'that' guy, but I like the pick.

Then again I liked the Okoye pick too.

I liked the Okoye pick, too, but it was because I thought such a young player was an intriguing choice.

This pick... I don't mind that we took him, I just think we could have taken him in the 4th. But, if this is the guy they want, it is good that they got him.

I admit I am shocked at some of the peole let on the board:
- Dwyer (really surprised at this - I thought he would be taken in the 2nd)
- McCoy (I really thought he'd go before now - some expected him to go in the first!)
- Campbell (some people had him going in the first, also!)

HOORAY!!!!

Colt McCoy endured pain and agony, only to face MORE pain and agony by being banished to the Cleveland Browns. LOL!!!!

Mel Kiper and Rich Eisen are going to start a MySpace page for Colt now.

who is the front office going to pick next or are we going to trade down for a couple of late 7th rounders. the brain trust is definitely bargain shopping.
