Hey, he didn't mess up on ST today, so that's an improvement.

And lol if anybody saw it, Wade Phillips put his hands up in the air whenever he found out they got a first down and are gonna win the game. Whatever it takes for the Girls to get some pride.

Funny, just before they ran that play, I was thinking, if I was QB I would say "Screw it! I'M running the darn thing!"
 
Another week, another empty bench around Jacoby Jones. It seems like every week he's sitting alone, either he stop taking showers, or teammates are getting fed-up with his choking.
 
Another thing.......is anybody else getting tired of the two organizations trying to force this into a rivalry?

This is NOT a rivalry.....I mean sure it's nice to have a little bragging rights, but two teams that only play once every 4 years are not a rivals.

I don't think I'm ever going to see what many of you see in Jacoby Jones. He's a fast guy with poor WR skills and an inability to take his coaching when it comes to PR duties. He's still swinging that ball around like it's a bag of oranges on his way home from the grocery store.

If Williams hadn't been injured I'd have left Jones off the team. He's nothing special despite the Texans PR campaign to make him into a marquee player. As things stand he probably makes it but I don't know if that's necessarily a good thing.
 
What the flying $#%@ was that defensive holding call at the end of the game? Am I just that biased? This game was bull ****!
 
Okay I have figured it out.... The Texans koozie that I have been using for the last seven years is bad luck. I'll throw it away so we can"t start winning...

Right! At the end of the game, my first thought was tag, you're it! So next year will be the Texans turn for that Cup. After half time, I was more interested in my poker game. The Cowboys will need to work on turnovers, the Texans have some areas to improve upon and I believe that they will.
 
I blame it more on that last defensive play when it looked like a turnover. I think we try and make this more then it seems about the Cowboys as I have more hate for the Titans then I ever will for the Cowboys. When the Oilers left that rivalry left.

thats way too harsh

1. hes a 3rd draft pick.. not exactly burning a hole in the cap
2. hes young and inconsistent. he dropped one pass and gave a great effort on another incompletion. AD, leach,daniels, dreessen etc all did that. plus jj had a great return
3. at least he has some good plays as well as the odd bad plays. we have alot more that just give us bad plays

JJ took a step out of my doghouse tonight. he ran determined and like his old self for the first time in ages

edit: geez.. easy to see who's take up mario's role as easy target. im way more worried about the defensive personnel (players and coaches) than the offence. id like to go on record as saying i believe JJ will come good in a year or two at the latest. he should step up some more this season maybe if he gets his act together quickly

I don't see why you guys are hating on Jones. He missed a crucial 2 pt conversion yes, but his game today was pretty good.

Did he fumble or something like that and I just missed it or what?
 
We started the game with the youngest O-line ever.
And then we brought in even younger guys!

Just need to improve on tacklings.

And actually, we shoulda out-sack the girls by one, LOL!

I'm not calm because we had a legitimate chance to win the game, something I always want to do whether it's preseason or the playoffs. I want to win. And I truly believe the refs robbed us all game. Numerous BS holding calls. But the worst! The absolute %$#*W@! worst was that defensive holding call to end the game. You do not call that BS when the game is on the line with less that two minutes left. You let the guys play freaking football and we school Dallas on that final drive, should have gotten the ball back with time to put us into field goal range, and had Kris Brown (one of the best kickers in the game) win the game for us.

That is why I am not calm! :aggressive:

I lived in Dallas and Cowboys fans don't even acknowledge the Texans organization, must of the hate is completely one sided, which in the end kinda makes us look bush league IMO.

I mean don't get me wrong......I loathe "Mr. Houstonian cowboys fan", because "Mr. Houstonian cowboys fan" is always running his mouth about the success of yester year, but other than that, I don't really give a crap about the cowboys or feel like hating them is worth my energy.

What I hate the most is "Mr. Houstonian Titans fan", they are the dumbest people of all.....they say "I'm loyal to my team and my Oilers", like that team was loyal to them or something.

Well said. He was definitely held (watch the replay on that TD pass to him) which was the entire reason he bobbled the ball. He couldn't even get his left arm up to grab the ball because he was being yanked on by some homosexual cowboy.

Yes he did screw up on the 2 pt conversion, but put us into the position to win the game with that kick return. I give his night a C+
