I do like that.
If you want to look like an Arena League team I guess that’s alright.
This helmet to me is a fiercer new representation, hopefully reflecting the team's future play. If you want to look at an Arena League team, I invite you to replay binge on the Texans past games. If you want to look like an Arena League team I guess that’s alright.

Besides probable copywrite infringement, there's another reason, like maybe panzie colors.I’m not digging the side horns. The Texans Toro logo is just fine. It sits on the helmet perfectly. I’ve literally felt that putting a logo that prominently features steel blue on a helmet that’s steel blue, sort of washes the logo.
Texans could go bright white with the helmet, and it would be pretty solid. As I’ve mentioned in several post(s), a really cool impact color for the helmet would be “Metallic Gun Metal Gray”. This base color would lend itself to complimenting the Toro logo whether it remains steel blue and battle red or Columbia blue and battle red.
What I always liked about the Columbia Blue and Red combination…….it’s an exclusive color combination not being used by any other NFL team.

I see now what you are saying, but I think you are being a little too self conscious. Other teams do the horns/wings on the helmet. I think the Texans take on it is more modern and the OKC inspired helmet is more of a dated version.
Edit:
If anything it looks like a helmet from a video game.
As far as how they play, sure. I don't really care if they wear purple and pink polka dots as long as they win football games. An Arena League team would be an improvement over the past couple of years.
No one was a bigger Oiler fan than I was. But I've always hated Columbia Blue. 2nd worse uniforms behind the orange creamsicle Bucs. Fine colors for a golf game. Sucks for a football game.As for the colors of Columbia Blue
Bradshaw would have looked magnificent in this.
Mean Joe Greene doesn't look so mean.
Pink Joe Greene? Doesn't have the same ring to it.Mean Joe Greene doesn't look so mean.
As of 2019, Amy Strunk has definitely not relinquished the Oilers name, uniforms or colors. Can you point us to a source that shows otherwise to date? The McNair’s may have successfully negotiated the use of colors with the Adams Family. On the other hand, I don’t think the Adams Family would ever relinquish the rights to the Oilers name.
As for the colors of Columbia Blue and Battle Red……winning makes the colors great. That was proven during the hey days of the Oilers.
My exact point. Colors in themselves can make a difference.Mean Joe Greene doesn't look so mean.

They weren't that happy during the 21 seasons when the team was wearing creamsickle. The team was 120 games under .500 during the span, and often near the bottom of attendance figures. 200,000 more fans, 25k/game, went to Bucs home games the year they switched to pewter and red.Funny, but it seems like that’s the uniform Tampa Bay fans are most happy with when utilized.
Don't really have an issue with those since they've been around for so long.
You are starting to remind me of those old timers who want to bring back Oiler blue because they can’t get used to the Texans’ colors! Lol.
It is a matter of opinion at this point. I am not a fan of the oiler blue stuff.
So $22.5M to sign free agents.
I can see some cuts coming to make room for alternate talent. So $22.5M to sign free agents.
Interesting. I had never heard of the UFL before. It looks like it's going to be played on a full size field. The Houston team is going to have open tryouts next weekend.
Troy expects Tunsil extension saving ~$11 million and later, perhaps in season Howard which should free up a few more. Then cuts and maybe a Cooks trade. Should be plenty of cap to get solid FA. Looking at you Nick!So $22.5M to sign free agents.

He usually makes hard cuts and will probably need to do so again for DR's grocery list.Caserio can get more space by re doing Tunsil/Howard and cutting guys like Murray.
This may take a year. DeMeco really won't know what he has until his team goes through a pre-season and season. He usually makes hard cuts and will probably need to do so again for DR's grocery list.
If we're going to bring in some needed talent that is.
I'm all for cutting the deadwood DR don't want.
In Jimmy Johnson's first year with the Cowboys, he avoided getting close to the players because he knew he was going to have to cut many of them. This may take a year. DeMeco really won't know what he has until his team goes through a pre-season and season.
$22M ain't crap. I'm really disappointed were "impressed" as a fan base with where we are two years into our rebuild. One of the least talented teams in the league, 50 contracts, $22M free.
They can easily get another 30 mil if need be.$22M ain't crap. I'm really disappointed were "impressed" as a fan base with where we are two years into our rebuild. One of the least talented teams in the league, 50 contracts, $22M free.
smh.
But, but I’m told Caserio has been doing a great job with drafts and clearing out cap space and all that. Is this not the case?$22M ain't crap. That is just more evidence the cap isn't "fixed" not close & nowhere close to where it should be after 2 yearsThey can easily get another 30 mil if need be.

Renegotiating contracts for need is not where we want to be now. That’s where a contender should be.They will be sitting on between 50-60 mil in cap space if needed. How much cap space to you want them to have?

Caserio has made Cooks untradeable. Cooks dead cap is more than the salary cap hit, ($34,220,742) vs $26,463,302. It will cost the Texans an additional $8MM to cut or trade Cooks than to keep him (a Caserio specialty). Remember two years ago when I told you the Texans needed to trade Cooks and you said no because he needed to be here for Mills? That was right after you you went over the moon because Caserio drafted Mills. You said it was brilliant. You use to be on top of stuff like this but that was before you lost your way. Now you have a 30 yr old WR that has become just another major FUBAR.They aren't renegotiating for need. They're trying to retain a top 3 guy at his position and create more cap space too. Will you feel better about the cap space after Cooks is traded and Murray is cut. That should add 14-15 mil to the cap.
