Food for thought...
AFC SOUTH
C Greg Mancz
2016 snaps: 1120
Key stat: Allowed just 18 total pressures across 1,120 snaps over the regular season.
Another star of the PFF college grading, Mancz somehow went undrafted in 2015, but started last season for the Texans at center and had five perfect games of pass protection as well as grading solidly as a run-blocker over the year. His PFF grade of 84.2 was good enough to rank eighth in the NFL, higher than multiple Pro Bowl players. Mancz didn’t allow a sack or hit across two playoff games.
This was his rookie season.
Could have been special by his second season AT CENTER dammit.
Food for thought...
For some.ancient history
For some.
What is?In NFL circles, for all
What is?
And?2016
And?
Not quite. And what? I answered your question
Not quite.
What is ancient history?
And?2016
And?
Disagree. And in NFL terms, 2016 is ancient history
Disagree.
Plenty of players from 2016 still on the roster.
So... If you had to choose between a talented right tackle that is expected to go late first, early 2nd, or an equally talented, but recently injured left tackle late 2nd or 3rd round, which would you prefer?
This is a tough question to answer. It all depends on who is there at #23 but I don't advocate them picking a RT in the 1st if there are better players available at other positions like CB or DE etc... But, at the same time, if that RT is the best available player, then yes, take him! Don't wait for an injured 3rd round LT that may, or may not, be there and may, or may not, be ready to play when the season starts. I guess I'm more of a "bird in the hand" guy in this situation!
That injured LT you reference, would he be a real person, or just an example used for illustration ?
I think he’s talking about Cajuste
I think that's who TK was referring to but I don't know for sure.

#Texans have done plenty of work on this years offensive tackle class. So many prospects they have worked out or met with. Making sure they have as much info on the position group when the draft arrives.
Williams is the only one they haven't met with.I guess they figure the top 3 out of reach? I haven't seen that they have met with Dillard, Taylor or Williams
If only we had a coach to teach Dillard to run block. I still don't see him beating out Davenport 2019 if selected.
Only @thunderkyss knows for sure... and it may have been purely hypothetical
Tweet from @PatDStat: Kalil also added that the #Texans called him soon after he was relased from Carolina.
I guess he was always the first option for O'Brien. It will be funny if Lamm outplays him
If Kalil stays healthy (Doubtful) than this wont happen.
So why so down on Little, pray tell ? Apparently lots of other folk are too including the draft-nicks as he started out to be among the leading OTs last year but since he's seldom spotted in the first round of most mocks ?Please, no Little in the first, would rather go CB if top three tackles are gone

Maybe they finally watched enough tape. I watched him in a bunch of games because he was highly rated .... I wanted to like him, but I never saw that much to like !
I still like him
But he went from my #1 rated OT, to my # 3 rated OT.
Right because he's likely to be the best the Texans can do @ 23 in the way of a LT.So you would be ok with him at #23?
Little quits too much, doesn't finish plays, doesn't improve. Lives off his god given talent, so not a first rounder to me. I dont even see him dominate on tape in college. He is the prototypical five star recruit that still looks like tarzan and plays like JaneSo why so down on Little, pray tell ?
